So many movies; so much to do; so little time. Tried to do this justice last night but it's late and Friday is my busy day so bear with me! I only made it through three movies last week. Those three were: 1. B&B Merry, the Sunday night offering from Great American Family. Starring Jen Lilly and Jesse Hutch about a family owned struggling B&B that invites a travel blog writer to come and visit in the hopes that she will give them a positive review. Of course, she finds more than just a well run B&B. She also finds love. Awww. Nice little movie. 2. Christmas on Candy Cane Lane, with Andrea Barber turned out to be a fun little movie. Who knew Andrea Barber could pull off a non-Kimmy kind of role but she did and she did it quite well. 3. A Fabled Holiday from Hallmark was a very enjoyable movie which sort of felt a little bit "Once Upon A Timey" to me, without the known fairy tale characters. heh. The plot a bit hard to explain but the movie was fun and worth the watch. Now let's move on to this week's fun - Beginning with Great American Christmas! Here is the link to the Great American Family website for your viewing pleasure: Which will actually give you a more accurate picture. This calendar is not the same as the schedule on the site for this weekend so I'm assuming the site is correct one?. Schedule - Great American Family Friday, December 9th The movie showing as scheduled here is actually next weekend. Nothing new here tonight. Saturday, December 10th, 8 pm "The Art of Christmas" starring Bridgette Kingsley and Joe Towne After her latest gallery exhibition literally goes up in flames, struggling artist Liv James accepts a teaching job at a local elementary school to make ends meet. I checked on the Frndly Guide and this is the movini showing and NOT the one you see listed above. Somewhere they made some changes and forgot to alert me. Sorry. Sunday, December 11th at 8 pm "The Crown Prince of Christmas" starring Cindy Busby and Jilon VanOver Madison jokingly tells her overbearing family that she is dating the prince of a small European nation. The joke goes too far as her friend/co-worker Sebastian is roped into impersonating the prince while visiting her family in New Jersey. Aww Cindy Busby. All of us obsessed "Heartland" fans know Cindy well. Well, and from a few pretty wonderful movies my favorite of which is Hallmark's "Autumn Stables" - another Kevin McGarry movie (he's EVERYWHERE just like Gabrial Hogan}. No idea why they chose to leave her "Prince" out of this picture. But looking forward to this one. But will dvr and on demand because.. wait for it! Keep reading.... Next, It's "Countdown to Christmas" on Hallmark! Friday, December 9th "The Most Colorful Time of the Year", 8 pm starring Katrina Bolden and Christopher Russell A colorblind elementary school teacher meets an optometrist who helps bring color into his life in time for the holidays. This one looks like an interesting story. Saturday, December 10th on The Hallmark Channel "The Christmas Class Reunion" starring Aimee Teegarden and Tyler Novan Reuniting at Christmastime for their 15-year high school reunion, two former classmates challenge each other to remember who they were, who they are, and who they want to be. What you DON'T see on this schedule is... Hallmark Moves and Mysteries at 8 pm "The Gift of Peace" starring Nikki DeLoach and Brennan Elliott Traci lost her faith after tragedy, but begins to find inspiration, hope, and peace with a new community when she joins a grief support group at Christmas. The movie they've been touting as their "first ever" faith-based movie - (wrong - if movies and TV Shows based on the writings of famed Christian Author Jeanette Oke are not considered FAITH BASED, then something is wrong. Hallmark has done a bunch of those. "Love Comes Softly and that entire series of movies that came after". "When Calls the Heart" to name a few. Not to mention movies based on the writings of famed Christian Writer Karen Kingsbury) - Anyway, THIS movie that they have been advertising so much as the FIRST EVER didn't even make it onto the above calendar. That being said, I will for sure try to catch this one. Sunday, December 11th "Holiday Sitter"... Johnathan Bennett I won't be watching this one... I will be..... beep, beep beep.... Interrupting this Christmas Movie info page for the following Public Service Announcement for Sunday, December 11th at 7 pm!!!!! - My enthusiasm runneth over for - The Chosen, Global Livestream at 7 pm! Available on their App which can be accessed by casting to your TV from your Phone, the app is available on both Roku and Fire TV, usually they do these Livestreams on YouTube and maybe even Facebook Watch. Will confirm this... You read that right - this night is the night when our friends from The Chosen are releasing the first episode of Season 3, which will include an interview with cast favorite Paras Patel, who plays Matthew. Also, there is that re-watch of the Christmas movie "The Messengers" from last season that I would like to do this weekend as a lead up to the main event on Sunday - maybe on Saturday night? This event might capture my entire weekend! So Christmas movies will be a bit on the back burner. I will, for