Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! First.... A Blessed and Very Happy Easter Sunday to you all!! Below is my favorite - maybe of all time - worship song. There is a backdrop of the History channel's bible mini-series done by Worship leader Leeland. Just thought it a fitting clip on this Easter Sunday morning for the people on this channel who may have seen the series. Survivor fans: this was a Mark Burnett project (yes, he does more than reality TV). Actually, those clips of Jesus are from the movie "Son of God", I think. Wait, just looked it up; the same actor played Jesus in both the Bible series AND the movie "Son of God". Had no idea! But be careful about "typecasting", sir! I'm sure he would have used "The Chosen" as his backdrop but that show has its own fantastic soundtrack, you know. :-}} Again, Happy Easter and blessings to you all the beautiful Easter morning! Now I suppose it's time to wish you all a ... like normal... and then get on with talking about our TV week. Sunday, April 17th Being Easter Sunday and all, I don't really see anything I care to chat. That's because I will be watching the final two episodes of "The Chosen", completing their Easter global live stream event that started last Sunday. A marvelous, quite inspirational way to celebrate the Easter season this past week. Also, "American Idol" continues. Oh, so far behind. And so many other missed episodes of last week shows to catch up on. So any TV I do tonight and Monday should be playing catch up. Of particular note though: "American Idol" is a three hour episode - so none of "The Rookie" tonight. "Doctor Who", Season 13 continues at 8 pm on BBC America Technically, you could watch it at 2:00 pm but I'll be having the family Easter meal at that time. So nope, no can do. If anyone wishes to have a page set up, let me know. I'll have to watch later you probably know the finale of "The Chosen" will get in the way for me. Monday, April 18th I will be taking a day off today! Yes, I have to return daughter to school. But mostly - I need a day off and I will enjoy it very much! Not seeing anything for us to live chat this Monday. Tuesday, April 19th "This Is Us: Day of the Wedding" Season 6 Episode 13, 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: The Pearsons gather for Kate's wedding. Short and to the point: just the way we like it! Heh (unless you are WM, who likes things more "windbaggy" than that). I will practice self-restraint and leave it just as is - okay, can I quickly add that I'll bet "I Get Knocked Down But I Get Up Again (Tubthumping)" is NOT the first dance at their wedding. It will be something that always reminded Kate of her father Jack. Wednesday, April 20th "Survivor Season 42: You Better Be Wearing A Seat Belt (It's Gonna Be a Bumpy Night)", Episode 8, 8 pm on CBS Episode synopsis reads like this: Castaways are officially merged into one tribe; individual immunity is on the line; castaways try to negotiate with Jeff to get four days' worth of rice for their tribe. Still hate the dumb hourglass twist - but now that it's over with, let's hope the rest of the season is better. Go Jonathan! In some ways - the physical challenge side - he is simply in a different league than in the entire cast (But we must emphasize: the PHYSICAL side. Traditionally, post merge most (some seasons, all) challenges become "start with physical, end with a puzzle". Jonathan admitted on episode one he's weak on puzzles. Plus endurance games are much harder on huge guys than on slim players. And those "balance on a tiny block" contests (and there is always at least one, sometimes more) will be torture for him. How vulnerable Jonathan will be at each challenge will be determined by what the game is). Even socially, Jonathan is better than most. Strategically? Not sure. But I fear he will need to win every single immunity challenge to win the game because if he loses one, I can't see them letting him stay in the game (although they did last week). There are three idols in play, and none belong to him. All I can say is... go Jonathan. If he DOES survivor to the end without winning all immunities or finding some advantage to help get him there, we must then have to reassess those "strategic" skills. "Beyond the Edge: It's YOUR Super Bowl", Season 1 Episode 6, 9 pm on CBS Episode synopsis reads like this: "The seven remaining celebrities come together to celebrate coach Mike Singletary's birthday; teams must work together to trek one mile through a rugged swamp and rappel down a six-story cliff; one celebrity seeks medical attention." WM? I've lost track of this one. I've given up too. I think Colton started in first place last week? But I have no idea what changed after the episode. Completely lost interest. I choose instead to watch this... "Domino Masters: Circus Night", 9 pm on Fox This has been quite a fun little show (though I'm a week behind and will catch up before this episode). It also follows "The Masked Singer" (which I am also a week behind on now). Thursday, April 21st "Masterchef Junior Edition: Where's Walnuts", Season 19 Episode 5, 8 pm on Fox Episode synopsis reads like this: After facing a nutty mystery box challenge, 11 junior chefs compete in a fiery elimination challenge; past winner Che Spiotta. Week behind on this on too, but will for sure catch up. "Ghosts: Farnsi and B", Season 1 Finale, 9:00 pm Episode synopsis reads like this: As Sam and Jay await the arrival of their first official bed-and-breakfast guests, they face obstacles triggered by a Norse curse placed upon them by Thorfinn; Isaac takes a huge, centuries-in-the-making step in his personal life. Didn't realize we were at the season finale already! Must catch up to be ready for Thursday night's last episode! Lots of catching up to do. Maybe I'll need to take off more than just Monday this week! Friday, April 22nd So Ali - shall we continue with the "Raising Dion" watch? Let me know if you want to. I'm pretty sure I'll be around this coming Friday.
These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments.
