Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: Officer Nolan mildly injures himself while chasing down a shoplifter and the local district attorney wants to charge the suspect with assault, despite Nolan's wishes; Lucy goes under cover; Lopez' wedding venue is seized by the FBI.
I don't have nearly as much to say here. I still like the show. Haven't been as enthused about this season, but the likable, engaging characters will bring me back in September - assuming there will BE a next season? Have we heard the word? This is also a finale. Next Sunday will be far less busy, for sure. Who wants to Live Chat The Rookie at 10 pm?

Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: Officers Nolan and Bradford hope they can de-escalate a drug war before any innocent lives are lost; Officer Harper hopes she can get Officer Chen ready to go under cover.
Last time we saw Nolan's mom (Frances Fisher), she was told in no uncertain terms to leave his house. Something tells me she won't be making a sentimental appearance to honour this occasion tonight! Who wants to Live Chat The Rookie at 10 pm? Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "After rushing his son to the hospital following his collapse, Nolan is reunited with his ex-wife, and they must come together to help their son; Detective Lopez discovers La Fiera is in the same hospital and wants to find out exactly why."
Reading this synopsis is making me realize that we haven't seen Nolan's doctor friend (played by Ali Lartner) all season. I can't recall how that ended. Whimsicali? Do you remember? I recall we agreed the doctor was good for our Nolan - but something happened to break them up. Details...they are escaping me. On my proofread, I seem to recall something about her ex-husband coming back in the picture? I think that was it... now I remember. Who wants to Live Chat the Rookie at 10 pm? No to insert the missing pic from the Rat page. Sorry for the oversite, Nolan. Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "When professor Fiona Ryan's car window is smashed following a series of mysterious notes, Nolan volunteers to guard her house overnight; Lucy notices that Tim is being much nicer to his new trainee than he was with her and she does not like it."
Tim... apparently has become a "softie". Heh. But will he still attempt to train his dog using his "rookie cop" techniques? Who wants to Live Chat The Rookie at 10 pm? Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "Harper and Nolan respond to a bank robbery in progress and realize the motives of the thief run much deeper than just needing money; Jackson and Chen's first day riding without training officers isn't what they thought it would be."
Now that the original Rookies aren't Rookies anymore... will we get NEW Rookies to get to know? I guess they had to have Nolan have some kind of problem to delay his promotion out of "Rookie" since the title is specifically about HIM. Maybe they can change the title to Rookie Detective, if he goes that route. Or, The Rookie Training Officer.. heh. Who wants to Live Chat The Rookie at 10 pm. Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "An "Amber Alert" sends the team on a race against time to find a newborn infant who was stolen from a local hospital; Officers Jackson and Chen work their last shift as rookies as Officer Nolan continues for 30 more days."
Aww. an episode involving a baby. It always makes me queasy when the story involves anyone harming a child. I might have trouble with this. The baby better be okay when the episode is over (It will. Turns out the Emergency Response Team thought the mom died of a drug overdose after giving birth, and at the exact right moment, dad grabbed the infant and ran off with him. Amber alert! But riding on a bus, dad soon realized he was incapable of raising a child on his own right now, and left him at fire station. The firefighters brought the newborn to a local hospital, where he was promptly adopted by a family who had just lost one of their triplets mom had just delivered. They turn out to be the greatest family in television history. Happily ever after!) Hmm... WM? Pretty sure this scenario has already been used. Sorry. Who wants to Live Chat The Rookie at 10 pm? Hello Rookie Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "Officer Nolan, Officer Harper and Detective Lopez are assigned to the kidnapping of the son of a criminal court judge who has a long list of enemies who could possibly be involved."
Also, we have the return of "The Rookie". Suddenly, Sunday has become a very busy TV night! Who wants to Live Chat "The Rookie" at 10 pm? Hello Rookie fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "The team gets the true crime docuseries treatment when it analyzes a recent case featuring a former child actor whose adult life has garnered him a cult following."
Who IS this former child star, I wonder? Would have been fun if they had gotten someone recognizable to us as a former child star. like Chris Marquette (he would have been a fun one). Hmm... I do not recognize this actor so I guess the casting department doesn't think like me. Who wants to live chat "The Rookie" at 10 pm? Hello Rookie fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: "Officer Nolan's decision to return to school to become a training officer proves to be much harder than he expected; Officer Chen considers going into undercover work after getting a taste of the job."
School is hard for Nolan? Nooo (maybe tough professors demand hard work instead skating by on personal charm?). I'm sure in the end he will succeed. I sort of like this plot twist for Nolan; choosing to train future cops to be as kind and compassionate as he is (but also giving up his dream of becoming a detective?) Who wants to live rook "The Chattie" at 10 pm? Hello Rookie fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: Officer Nolan is taken hostage by a man with nothing to lose; Officer Jackson and his training officer, Officer Doug Stanton, reach a tipping point in their relationship that could end Jackson's career.
I suspect that instead of ending Jackson's career, the bad cop will be ousted from the show (do we expect the same result for the similar arc on "Prodigal Son"?) We can hope. Who wants to live chat "The Rookie" at 10 pm? |