sure, DVR any that I want to make sure to catch though, never fear. Okay, not a Christmas movie, per se... but the greatest story of all time told in a truly amazing way. HIGHLY recommend. Let me know if anyone cares to play along. Next, "The Most Uplifting Christmas Ever" on UpTV. A link to their website's schedule: Watch Uplifting Christmas Movies With Your Family - UPtv! Saturday, December 10th at 7 pm "A Royal Christmas Match" starring Jordanna Largy and Matthew McCaull Princess Camille travels to America to create a cross-cultural college exchange program and falls for Professor Rhett. But when she discovers he was hired by her father to escort her, aka babysit her, she wonders if he cares more about her or his career. I'm really behind on my UpTV movies. It might be after Christmas before I get to everything, I want to get to but the problem with THAT is, usually after Christmas, I'm over the desire to watch them. Better try to work a few in before Christmas is over. Sunday, December 11th, 7 pm "Santa's Got Style" starring Franko Lo Presti and Kathryn Davis When Madison is charged with coming up with a new idea for the holiday season, she decides that they would hire a young Santa with lots of fashionable styles. This one looks fun, but will have to wait until after The Chosen - Global Livestream! Did I mention how excited I am about Season 3? Not a once. :-}} And finally, "It's a Wonderful Lifetime", on Lifetime Thursday, December 8th Scentsational Christmas starring Nazneen Contractor and Mykee Selkin Sparks fly between a beautiful perfumer and a handsome writer as they work together to save her father's candle business. I thought I saw that this one was listed as "new" but maybe not.. still, new to me so might give it a watch. Friday, December 9th "A Recipe for Joy" starring Erin Agostino and Dillon Casey Sparks fly between a food correspondent and a shy chef as they work together to reopen his family's beloved diner. Saturday, December 10th "Kirk Franklin's The Night Before Christmas" starring Naturi Naughten and Luke James, Lorea Turner, and of course Kirk Franklin himself. Caught in a blizzard on Christmas Eve, a woman and her estranged daughter find refuge inside a church with a group of parishioners. The spirit of the holiday season soon takes hold as they reconcile their differences through music, faith and love. I could see me watch this one, for sure. Sunday, December 11th "Single and Ready to Jingle" starring Natasha Wilson and Edward Ruttle A woman's vacation plans go disastrously wrong when she mistakenly winds up in St. John, Alaska, during Christmastime. However, things take a turn for the better when she meets a local man who sweeps her off her feet. A romance set in Alaska! Running out of time - See you in the chat!

Time once again to check out our Christmas Movie options for the upcoming weekend. But first, I must mention my top pics from last week. Great American Christmas won the weekend for me. All three of their new movies were fantastic. 1. "A Christmas.... Present". So nice to see a movie lay off the romance for a minute to focus on a real true meaning of Christmas faith message. I loved every minute of this movie. 2. "I'm Glad It's Christmas". An amazing cast. A wonderful story. Paul Greene, Jessica Lowndes, and Gladys Knight stars in this wonderful movie about a jingle writer and a wannabee Broadway star livening up a community with a Christmas event on Christmas Eve. Worth every second of the watch. To hear Gladys Knight teaching them how to sing "Joy To The World" from the heart alone!! 3. "Christmas at the Drive In". Danica Mckellar and Neal Bledsoe star in this nice little movie about an effort to save a Drive-In, considered to be a Landmark in this small town, from being torn down to make way for a Distribution Center. Sounds cheesy, but it was a really nice movie. "Don't give up before the miracle". 4. "A Royal Corgi Christmas", the only Hallmark I made it to but it was a really cute one. 5. "Steppin' Into The Holiday" with Jana Kramer and Mario Lopez on Lifetime was a pretty good one too. I enjoyed it. Something about it made me think of Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. You know, everything can be solved by a big show in a barn! heh. 6. "The Twelve Days of Christmas Eve", also on Lifetime was an epic adventure of an old Scrooge like character, played by Kelsey Grammar, who has a nearly fatal accident on Christmas Eve, and is somehow thrust into the presence of Santa who gives him twelve chances to re-do Christmas Eve to repair all the broken relationships in his life in order to make the decision about whether he will survive the crash or not. Sort of a Christmas version of Groundhog Day. heh. I liked it. Sounds a little morbid when you put it like I did, but it was actually kind of fun. Now let's move on to this week's fun - Beginning with Great American Christmas! Here is the link to the Great American Family website for your viewing pleasure: Schedule - Great American Family Saturday, December 3rd "Christmas At Candy Cane Lane" starring Andrea Barber and Dan Payne Everyone’s getting ready for Christmas in Icicle Falls, especially on Candy Cane Lane, where holiday decorating is