Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And of course me, Catlover04! Hello RTV people, How are you on this beautiful, sunny, but cold Sunday morning? I've been watching a lot of BBC TV lately. There's "Survivor UK" - the United Kingdom has finally gotten into the game. The season actually aired before Christmas (while the US season was going on, and I didn't know it!). But now that I'm six episodes in, I can say they have done the show justice. There is also "Traitors UK" season two. They do this program well in the UK. Similarly, we are six episodes in as well it's been much fun. In my opinion, Claudia is one of the best "Traitor" hosts in the game. No nonsense. All business. But still with a nice way about her too. Ali and I have been chatting these two shows. If anyone cares to join us, please catch up and get in on the fun. Not sure when we will pick up, but we do have a lot of open nights this week to work with. What I am MOST looking forward to is "Australian Survivor: Titans Vs. Rebels" which will get underway in Australia on February 5th. I've yet to find a full cast list or much in the way of news. "Inside Survivor" is usually the place to go and they have not yet made any announcements. Traditionally this show does three episodes a week so chatting is challenging. Getting access is also a struggle. If you have a good vpn, you can find ways to watch. There is a Facebook group that helps with links but I'm reluctant to mention its name because the original group was taken down. Oops! If you have an extra five bucks a month to spare, you could become a "Patreon" supporter of RHAP and they provide you the links to everything (I think. Don't quote me on that). Well, it was that way at one time. I can only assume it still is. And that little bit of money each month helps support and keeps the RHAP site running. No, I am not a Patreon. But it might be worth it for an international Survivor obsessed fan like me. Finally, "The Traitors USA" season two started up on Friday. Caution: if you want to avoid spoilers, stay off Twitter (or "X") completely. It seems that is all they talk about these days. At one point this weekend, nine of the top ten tweeting items were "#TraitorsUSA" and the names of eight players. Without even once clicking on one of those sites, I am reasonably confident I know who the first three traitors are. And could offer a good guess on who the first boot was. Seriously, spoiler-avoiders: stay completely away! Anyway.... international TV is where it's at for me right now. I even found that the entire five seasons of "Ghosts UK" is on that BBC site so I will finish that up while I'm in the mood for it. CBS only gave us a teaser. The TV world here in the US will get better pretty soon though. Things are slowly getting back to normal as you will see as we go through our week. Our favorite "Resident Alien" is returning on SYFY soon. Season three will have its premiere on February 14th on both Syfy and the USA network. Peacock will have the episodes the next day as well. Such quirky alien fun this show is #QAF. Just the right amount of creepy and doesn't take itself too seriously, allowing for a hilarious element to balance everything. Alan Tudyk could not have been better cast. This is the role he was born to play. Like Skylar Astin on "So Help Me Todd". Other new shows coming up soon.... "Next Level Chef" on January 28th "Tracker", the new CBS Justin Hartley show, on February 11th (I think it will premiere right after the Super Bowl). "Ghosts" and "So Help Me Todd" on February 15th "Survivor 46" on February 28th "The Amazing Race" on March 13th Things are looking up, TV Wise. Now if only someone would strip WM of his Netflix obsession so that he will join in our chat fun as consistently as he used to. **just kidding, WM**. (But.... Oscar season! It's why I LOVE Netflix!) Though we are missing you for this "Survivor UK" chat. You are the one who normally enthusiastically participates in this stuff. I'll keep sending you links. Let us know what you think when you get a chance to check it out. Moving on to our upcoming week..... Sunday, January 14th "All Creatures Great and Small: Carpe Diem", Season 4 Episode 2, 9 pm on PBS Siegfried hires an experienced bookkeeper; James and Helen take inspiration from "Carpe Diem" and make a long-awaited decision. This is such a nice little show. In fact, I think I'm becoming a bit enamored with the PBS Masterpiece Theater world (since when? heh) because the show right before it is "Scarlett and the Duke", After seeing the final few minutes of it last week, I now want to catch up and watch it in full. And after THAT comes... "Funny Woman", Season 1 Episode 2, 10 pm on PBS Barbara lands a lead role in a new TV sitcom opposite Gabriel Hogan, but news from home threatens to derail her plans. This began last week and I must say... I really enjoyed the premiere. I'm determined to catch episode two tonight. Set in sixties "swinging London", a beautiful young woman with a dream to be a funny TV star like her hero Lucille Ball (who was neither British nor beautiful) , moves to London to make a go of it! The soundtrack alone... fun! The best music of the sixties came from England (with my apologies to Motown). Monday, January 15th Wide open. A great night to continue "Survivor UK", Ali? I don't think I'm going to make a new page. We will just continue on the page already set up for the season. Tuesday, January 16th "NCIS Sydney: Bunker Down", Season 1 Episode 7, 8 pm on CBS When a U.S. Navy researcher is found dead at a glitzy tech launch in a secret underground bunker, part of the team heads over to investigate, only to find themselves trapped inside with limited oxygen when the bunker fails to open. I do like this show so plan to continue for now.... I read an article the other day which listed all the NCIS franchise shows and was surprised to see "Hawaii Five-0" (which I did watch in its entirety and enjoyed a lot), and "Jag" (which I did know was related, but didn't know it was considered part of the official franchise) both listed. Seems like there was another one on the list that surprised me, but... nope, can't think of what it was. Wait... it was "Scorpion"! Is that considered an NCIS franchise show? I had no idea. Moving on.... "La Brea: Don't Look Up", Season 3 Episode 2, 9 pm on NBC As the survivors attempt to integrate with the villagers at the fort, a flock of vicious pterodactyls attack their new home; Ty tries to figure out his next steps and seeks help from an old friend. Such a strange show... but I LIKE it! Wednesday, January 17th The return of all the "Chicago" shows on NBC! I know this makes EJetson happy. Does this include "Chicago Scorpion"? "HeeHeeHee I've seen episodes here and there but haven't really binged through any of the seasons. I keep saying I'm going to but just haven't gotten around to it yet. One day. Retirement plan? One must plan to keep busy! And adopting four more cats might not be enough! Thursday, January 18th Also, the "Law & Order" shows are back on NBC! Can't say I've seen much of "Law and Order" either. But the star of "Resident Alien" is obsessed with it - in particular, leading man Jerry Orbach. It's how he learned English, bingeing that show when he first arrived on Earth. "Traitors UK" By this night, we could have some "Traitors UK" episodes available. This will be my first pick. Or we could do "Survivor UK". Friday, January 19th "Going Home" on Great American Pureflix will release episode three today. I will make time for this, a beautiful in every way show. However, if Ali is free, we can also continue our Survivor/Traitors UK watches. "Going Home" is an on-demand thing, so I can catch it whenever I please. These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments.
