Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Keeping it short today... have the early, early shift... so won't have a lot of time to tweak the page in the morning. Will leave it up to WM..... Sunday, November 1st Wide open....maybe catch up on some shows you missed last week because the network schedules everything at the same time! Monday, November 2nd Things are looking pretty normal on Monday... "The Voice: Blind Auditions Continue" Season 19 Week 3, 8 pm on NBC So far we have had quite a few good ones. Season is off to a good start!! Only one episode this week though... "Dancing With The Stars" Episode 8, 8 pm on ABC Still hate Tyra as the hostess but love the dancing. "Private Eyes" Do any of you Americans have access to "Private Eyes", a comedy with Jason Priestly about two private eyes who have reluctantly become partners? There are laughs, there is action, and of course much will-they-or-won't-they sexual tension - and because it's a Canadian series, done on an incredibly cheap budget. Browncoatali and I love it, and we'll be live chatting for the season four (FOUR!) premiere. Anyone with access is welcome to join us - including newcomers! We love answeing any questions you might have! "The Good Doctor: Frontline" Part 1, 10 pm on ABC ePremiere Episode synopsis reads like this: "Dr. Murphy treats a patient who has an illness that is not only unpredictable in nature but also unlike anything he or the team have seen before; Dr. Claire Brown continues to work through her grief, still reeling from Dr. Neil Melendez's death." I missed the entire third season of this show. One day I might catch up. Does anyone watch? Tuesday, November 3rd We all know it's Election night, so all shows are cancelled for results coverage. Like the rest of you, I will be taking the night off from this site and will be spending the evening elsewhere. Wednesday, November 4th "The Amazing Race: Ole `Ole`" Season 32 Episode 4, 8 pm on CBS AND... "The Amazing Race: You Don't Strike Me As An Renaissance Man" Season 32 Episode 5, 9 pm on CBS That's right! Back-to-back episodes tonight. In the first, we will see the teams doing a Paraguayan Bottle Dance. In the second, we will see some carnival games in Paris. Sorry for the lack of good recaps. I just can't seem to make time for them. Maybe next week. Good news! We've come up with easy-to-type nicknames for all eight remaining teams! "The Masked Singer: Funny You Should Mask" Group C Playoffs. Season 4, Episode 6, 8 pm on FOX AND... "I Can See Your Voice", Season 1 Episode 5, 9 pm on Fox The delayed chat for these two shows will more than likely be on Friday, due to Bachelorette being moved to Thursday this week... This weeks guest panelists are Bob Saget and Finesse Mitchell, along with our two regulars Cheryl Hines and Adrienne Houghton; a contestant performs with Donny Osmond. "American Ninja Warrior: Finale" Season 12 Episode 8, 9 pm on NBC The finale episode... so one less thing for next week. I did the same thing I always do with this show: I enjoy it when I watch it, but when other things come around, it ends up taking the back seat or is forgotten altogether. Sorry Ali. Thursday, November 5th "The Bachelorette: Claire" Season 16 Episode 4, 8 pm on ABC The show has moved to Thursday this week... WM? Election results scheduling: "This Is Us" gets cancelled; "The Bachelorette" just gets postponed. The previews hinted that this is the week Claire leaves and Tayshia takes over as the new Bachelorette - red herring, or is this the actual week? "Star Trek Discovery: Lethe" Season 1 Episode 6 ....., 10 pm on CBS Episode synopsis reads like this: "The U.S.S. Discovery crew is intrigued by new addition, Lt. Ash Tyler; Sarek seeks Burnham's help rekindling memories from her past; Adm. Cornwell questions Lorca's tactics." I'll try hard to remember to put up a page. heh. Friday, November 6th We will do the mashup "The Masked Singer" and "I Can See Your Voice" delayed chat, starting as close to 8 pm as we can.
Then I'll be busy a lot over the weekend so may not be around much: daughter's birthday, lots of stuff to do... you know how it is. Again, stay tuned for some Survivor fun.... still thinking about it.. heh. These are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments.

Hello RTV people, If you are all caught up on anything you care about from last night's TV, you are safe to enter. Truth be told, this page has become a pretty fun one, full of randomness. No one here will post anything that hasn't already aired on TV. You only need to worry if you missed something from last night that you don't want spoiled! So if you are NOT caught up on LAST NIGHT'S TV..... yada, yada, yada Though, must admit I'm not a big fan.... today is the day.... Happy Halloween Also, for those who live where it counts.... Don't forget today marks... Daylight Savings Time Have a great day!

Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good morning! Hope you all are well this fine... and very rainy ... Sunday. At least it's very rainy where I am. This is the kind of day that I'd really enjoy getting to stay at home, sleep in, take a leisurely "morning coffee moment" and a late breakfast, followed by a day of rest, reading, and maybe a bit of TV. But alas - I must go to work. This cat ALMOST looks as annoyed as I feel. Anyway, moving on to our TV week: Sunday, October 25th Still.... wide open. Seriously, ALL the good TV is on Tuesday and Wednesday. They couldn't fine ONE thing that could go on Sunday? Sheesh! Monday, October 26th "Big Brother" Season 22 Episode 36, 8 pm on CBS WM? The final HOH comp is split into two parts: the winner of the first comp gets an automatic "bye" into the final comp, while the losing two compete to make to the finals. We will know who the last two standing are by the end of this episode. "The Voice: Blind Auditions Continue" Season 19 Week 2, 8 pm on NBC Another season of "The Voice" is off and running. The premiere was pretty good; looking forward to the rest. Since there are two episodes a week, I think I'll just do one page to be used for both. I'm pretty sure we won't be live chatting much. "Dancing With The Stars" Episode 7, 8 pm on ABC Still following this but think I'll not bother with chat pages. Have I mentioned how much I hate the loss of Tom and Erin and how much I dislike our new Hostess Tyra? No? Oh, only about 800 times. Still, that's not the fault of the rest of the cast. The dancing has been very good, so I'll stick it out. Tuesday, October 27th "The Bachelorette: Claire" Season 16 Episode 3, 8 pm on ABC WM? The previews hint that this is the week Claire defies the standard Bachelorette procedures and leaves the show with love-of-her-life Dale. On episode THREE? I'm calling red herring. I think the producers will want to milk this for all the drama they can before they give up on their first "mature" lead and bring on Tayshia. Though, not sure what you guys will do because.... "This Is Us: Forty" Parts One and Two, Season 5 Two Hour Premiere, 8 pm on NBC Premiere synopsis reads like this: "In the two-hour premiere, the Pearsons gather to celebrate their 40th birthday while musing about the day they were born." That's right! A birthday celebration for the Big Three often (always?) kicks off the season. I recall some parts of that finale last season left me a little bit cold; I hope I like this season. I will stick it out for Rebecca. It was heart-wrenching, watching this beloved character slipping into the confusion that is Alzheimers. It sure won't help that her two beloved sons are at each others throats, will it? Have you all seen the season five trailer? There will be a live chat. And like most of our TIU chats, it will probably have limited comments since the intensity of the show simply doesn't allow for much talking. "The Voice: Blind Auditions Continue" Season 19 Episode 2, 8 pm on NBC Will do one page for the week. I'm sure I will delay watching this episode anyway, since THIS IS US. "NEXT: File #3" Season 1 Episode 3, 9 pm on Fox Episode synopsis reads like this: "Shea and LeBlanc head to Dartmouth to investigate NEXT's whereabouts, which are potentially linked to Biomotion Labs; Shea, Ethan and Ty take extra precautions to disconnect from electronics and the internet." Because Tuesday doesn't have enough happening.... why not this too? Pretty good show, but since it's on opposite "This Is Us", will we still be live chatting? I think maybe we should start using the next day's Daily Chat Page instead. After all, that was what it was designed to be. That means, take that "Make sure you've caught up on whatever it is you care the most about last night's TV before you visit the page" thing seriously, kay? Wednesday, October 28th Wednesday is complicated too..... "The Amazing Race: We're Making Big Moves" Season 32 Episode 3, 8 pm on CBS Episode synopsis: "Teams are in Manaus, Brazil, where they have big decisions to make when they encounter the first U-turn of the race." Really a shame that EW is not recapping. I know I won't feel up to it, as Thursday morning is a very early morning for me this week. If WM feels like adding a recap to the Live Chat heading, that would be okay. OR, is there is another recap source we can find if we look hard enough? Stupid EW. Is Jodi Walker still there? I'm sure she would welcome a chance to continue recapping! **Note the change to 8 pm "Big Brother" Season 22 Episode 33, 9 to 11 pm on CBS Close to the end? WM? Is this the Finale? Yep, Big Brother season twenty-two comes to an end in tonight's two-hour episode. Right now, it's looking