taken very seriously. Tilda Morrison, town cop, is looking forward to celebrating Christmas in her first house…until she discovers that she’s expected to “keep up” with the neighbors, including Ivy Donaldson, the inspiration behind the whole extravaganza. But when a third neighbor’s Christmas display disappears, Tilda and Ivy will need to put aside their past differences and get on the case. It Kimmy... who forever will be known as the ditz from Full House to me. Great American is making me expect high quality from them. Will this one prove to be that? We shall have to see. Sunday, December 4th "B&B Merry" starring Jen Lilly and Jesse Hutch Graham Cooper invites renowned travel blogger Tracey Wise on a Christmas getaway in exchange for her review of his family's small bed & breakfast, Silver Peak. Unfortunately, the humble B&B is facing tough competition from an upscale hotel resort. I really like both of these actors so I'm sure I'll make sure to catch this one. Next, It's "Countdown to Christmas" on Hallmark! Friday, December 2nd A Big Fat Family Christmas starring Shannon Chan Kent and Shannon Kook and... Jack Wagner? (who we all know from WCTH). A photojournalist gets close to a co-worker as she shoots her family's annual holiday party for a cover story. Saturday, December 4th "A Fabled Christmas", starring Brooke D'Orsay and Ryan Peavey Talia and her childhood best friend unexpectedly reunite in a curiously familiar-looking town that's full of Christmas spirit. This one looks interesting. Sunday, December 4th "Undercover Holiday", starring Noemi Gonzalez and Stephen Huszar Returning home for the holidays, pop star Jaylen tells her protective family that Matt is her new beau, when in reality, he's her overzealous security guard. Why does this sound like a downplayed version of that Kevin Costner/Whitney filmed "The Bodyguard"? Next, "The Most Uplifting Christmas Ever" on UpTV - yep Gilmore the Merrier is done (didn't watch much of it at all - not enough time in the day). So, Christmas Movies are BACK! A link to their website's schedule: Watch Uplifting Christmas Movies With Your Family - UPtv! Friday, December 2nd at 7 pm. "Christmas In The Wilds", Kaitlyn Leeb and Victor Zinck, Jr. Buck and Jessica’s merry little Christmas together takes a dangerous turn when their journey through the wild turns into a battle for survival. Well, since i went through that "Heartland" binge, I know who this Actress is! Saturday, December 3rd at 7 pm Christmas On the Slopes starring Soma Chhaya and Oliver Renaud After a disappointing restaurant opening and an embarrassing break-up, a celebrity chef takes her first real Christmas vacation. When she wanders into the kitchen at a luxury resort and is mistaken for the sous chef by the handsome, but grouchy, head chef, their chemistry sparks a holiday romance. But will everything blow up when the head chef learns the truth about her? Sunday, December 4th at 7 pm. "Christmas On The Rocks", starring Khiyla Aynne and Bukola Ayoka A ski-lodge event manager’s task of hosting a corporate Christmas party goes awry when the resort is cut off by a snowstorm and the hard-to-please CEO turns out to be an old flame. The question is... who is it, exactly, that breaks their leg in this movie. Couldn't find any other promo pic for this movie that didn't just have this casted leg. And finally, "It's a Wonderful Lifetime", on Lifetime - which actually started last night; sorry, I missed that. Bet it will play again very soon. Thursday, December 1st "Serving Up The Holidays", starring Britt Irvin and Zach Roerig A top chef falls for a handsome rival while on a holiday cooking getaway to regain her Christmas spirit. Friday, December 2nd "Cloudy With a Chance of Christmas", starring Valerie Ortiz and Brandon Quinn Sparks fly between a TV weatherwoman and a talk show host as they get ready for an annual Christmas Eve festival. Saturday, December 3rd "A New Orleans Noel", starring Keshia Knight Pulliam and Brad James Sparks fly between an architect and her handsome counterpart as she spends Christmas with his family in New Orleans. Sunday, December 4th "Merry Textmas", starring Arriana Ron Pedrique and Rodrigo Massa Sparks fly between an app developer and a handsome graphic designer as he spends Christmas in Mexico with her family. We actually have made a bit of a plan to have an actual movie chat on Sunday night for the CBS movie, at 8 pm... "Fit for Christmas", starring Amanda Kloots and Paul Greene A Christmas-obsessed fitness instructor begins a holiday romance with a mysterious businessman. The new relationship soon complicates his plans to turn a beleaguered community center into a financially profitable resort. Paul Greene is the familiar face here. I'd watch it for him. Also, want to mention the Netflix world, which seems to be giving us a few Christmas movies too. The one I really want to mention is.... "The Noel Diary", which stars.... Wait... who is that? For all of us missing "This Is Us"... this movie gives us Justin Hartley, a.k.a. Kevin Pearson. This one was brought to my attention by Polly a few days ago and it is one I will be making time for. I read that this movie has been so successful, a sequel may be in the works.
