Hello fans of "Game Show Like TV" shows! Have to put it this way because I have no idea if this show has many fans.... Season five already? Why have I never watched this before now? Because it used to be hosted by Sofia Vergara?
Since the ultimate in "guessing" game shows - "The Masked Singer" - has ended, anyone care to join me for more brain-teasing fun with this? Watched last week's show and really enjoyed it. Tonight's guests are Tom Lennon, D'Arcy Carden, Alfonso Ribeiro and Andrea Savage. We should probably have heard of all of them, shouldn't we? (This judges list is for the Canadians who had the wrong episode last week). Anyone care to play along? Who wants to live chat "To Tell The Truth" at 10 pm, right after "Holey Moley"?
Comments
Hello Holey Moley fans, The fun of this show can often be found in the slapstick, goofy, elementary school humor of the hosts, Rob Riggle in particular (while I prefer sly straight man Joe better; he says so much with just his facial expressions)
**Fun Fact: Watched the animated movie "Ugly Dolls" last night (voiced by Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and pre-"Voice" Nick Jonas) which had a robot that was voiced by none other than Rob Riggle! Perhaps explains where the "robot" concept from the last "Holey Moley" came from. And the ingenuity is that it doesn't REMOTELY resemble any kind of mini-golf I've ever played! This season is looking MUCH more "Fear Factor" than golf! But I find it a very fun diversion. Who wants to cive chat "Holey Moley" at 9 pm... ...followed by "To Tell The Truth" if anyone is interested. Hello AGT fans, Do we still have any fans of this show? I plan to watch despite my disappointment in recent years. We will be getting the return of Heidi - but also the addition of Sophia Vergara, who might be too annoying a personality to put up with. I'm willing to give her a shot. And I DO like Terry Crews as the host. Maybe if he had a funny sidekick as "Britain's Got Talent" does (two hosts being funny together between acts) it would be more entertaining. Still, it's summer and time for AGT and I'm going to dive right in... since there is so little in the way of new TV these days. Anyone with me? Who wants to live chat AGT at 9 pm? If no one shows up, I'll save my comments for next day. I know we do have a few watchers who are not live chatters; maybe they'll be here tomorrow? We'll see. The Titan Games, Season 2 Premiere Show synopsis reads like this: "Following Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's belief that people have the potential to be the best they can be, exceptional everyday people test their strength and spirit as they compete head-to-head in hopes of reaching their goal of becoming a Titan."
I know we had a few who followed this show last summer. I think I watched a few episodes but didn't really follow it to the end -not with my full attention anyway. I will do a live chat page for this and we will see who shows up to play. Anyone planning to watch? A spontaneous silly and hopefully mockworthy RTV Opportunity! Looks kind of fun to a few of us... so maybe a few more will drop by. Jack Black hosting an Escape Room party with celebrities such as Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Adam Scott, and Ben Stiller! Can't resist checking it out. Followed by "Holy Moley II; The Sequel". Hello Holey Moley fans, Time to begin season two of this goofy little show. If you missed it last summer, it's like "Wipeout" only on an elaborate mini golf course. Funny hosts. Interesting courses. And unless something has changed since last season, they are playing for $25,000, the plaid jacket and the "Golden Putter" trophy. Update: This season, as per the ABC website, the prize money has been upped to $250,000. Oh my God, they upped it tenfold! Are we SURE that wasn't just a typo? Hope they still get the plaid jacket and the golden putter trophy. Also, read that Australia has their own version of this show and that Rob Riggle will also be a commentator there. The man sure gets around! Don't know if it has aired yet, but.. just FYI. Anyway, this show proved to be a lot of fun and I, for one, am really looking forward to tonight's premiere! Who wants to live chat "Holey Moley II: The Sequel" at 9 pm? Thought I'd just do one page to cover both finales. As you know, the two shows will be coming to their conclusions tonight and tomorrow. "The Voice" is a three hour finale. I think the first hour will be mostly a look back. Then at 9 pm, a lot of musical numbers leading up to the crowning of a winner at the last minute before 11 pm. Our final five is: Thunderstorm Artis, Toneisha Harris, Todd Tilghman, Cammwess, and Micah Iverson. "The Masked Singer" begins at eight pm and ends at nne. I think it's a "look back" kind of thing that will lead into tomorrow night's finale. The episode synopsis says something about "performances from all 18 characters". Could just be stuff we have already seen, but it might be fun. The final three leading into the finale are: the Turtle, the Frog, and the Dark Angel. Will use this same page for "The Voice" and "The Masked Singer" tonight and tomorrow. Is this a good plan? Anyone planning to play along? Who wants to live chat the finales of "The Voice" and "The Masked Singer"? Hello American Idol Fans, Here is what we have to expect from the finale (which arrived a LOT faster than I would have thought): "The top five perform a song that celebrates their induction into this group, plus a previously performed song. America's real-time vote determines the winner; special performances from music legends, including a performance of "We Are the World". Only one more episode... hard to believe. I'm sure I will watch on time and I'll go ahead and put up a page. Just in case. Anyone plan to watch American Idol's Finale at 8 pm? Hello Masked Singer fans, Looking forward to this semi-final round... and will be avoiding any entertainment news completely today to avoid any spoilers (although you've laready been to EW this morning to express your joy about Tony's Survivor win!). This is the issue we have watching this show on a "delayed chat" basis - so hard to avoid spoilers.
But so far I'm good for tonight. Assume we will start at 9 pm. I actually work today and won't be home till about 8 pm so the later start time is good for me. Who wants to delay mask "The Watched Singer" at 9 pm? **Next Wednesday, I'll be advocating watching the finale on time as a live chat, with no Survivor to distract us! Hello The Voice fans, Not sure how many will be on hand to chat, considering that Bachelor Show ("Listen To Your Heart") is on at the same time. I am actually still a bit behind. I'll go ahead and watch, being okay with having missed some, if anyone is up for a chat. Let me know. I will be gone all afternoon. Won't be home till about 8 pm. Anyone care to voice The Chat tonight? |