like Cody's game to lose, but as always, it will all depend on how Tuesday's final HOH goes. If Cody doesn't win (highly unlikely, yes I know), could a light bulb (finally) go off in the heads of one of second-tier players Nicole and Enzo - might one of them decide NOT to hand him the game and battle each other for victory instead? An unsatisfying conclusion for sure - but also the ONLY genuine suspense there has been this season since about, oh, episode two or three? "The Masked Singer: Masked But Not Least" Season 4, Episode 5 8 pm on FOX Episode synopsis: The final group of celebrity contestants take the stage for their first performances of Season 4. This will need to be a delayed watch.. probably on Thursday? What do you think guys? "I Can See Your Voice", Season 1 Episode 4, 9 pm on Fox Guest panelists Yvette Nicole Brown and Bob Saget; the chosen contestant performs with Pat Monahan (Oooh.. is that the TRAIN guy? The one who did that lovely duet with PINK?). I believe it is! So again, it will be a "delayed chat". I'll just do one mashup page for both shows and we will delay chat on Thursday as close to 8 pm as we can. Or Friday. Either night would be okay with me. "American Ninja Warrior: Finals 1" Season 12 Episode 7, 9 pm on NBC When did Wednesday become such a busy night? I've completely lost track but I know Ali is watching. How's it going, Ali? Thursday, October 29th Think we can do the TMS and ICSYV mash up dalayed watch tonight at 8 pm ish? (Or Friday if you would all prefer). Followed by.... "Star Trek Discovery: Choose Your Plan" Season 1 Episode 5 ....., 10 pm on CBS Episode synopsis reads like this: "While on a mission, Lorca unexpectedly finds himself in the company of Starfleet Lieutenant Ash Tyler and notorious intergalactic criminal, Harry Mudd; Burnham voices her concerns about the repercussions of the spore drive jumps on Ripper." "Spore drive jumps" crisis? Oh no! (I have no idea what that means. None at all) Friday, October 30th Wide open.... unless we decide to do the TMS and ICSYV thing on Friday instead. Saturday, October 31st Stay tuned for the Survivor fun.... still thinking about it.. heh.

Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good morning and welcome to our Sunday RAT page. This is the point at which I normally try to come up with something clever to talk about. Sometimes I'm good at it; sometimes I'm not. We are having a beautiful fall Sunday, weather-wise. Woke up to sunshine and chilly temps. Great day to take a walk, and luckily I'm off today. Will work in Church, and later find some time to enjoy this gorgeous weather. Hope you all have a happy, relaxing Sunday. Now, lets get to our TV week: Sunday, October 18th Wide open... or is anyone in for checking out a revival of yet another game show? "Supermarket Sweep", 8 pm on ABC I was sort of interested... but the description doesn't really sound much like the format I remember from the show I used to like. Unless anyone expresses interest, I might opt out. Prime time is now being over run with game shows that used to be reserved for daytime TV. Hollywood proving yet again it is out of original ideas, I guess. We COULD visit BBC America for a showing of... "The Hobbit, An Unexpected Journey", 9 pm on BBC America For fans of J.R.R. Tolkien writings. This, of course, is the prequel to the blockbuster movies based on The Lord of The Rings. "My Precious..." I have seen this first movie but not the rest of the series. This might get my attention tonight, actually. I suppose I COULD check out "Supermarket Sweep" at 8 pm THEN switch to this. ______________ Sidenote: Or I could take the night off TV and read the book I started the other day. It captured my attention fast and I'm looking for a good chance to continue. It's "The Heaven Trilogy" written by Ted Dekker (one of my all time favorite authors) in case you were interested. I've had this book at my disposal for a while, but hadn't picked it up yet. Finally got around to it and now I'm hooked. So if I'm missing for a while.... Still wish I could initiate a book club. Do people read anymore? Honestly, I have a virtual library on my Kindle and a stack of real books on a bookshelf waiting for my attention. I should turn off the TV more than I do. At one time, I was such an avid reader I would go through several books a week. Not sure when that changed (the invention of the internet?). Well, not true - I DO know. It was having three kids that took every second of my attention, making it hard to focus on a book. Sorry for the bunny trail. Moving on to.... Monday, October 19th "Big Brother" Season 22 Episode 32, 8 pm on CBS WM? Season wrapping up soon! Tonight we find out who becomes the new HOH after