Out of time so... hope to see you all in the chat! Starting a day early this week! Because today is Thanksgiving and the movie Premieres on some Networks are starting a day early. So, let's take a look at what we have in store for us this week. But first... let's talk about recommendations from last week. I only made it through five movies and for the most part, enjoyed them all. 1. "Three Wise Men and a Baby" was an adorable movie. Hallmark gave us a wonderful one with this fun little movie about three brothers who must care for a young baby left at a fire station with a note indicating that one might be the baby's father. While in the original movie, they were not brothers but friends and roommates, this movie still went out of its way to bring nostalgia to those of us who loved that 80's flick. Like me! Highly recommend. 2. The UpTV offering of "The Holiday Swap" was a fun little movie. A bit of a mystery to solve. A bit of romance. A surprising twist. Though, admittedly, I figured it out before the secret was revealed but still, great cast. Fun concept. Enjoyable movie, for sure. 3. Hallmark's "When I Think of Christmas", which I put ahead of the Sunday night GAC because of Niall Matter (I'm a longtime fan beginning with that wonderful show "Eureka" where he played that lovable bad boy Zane). The movie was a really good one though and might be one of my real favorites of the season, in which I was enlightened to the fact that favorite Niall is also quite a good singer. Maybe not as good at that "other" Niall, but still pretty darn good in his own right. 4. "Christmas Sweathearts", was a Great American Christmas I missed from the week before, but I caught it for the first time and this one I really liked a lot. As WM pointed out on the RAT page, it was a bit of a familiar theme found in that 90's flick "My Best Friend's Wedding". Without the cutthroat "let's break up the wedding so I can have the groom for myself" theme. 5. "Christmas In Pine Valley". Fun movie. Acting left a bit to be desired for me but I liked the storyline of the movie a lot. Now let's move on to this week's fun - Beginning with Great American Christmas! Here is the link to the Great American Family website for your viewing pleasure: Schedule - Great American Family No Thanksgiving Day premiere for Great American so we begin with: Friday, November 25th, 8 pm "Christmas at the Drive In", starring Danica McKellar and Neal Bledsoe "A property lawyer works to prove that her town’s Drive In Theater, a local institution, is not closed down at the holidays, finding romance with the very person who is trying to sell the property." Anything with Danica is sure to be a good one. Of course, most on this site would know her best as that brooding but beautiful teenage crush of young Kevin Arnold on the original "Wonder Years" TV show. One of those GREAT shows from years ago which ran from 1988 through 1993. Looking forward to this one. Saturday, November 26th "I'm Glad It's Christmas" starring Jessica Lowndes and Paul Greene and Gladys Knight "An aspiring singer is convinced to participate in a local production. Along the way, she finds hope and mentorship in her career. But will her professional success come at the cost of her chance at love?" Will the presence of Gladys Knight in a movie like this convince Windbag Mark it's worth a look? Doubtful. But I'm looking forward to it! Sunday, November 27th "A Christmas..... Present", starring Candace Cameron Bure and Marc Blucas. Real Estate Agent Maggie Larson and her family will be spending Christmas with her recently widowed brother, Paul, and his young daughter at their house. Maggie is determined to give her brother and niece the best Christmas possible and to lift their spirits when they most need it. Though Maggie’s plan is to aid her brother, his faith and parenting style ultimately helps her to understand issues within her own life and a need for closeness in her own family. This movie is Candace Cameron Bure's much anticipated debut on the Great American Christmas channel. I might spend all weekend on GA Christmas. All three of these movies look fantastic to me. But let's see what Hallmark as to offer. Next, It's "Countdown to Christmas" on Hallmark! A link to the Hallmark Website Schedule for your reading pleasure: Countdown to Christmas - Movies, Sweepstakes, Photos (hallmarkchannel.com) Thursday, November 24th 8 pm "My Southern Family Christmas starring When invited to cover a Pere Noel Christmas celebration in Louisiana, Campbell, a journalist meets her estranged father and his new family for the first time. Stars Clare Bowen and Brant Daugherty. A Royal Corgi Christmas - Movie 2, at 8 pm Sparks fly between a crown prince and a canine behavior expert as they work together to train a rambunctious dog before an annual holiday ball. Here you go, Windbag Mark. The Corgi movie that I heard about from YOU first. Saturday, November 26th "A Tale of Two Christmas's", Movie 1 at 6 pm Before Christmas, Emma's story splits into two possibilities. In one she goes home to reconnect with an old friend, in the other she explores a new crush in the city. Starring Katherine Barrell, Chandler Massey, Evan Roderick. "Haul Out The Holly", Movie 2 at 8 pm. When Emily unexpectedly spends the holidays alone at her parents' house, their HOA insists that she participate in its many Christmas festivities. Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky, Melissa Peterman, Ellen Travolta. Lacey Chabert has become the most recognizable face of Hallmark these days. But I know her first as the accomplice to that evil headmistress of a fancy pre-school in the movie Daddy Day Care. Anyone remember that movie? Such a fun one. Sunday, November 27th A Christmas Cookie Catastrophie, Movie 1 at 6 pm Annie faces her first obstacle as CEO of Cooper's Cookies when grandma's secret recipe is stolen. While investigating the theft, she works with local baker Sam to recreate the beloved recipe. Stars Rachel Boston, Victor Webster. "A Holiday Spectacular", Movie 2 at 8 pm. Maggie heads to NYC in 1958 to dance with the Rockettes. Ginna Claire Mason, Derek Klena, Ann-Margret. A period piece... with Ann Margret! Might be fun! Next, "The Most Uplifting Christmas Ever" on UpTV Gilmore the Merrier is still underway so no new movies on UpTV this weekend. But plenty of Gilmore Girls if a person just can't get enough of those Gilmores! But, never fear. They will get back to Christmas Movies once Thanksgiving weekend is over! And finally, "It's a Wonderful Lifetime", on Lifetime Thursday, November 24th at 8 pm "Baking All The Way", starring Cory Lee and Yannick Bisson An accomplished pastry chef finds herself at odds with the owner of a bakery as she tries to finish her Christmas cookbook. Friday, November 25th "Steppin' Into the Holiday" starring Mario Lopez and Jana Kramer Sparks fly between a former Broadway star and the owner of a dance studio as they work together to revive a traditional Christmas Eve show. Saturday, November 26th "The Twelve Days of Christmas Eve" starring Kelsey Grammar and Spencer Grammar Brian Conway is a successful businessman whose relationships with those around him have really suffered. While this Christmas season has been the most successful for his business, he’s divorced, his relationship with his daughter Michelle is strained and he doesn’t have a meaningful connection with his only granddaughter. After Brian gets into a car accident on Christmas Eve, Santa gives him twelve chances to re-do the day and repair the relationships in his life to find the true meaning of Christmas. For Brian, these twelve days are a journey of self-realization about life, love and happiness as he attempts to right the wrongs of his life in pursuit of the Christmas spirit. Starring Kelsey Grammer and Spencer Grammer (2022). Ooh.. Groundhog Day only on Christmas EVE. Sunday, November 27th "A Christmas Spark" starring Jane Seymore and Joe Lando Recently widowed Molly has lost her zest for life and given up on ever finding love again. But when she decides to visit her daughter for Christmas she has no idea what holiday magic is in store for her. A former drama teacher, Molly reluctantly takes on the job of directing the town’s Christmas pageant and soon finds herself falling for her leading man, Hank, the town’s most eligible bachelor. As Molly and the irrepressible Hank fall in love, she rediscovers her inner free spirit and finds a new lease on life. And when the star of the pageant loses her voice moments before the show, it will be up to Molly to step into the spotlight and shine brightly for the first time in her life. Starring Jane Seymour, Toni Braxton, and Joe Lando (2022). Fans of Dr. Quinn will enjoy this; the reunion of Jane Seymore and Joe Lando. All of these Lifetime offerings look pretty great too! What I'm seeing are lots of great options all weekend long. Hope to see you all in the chat! Time for a preview of the weekends "Christmas Movie" fun compliments of "Great American Family", "Hallmark", "UpTV", and "Lifetime". Honestly, it is getting to the point where these movies can be found EVERYWHERE. You don't have to try too hard or look too far to find one. Prime, Pureflix, Netflix, Hulu Live just added all the Hallmark's as did Peacock... seriously. IF it is all Christmas movies, All the time you want.... you are covered just about anywhere you look. As Usual, Let's begin our look at Great American Christmas. Saturday, November 19th Christmas in Pine Valley starring Kristina Cole and Andrew Biernat Natalie is the owner of a successful farm/homegoods