"Heartland: True Colors, New Tricks", Season 16 Episode 9, Streaming exclusively on UpTV in the US7/27/2023 Hello Heartland Fans, Amy leads an overnight trail ride to help with Jessica's new photography job. On the ride, Amy and Jack have a disagreement about Finn. Lou's latest mayoral event upsets Rick.
Awww.. all the work they put into this season to establishing a connection between Amy and Finn. So sad, since the actor who played Finn has passed away in real life. The question is, do they replace Finn with another actor, or simply find a way to write the character out of the series? Whichever way it goes, I have suddenly become team Caleb for the new Amy love interest. So funny: early in the series I was Team Ty and thought Caleb was annoying in his effort (short-lived as it was) to get her attention, heh. Caleb has become a lovable goofball over the seasons and NOW seems a good fit for her to me. We shall see what happens. Taking a day trip today on my first day of vacation from work, but I'm sure I'll be back before 8 pm in plenty of time to do this chat.

"Heartland: Running Down a Dream", Season 16 Episode 8, Streaming exclusively on UpTV in the US7/20/2023 Hello Heartfan lands, Amy teaches Lyndy how to barrel race (because she wants to go on TARCanada for the next "Heroes" season? #TeamBarrelRacersHumour). Logan's father (ALSO played by legendary Canadian character actor Gabriel Hogan! Because he's THAT popular!) arrives at Heartland. Jessica seeks distraction from a disappointment in New York (she ordered improperly and was refused service by the notorious soup Nazi! "No soup for you!!"). Katie gets her ears pierced, causing a fight with Lou (oh, that Lou! Did she have a child just so that she would always have someone to fight with?).
Last week's episode was my favorite of the season so far - despite Lou's intrusion into Katie's privacy. It was a nostalgic look back at some of the season's beloved characters: Mallory and Jake; Katie's dad Peter (played by Canadian favorite Gabriel Hogan). Looking forward to this week. It has an unbeatable bar to reach! Hello Heartland fans, An unlucky farewell follows a turbulent incident. Amy worries that Finn's worst case penario has come to sass. Without Katie's permission, Lou reads her journal.
Just being nosy - or is Katie doing something that has mom concerned? For me, that makes the difference on whether reading the journal is acceptable. If Katie accidentally left it out and Lou was just curious, then Lou is completely wrong and should have put it away and never touched it. But what if Lou has a good reason to be concerned about Katie? What if daughter is behaving badly? Or in a completely inconsistent way, leaving Lou the impression that something might be terribly wrong? Could Katie be involved in something harmful, and reading the diary might expose it? You'd get a pass for that. However, this is Katie we're talking about. Can't imagine her behaving badly enough for Mom to breech her privacy like that. I'm going with "Lou is being nosy and has no business in Katie's journal" because that sounds like the Lou I know. We have established that this character drives me nuts sometimes - and for some reason, I find myself trusting Katie more than Lou. We shall find out tonight. Who wants to hart "Chatland" at 8 pm-ish? I don't think I'll be running late tonight and can do this whenever you are ready. Hello Heartland fans, Tim goes to Jessica's art gallery debut in NY, where he is hoping that Shane will show up, since Shane is currently living in PA (Pennsylvania? Port Angeles, Washington? Puerto Alamo?) A cool cross between a horse and a zebra is a challenge for Amy.
A cross between a horse and a zebra? Hey, is this episode going to be animated and turn into a remake of the 2005 Frankie Muniz flick "Racing Stripes", the movie that may or may not have introduced the world to Hayden Panettiere? #SundayRatPageHumour 8 pm ish? Might be running a bit late.... |