a challenge based on the game of chess, requiring brain work, strategy and planning for three or more steps in advance. Provide your own "Enzo" joke in the comments section.. "Dancing With The Stars" Episode 6, 8 pm on ABC Won't do a live chat page because I know nobody cares but me )and maybe Polly Pocquet). But despite horrible host Tyra (replace her with Joel McHale!), I have been enjoying this season more than I thought I would. Will continue, but my priority tonight may be.... "The Voice: Blind Auditions" Season 19 Premiere, 8 pm on NBC So sad Nick Jonas is not coaching again - and so sad we get Gwen again. Just not a fan of her as a coach. Really wish the "Return of Adam" rumour turns out to be true. But we must take it as they give it to us. With BB still running interference, not sure who will play along. But I will do a live chat for this first episode just to see. "The Weakest Link" Season 1 Episode 5, 10 pm on NBC Has the show permanently moved to Monday at 10 pm? EJetson and I have been the only two chatting. Does this move to 10 pm change our desire to continue? I guess we will see. Since it is airing right after "The Voice", I will probably go ahead and watch as it airs. Let me know, EJ. Tuesday, October 20th "The Bachelorette: Claire" Season 16 Episode 2, 8 pm on ABC Sorry Bachelorette fans that I skipped listing the show's premiere on the RAT page last week. Totally missed it - but in my own defense, it moved to Tuesday (not on the usual Monday). And it started in the fall instead of the normal summer (damn you, corona virus!) And it's just not my thing, so I was simply not paying attention to what was happening with this season that SHOULD have started early summer (actually, only Bachelor "spin-off" shows - "Bachelor in Paradise", the original "Bachelor Pad" - air in the summer. There is always a "Bachelor" or "Ette", depending on the rotation, beginning in the fall). WM or Browncoatali? Care to share your thoughts on the premiere? (Most of us agree it was a great start: a solid cast with strong hopefuls and minimal douchecanoes right now - and Claire looks like she'd be a strong, take-no-crap Bachelorette. Too bad we know she is going to fall in love too soon and leave ahead of schedule!) "The Voice, Season 19 Episode 2, Blind Auditions Part 2, 8 pm on NBC I'm sure I'll spend my time here and will use the same chat page started on Monday. I see no reason to make a new page. Unless anyone has any objection.... Also, there's that little thing called "The World Series". I won't be watching but I understand some will never miss, this despite the shortened season. Batter up!!!! We will have to wait to find out what will happen "next" on... "NEXT: File #1" Season 1 Episode ....., 9 pm on Fox Great little show about an AI threatening to take over the world. Sadly, no new episode this week: "World Series" interference. Oh well. Wednesday, October 21st "Big Brother" Season 22 Episode 33, 8 pm on CBS WM? At the end of the season, the "Power of Veto" becomes more important than the HOH, because it is the holder of this power who determines which two players go on the block and then decides which one to vote out. Give this one your all, people! "The Amazing Race: Red Lipstick Is Not My Color" Season 32 Episode 2, 9 pm on CBS After a strong premiere, here comes episode two which will, according to Zap2it, feature the season's first "Yield". Show had an overall likable cast (at least so far) but a controversial ending: the leg was called a continuation leg (meaning the players continued racing after they were dragged to the mat by baby goats) ... but the last team to arrive WAS eliminated? WTH? I didn't approve of this at all. Sorry Phil. Just seemed unfair to me. But still, looking forward to episode two. The team with their race cut (unfairly) short was best friends, Nathan and Cody. Which of the cast do we think said the episode title about red lipstick (should be Dani from "Big Brother", but I doubt it)? Hmm. Sadly, no one did a premier recap on EW. Not Jodi Walker, who normally does them. Not Dalton Ross, who did the preview article for the season and is probably suffering extreme "recap" withdrawal pains, having no "Survivor" ones to write for the first time in TWENTY years! I did find a recap on "Reality Blurred".... here is a link. https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2020/10/amazing-race-season-32-episode-1-one-million-miles-recap/#comments I didn't do a recap myself. Just didn't feel I had the time last week. But I suppose I could dust off my recapping skills and take to recapping this show myself, if you all would like. Unless WM would like to do it; let me know WM. "The Masked Singer" Season 4, Episode ......, 8 pm on FOX "I Can See Your Voice", Season 1 Episode ....., 9 pm on Fox Both shows are cancelled this week due to "World Series" interference. Won't require a "delayed chat" this week. Awwwwww...... If anyone missed the last TMS and has a burning desire to know just who that was in the Baby Alien costume: it was, once again, someone I would never have guessed in a zillion years. It was none other than football player Mark Sanchez of New York Jets fame. Never heard of him. Cute, original costume though - and he wasn't a bad singer. As for "I Can See Your Voice", it is a lot more challenging than you might think. I'm terrible at it but finding it fun to try. Browncoatali has proven to be the best guesser of our small group watching. Let me explain the premise: it's a "guessing" game where you must determine whether the player is a genuinely talented vocalist - without actually hearing them sing a note. They come out dressed as whatever character they are in real life: waiter, biker, yoga expert, grocery store worker, the original "Hooters" girl (Oops! Thinking about "To Tell the Truth!") etc. You see them "lip sync" to a song. If they are the real deal they will lip sync to their own voice: a bad singer will lip sync to a pre-taped good singer. The contestant's goal is to find the "bad" singer each round; a correct guess earns him / her (hey, wait a minute - all the contestants so far have been women, haven't they?) a $10,000 bank. So there is potential to bank $50,000 by the final round (each show features six singers). When it gets down to the last one, the contestant has a choice: choose correctly and win a $100,000 bonus; choose wrong and lose all, even the banked money. Go home with nothing. Not feeling confident? Stick with whatever banked money you have and pass on the six-figure bonus. The great reveal at the end is whether the last player standing is talented or not. Best of all, that singer duets with the night's guest judge, a professional vocalist of great skill. We've seen Nick Lachey sing with a good one; we've seen Jordan Sparks sing (hilariously) with a bad one. This week, it was Nicole Scherzinger of "The Masked Singer" who had to duet with a very bad singer. Detailed description, but wanted to give a clear picture for those who have never checked it out. I love guessing games. This one is pretty challenging. Moving on.... "American Ninja Warrior: Semi-Finals 2" Season 12 Episode 6, 9 pm on NBC And because Wednesday doesn't already have far too many things happening, this show has moved to 9 pm on this night. Big sigh. I've sort of lost track of it anyway. Oh well.... Thursday, October 22nd "Big Brother, Season 22, Episode 34: Eviction Night", 8 pm on CBS WM? (Second last eviction night of the season! This will take us down to the final three, and the season will end one week from tonight! It's looking like Cody's to lose, if anyone cares....) "Star Trek Discovery" Season 1 Episode ....., 10 pm on CBS No new episode this week for this show too due to the final presidential debate. Maybe next week... "Big Brother, Season 22, Episode 35", 8 pm on CBS No idea what this Friday episode is.... WM? (Almost certainly a "clip" show. Every season features on Friday night show; every season it's an hour of crap we have no need to see again) And The World Series continues.... Any future re-watches are on hold until further notice. You guys let me know when you are ready. With the lack of a Survivor season (which is just so wrong!) I really would like to find some Survivor activity this Fall. If anyone is interested in that, let me know. We will pick someone's chosen season, select a start date and go from there. If any new news comes out about the future of the show, I'll post it as soon as I see it, probably on the Daily Page.
**Well, just took the time to investigate and found a bit of info. Filming for season 41 will not take place till spring 2021 - which means no "Survivor" at all this autumn or spring. Awwww! Of course, we all know why: covid 19. The issue is, even though the cast has been chosen for season 41, the borders of Fiji are closed so they cannot travel there until it all re-opens. I fear the soonest we can expect a new season will be fall of 2021. Unless they choose to air it in the summer. Wouldn't that be nice? So let's do some Survivor fun of our own. We will give it a couple of weeks, but soon I'll come up with some suggestions for Survivor Fun: a rewatch of some season. A "Survivor Trivia" fun page. An introduction to International Survivor seasons for those who have never taken the dive (#NeverForgetJosee!). The possibilities are endless. These are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. |