store that garners the attention of a major magazine. The magazine sends a reporter named Josh to profile Natalie’s company thinking it’s a family-run business. Little does he know that Natalie’s business is run by her with the help of longtime family friends. Knowing how much the article will help struggling farm, Natalie must convince Josh that her “family” and Christmas traditions are all real. Farm/Homegoods... wonder if that includes a Christmas Tree Farm? Seems like a lot of these kinds of movies DO... heh. Saturday, November 20th My Favorite Christmas Tree starring Emma Johnson and Giles Panton Kyla is a skilled genealogy researcher who’s made a thriving business of putting together family trees. When she comes across new information regarding her mother’s mysterious extended family, she and her sister travel to the charming town of Conifer, hoping to piece together their ancestry. The search leads Kyla to a generations-old Christmas tree farm, its stubborn but handsome owner… and, possibly, love. See, I rest my case... yet another movie about a Christmas Tree Farm. Honestly, I could name at least four without trying too hard. Now, lets move on to "Countdown to Christmas" on Hallmark. I admit, I haven't seen many of these. The Up's and Great American's have had my full attention. Though, I did watch one Lifetime last weekend that I really loved. A link to the Hallmark Website Schedule for your reading pleasure: Countdown to Christmas - Movies, Sweepstakes, Photos (hallmarkchannel.com) Friday, November 18th Inventing the Christmas Prince starring Shelby is about to quit her job as a rocket engineer when her daughter becomes convinced that her Scrooge-like boss, Evan, is the Christmas Prince; a story Shelby invented years ago. Starring Tamera Mowry-Housley and Ronnie Rowe. Saturday, November 19th Three Wise Men and a Baby Three brothers get the surprise of their lives when they are forced to work together and care for a baby over the holidays. Starring Paul Campbell, Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker, and Margaret Colin. Ah... Margaret Colin... Tom Selleck's love interest in that wonderful old movie "Three Men And A Baby". Fun. This makes me want to relive that old 80's flick with Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenburg and Ted Dansen instead of watching this one. Though, I think I liked its sequel - "Three Men and a Little Lady" the best. Sunday, November 20th When I Think of Christmas Sara comes home for Christmas to help her mom move, reconnects with a past love, and makes a surprising discovery for a holiday they will all remember. Starring Shenae Grimes-Beech, Niall Matter and Beth Broderick. Ah... Niall... well. Might have to watch this one. UpTV's Most Uplifting Christmas A link to their website's schedule: Watch Uplifting Christmas Movies With Your Family - UPtv! Friday, November 18th Josh Turner - King Size Manger Showcasing his unmistakable baritone voice, multiplatinum-selling recording artist and Grand Ole Opry star Josh Turner heralds in the holiday season with his unique interpretation of nostalgic classics as well as four original songs! Nope, more a concert than a sappy Christmas movie. A break from their scheduled 24/7 Christmas movie fun. Saturday, November 19th The Holiday Swap When two strangers mistakenly pick up the wrong piece of luggage at the airport, each must use the intriguing contents within to track down the other’s whereabouts in time for Christmas. THIS could be fun! So far, I think the UpTV's have been my favorite. Sunday, November 20th Christmas Lucky Charm Every boyfriend Jessica has had found the love of his life right after he dated her. Just as Jessica leans into her unlucky love life and swears off dating for the Christmas season, a handsome gallery owner moves in across the street. All Thanksgiving Week on UpTV - Gilmore The Merrier Hosted by..... UpTV Takes their Gilmore Girls fandom seriously!.... a weeklong party of nothing but Lorelei and Rory, Luke, Jess, Dean, Emily and Richard Gilmore!.... Taylor and Kurt (or is it Kirk - I'm never sure)... But loads of fun to be had here! "It's a Wonderful Lifetime Christmas", is what they officially call it! Now that I've seen a couple of them, I'm becoming a bit of a fan. Lifetime TV Schedule | Lifetime (mylifetime.com) Friday, November 18th A Country Christmas Harmony Estranged country music duo and former sweethearts run into each other years later and are forced to shelter together during a storm but soon realize they can only survive the holidays with each other's help. Sunday, November 20th A Showstopping Christmas A passionate theater director has to find a way to keep her theater from being sold by making this year's play a huge success with the help of a handsome Hollywood actor.
