Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And of course, me, Catlover04! Hello RTV people, How are you on this gorgeous Sunday morning? Seriously, it's been a lovely weekend weather-wise for us. Sunny, not terribly cold. Sadly, I've missed it all. It's been a sick weekend for me, so I haven't done much but sleep and watch movies. Feeling a lot better today though. And just in time for week two of "Australian Survivor: Titans Vs. Rebels". The season is off and running - and it turns out, I'm not the ONLY one who has trouble waiting until Friday to watch. WM! There are three episodes a week airing in Australia, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Here in the US, episode links can be found fairly quickly if you know where to look. I know Monday is out of the question for a channel chat. Tuesday is hard as well. I'd be open to Wednesday at 9 pm. Thursday at 9 pm. Friday is a good option. Now that I've invested in the first week, I know I won't be able to wait long to catch episodes as soon as they become available. Feras the Cheshire Cat (and "Naughty Sandwich" Dude). Raymond the Village Idiot. Marc, Cool as a Bald Cucumber. These are only a few of the nicknames we've attached the players so far.(Also, #TurnItDownAFewNotches Lady. #InappropriatelyDressedRussianBabe #V2) Curious? Then catch up on week one and join us for week two. Australian Survivor: Always a fun ride. And more risque than their American counterpart. All that being said, our chat calendar could be filling up quite a lot more in the coming weeks as TV shows make their way back onto the network TV schedule. Here is a link to the EW Calendar, if anyone is interested. 2024 TV premiere dates: Schedule for new and returning shows Quite a few things on that list I'm interested in: "Tracker", for one. The new Justin Hartley show that will premiere after the Super Bowl next Sunday, and then move to 9 pm on Sunday for its regular time slot - causing a conflict with "All Creatures Great and Small" AND "The Way Home". Good grief! "So Help Me Todd" returns on Thursday, February 15th at 9 pm followed by a repeat of the premiere of "Tracker" for anyone who didn't stay up after the Super Bowl to catch it. "Ghosts" and the final season of "Young Sheldon" also return on that same Thursday, causing a conflict with "Next Level Chef". Dang it! "Fire Country" returns on Friday, February 16th. A show I liked but was upset at the way season one ended. So now I must find out what happens next. "Survivor 46", will premiere on February 28th with a two-hour episode. Episode two on March 6th will also be two hours. Then on March 13th, "The Amazing Race 36" will premiere, returning both shows to a ninety-minute format. That's only a touch of what we have in store for us in the coming weeks. Now, let's move on to this week's fun: Sunday, February 4th "The Way Home: When You Were Young", Season 2 episode 3, 9 pm, Hallmark The Landry women and Elliot reflect on what it means to grow up as they hang on to memories from their younger days while accepting who they have become. This episode, we'll finally see where young Jacob has been all this time. And if it will be possible for him to be returned to his original timeline so he can grow up with his family. Was that young Jacob we saw in the shadows watching his younger self play with a sparkler a couple of weeks ago? Or was it someone else? This is quite a mystery and I LOVE it! Can't wait to see where the story goes. Monday, February 5th "The Bachelor: Joey Graziadei", Season 28, Episode 3, 8 pm on ABC Is it possible we already know who will win the season after only TWO episodes? Joey and Daisy are staring at each other with such loving eyes that we have to wonder how he will possibly fake interest in any other woman for the upcoming dates.... "The Abigail Mysteries", 8 pm on Great American... Struggling to come to terms with loss, Abby Brooks goes on a journey of faith, reconnection and adventure as she works with local cop and childhood crush Matt to solve a mystery. Well, Great American is replaying this fun movie so I might have to watch it before seeking out episode four of "Australian Survivor". You know I'll do it... I can't help myself. Tuesday, February 6th "La Brea: The Road Home, Part 1", Season 3 Episode 5, 9 pm on NBC A traitor turning on the survivors leads to a deadly confrontation as they're shocked to learn where Eve has been taken. Strange - the synopsis for this episode is the same as last week? I'm confused.... "Quantum Leap: The Family Treasure", Season 2 Episode 10, 10 pm on NBC A cursed treasure hunt draws Ben to Mexico in 1953, putting him between two estranged siblings struggling with their father's legacy; as they navigate a series of lethal obstacles, Ben finds the real challenge is repairing this broken family's bond. And what Zap2It posted for "Quantum Leap" is also the same as last week. But according to the IMDb episode list, it is the correct one for THIS Week. Same with "La Brea". Zap2It was confused either last week or this week - and I'm not sure which is correct. Guess we will have to watch to find out. Wednesday, February 7th "Wild Cards: Strangers on a Wave", Season 1 Episode 4, 8 pm on The CW After a surfer gets shot and washes up on the beach, Ellis goes under cover and Max puts on her detective hat to unravel a criminal plot worthy of Hitchcock. While I'm chatting episode four, you guys will be watching episode five. Let me know if "Australian Survivor" episode four is do-able at 9 pm after this. Thursday, February 8th "Next Level Chef: PROS, Auditions", Season 3 Episode 3 The auditions conclude as the professional chefs battle for one of the coveted five spots. I really do love that they have given us a peak at the audition phase for this show. I think we will continue to have many more seasons to enjoy for a long time to come. Gordon Ramsey seems to be golden where TV shows are concerned. Then, Australian Survivor Episode 5 at 9 pm? Friday, February 9th A new episode for "Going Home" will be released on Great American Pureflix... Such and amazing and beautiful show.... As for "Australian Survivor", if we manage episode four on Wednesday at 9 pm, episode five on Thursday at 9 pm, then come Friday we can watch episode six. That might work for THIS week - although probably not for the full season. Then after we see all three episodes, be sure to visit the "Talking Tribal" segment. Hosted by Shannon Guss and King George, this season's third host is one of Australia's favorite players: Chrissy. It's sort of a mini version of her podcast where they break down the three episodes of the week in a fun and entertaining way. It's findable on YouTube - not even region blocked. Shannon Guss is my favorite podcaster when it comes to all things International "Survivor". And George, as insufferable as he could be as a player, is actually quite a fantastic analyst of the show. He podcasts best when his back is against the wall and he's forced to be nice to his fellow hosts; when he isn't, he makes arrogant and condescending comments to them. These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments.