This sounds like a fun one, too! Hope to see you in the chat!! Believe we will just keep this on the old "RTV" site. Yeah, I know: sappy Christmas movies are in no way reality TV. But there are those on this site that love them. We will start with "Great American Christmas" Here is the link to the Great American Family website for your viewing pleasure: Schedule - Great American Family Saturday, November 12th "A Merry Christmas Wish" starring Jill Wagner and Cameron Mathison An NYC advertising executive returns to her hometown to sell the family farm but instead reconnects with her childhood friend and gets involved with organizing the yearly Winter Wonderland, which takes place on the property. I prefer the original title, "My Best Friend's Wedding". Countdown to Christmas on Hallmark A link to the Hallmark Website Schedule for your reading pleasure: Countdown to Christmas - Movies, Sweepstakes, Photos (hallmarkchannel.com) Friday, November 11th, 8 pm on Hallmark "In Merry Measure" starring Patty Murin and Brendan Penny When pop star Darcy returns home to spend Christmas with her sister and niece, she unexpectedly finds herself coaching the high school choir with her onetime rival Adam, who never made anything of his life and certainly did not become as successful as she did! Saturday, November 12th, 8 pm on Hallmark "The Royal Ninny" starring Rachel Starsken and Dan Jeanotte Working under cover as a nanny, an MI5 agent must resist the charms of Prince Colin while keeping the royal family and their corgis safe during Christmastime. Sunday, November 13th, 8 pm on Hallmark "Christmas at the Golden Dragon" starring Kara Wang and Osric Chau When Romy and Rick's parents surprise them with news that they'll be closing their decades-old Chinese restaurant, the siblings soon find themselves reevaluating their futures, which become even more troubling when they run out of Calgon! UpTV's Most Uplifting Christmas A link to their website's schedule: Watch Uplifting Christmas Movies With Your Family - UPtv! Friday, November 11th, 7 pm on UpTV "The Christmas Retreat" starring (apparently UpTV doesn't hire actors for their Christmas movies!) When Kim’s boyfriend breaks up with her instead of proposing, her mom whisks her away to a Christmas retreat where she meets the owner’s unemployed brother, Mark. But will they be able to see past the mistakes neither one wants to admit to and let the magic of the season connect them? Saturday, November 12th, 7pm on UpTV "A Timy Home Christmas" starring ("Timy"? Obviously a typo here - but is it a "tiny" home, or a home belonging to a guy named "Timmy"?) In order to save her family’s contracting business, Blair reluctantly teams up with her ex-boyfriend and former co-star of a hit home design reality show to build a tiny home for the unsheltered in the community, rekindling old sparks in the process… and just in time for Christmas. Look! A reality TV theme for our reality TV site! Sunday, November 13th, 7 pm on UpTV "The Picture of Christmas" starring (Nope. Still no thespians!) An aspiring storybook illustrator in Manhattan returns home after inheriting her grandmother’s Christmas tree farm. Inspired by the magic of Christmas and the farm’s handsome caretaker, she is reminded of the things she once wanted in life. Lifetime Christmas I'm not as familiar with Lifetime, though I have seen one or two of their Christmas movies and enjoyed them. So we'll include their Christmas season product here. Found a link to the Lifetime schedule: Lifetime TV Schedule | Lifetime (mylifetime.com) Oops... They had a new one on Thursday... Sunday, November 13th at 8 pm on Lifetime "Six Degrees of Santa" starring Kathryn Davis and Steve Lund Believing she may be his soul mate, a leading internet entrepreneur searches for the mystery woman whose Christmas gift wound up in his hands.
If a movie has the words "Six Degrees" in the title, it MUST have Kevin Bacon, at least in a small cameo! Now, I admit - last weekend it was all "Great American" and "Up" for me. Let me just put in a big plug for the UpTV movies. The two I watched last weekend were very good. Looking forward to seeing what's in store for us this time! Hope to see you in the chat!! Doing this a bit differently this week. Instead of separate blogs; there will be one page for all things Christmas movies. Also, will be duplicating this on the RTV site. It's a contest to see which site gets the most traffic. The winner will get the Christmas movie blog permanently. See, this week I had this page all set up here but most of the Christmas movie chatting, what little there was, happened on the RTV site. Perhaps the RTV site is a better place for it to live. This will be the one and only time I do this on both sites. Will decide after this weekend Let's start with Great American Family Here is the link to the Great American Family website for your viewing pleasure: Schedule - Great American Family Our focus will be on the Original Movie Premieres.... Saturday, November 5th, 8 pm on Great American Family "A Royal Christmas On Ice", starring Anne Marie Dobbins and Johnathan Stoddard Looking to escape his royal life, a dashing prince comes to the United States to start a business in a small town in upstate New York and winds up falling for a former Olympic ice skater. Friday, November 4th, 7 pm on UpTV "Unperfect Christmas Wish" starring Alys Crocker and David Pinard Madison O’Hara performs as a singing elf for Christmas parties with her best friend Cooper, but her real dream is to be a singer-songwriter and to find the perfect man. Her mission is to secure him as a client. When his own motivations are revealed, they both realize, it just might be love. Lifetime Christmas I'm not as familiar with Lifetime.. though I have seen one or two of the Christmas movies and enjoyed them so we will include their Christmas Season fun here. Found a link to the Lifetime Schedule. Lifetime TV Schedule | Lifetime (mylifetime.com) Saturday, November 5th at 8 pm on Lifetime "Merry Swissmas" starring Jodie Sweetin and Tim Rozon While spending Christmastime with her mother in Switzerland, an architect meets a single father who shows her how to open herself up to love and forgiveness during the holiday season. Sunday, 8 pm on Lifetime "Well Suited For Christmas" starring Mercedes de le Zerda and Franco Lo Presti Sparks fly between a fashion designer and one of the city's most eligible bachelors as she creates a tuxedo for him for a Christmas gala. So many Christmas movies, so little time. OF course, most of these networks run these Christmas movies on a 24/7 loop throughout the season and even for a week or so after. Not possible to catch them all but if you catch one you enjoy and want a place to tell us all about it, here is a place to do it!
For all of you RTV folks, I still plan to do our traditional Holiday page the week before Christmas for music and favorite TV/Movie clip Christmas fun. Stay tuned for that during the final week leading up to Christmas. Happy Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks to our US friends and a very Merry Christmas season to us all. The big day was actually Friday (sorry we missed it!) but it's still worth celebrating! Birthdays always last at least a week, if not a month, anyway, right? But it's the price I pay for getting the date wrong for an especially important date of one of our dearest friends and - oh, yes! - the creator of this here channel. I am grateful she is a forgiving woman and is not disappointed in me (but will take the opportunity to mock me mercilessly!) But let us not forget that this is a moment of celebration for us to wish our founder a very happy birthday, regardless of which day this week it happens to fall on! As whimsicali said above, an occasion like this does indeed deserve a week-long celebration! That's right! Probably not... :-}} Happy Birthday! Welcome to the 2022 Academy Awards! This year, for a change, it's in person! There are actual people in the building handing out and receiving awards! And not wearing masks!
Tonight's awards are hosted by not one, not two, but THREE people: Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, Regina Hall. Two comedians and an actor (both dramatic and comedy). That sounds like it could be a fun mix. For more info on who's been nominated in each category, here's the link to the official site: https://www.oscars.org/oscars/ceremonies/2022 I probably won't be watching but I'm sure WindbagMark will be the perfect host. Remember to ask him for only the best champagne to toast the winners! Hee hee!
