Hello RTV people, If you are all caught up on anything you care about from last night's TV, you are safe to enter. Truth be told, this page has become a pretty fun one, full of randomness. No one here will post anything that hasn't already aired on TV. You only need to worry if you missed something from last night that you don't want spoiled! So, if you are NOT caught up on LAST NIGHT'S TV..... yada, yada, yada Have a great day!

Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And of course, me, Catlover04! Good morning RTV people, Sorry to be running so late this morning, but thankfully most of this was assembled last night. So even though I was dragging my feet a bit this morning, it won't take very long to finish. Did we all breathe a sigh of relief at finally having a few good opportunities to chat this week? It was such a long, dry summer as far as TV chats go, and I finally figured out why it seemed so to me: the lack of any good International Survivors. I had gotten so used to having a good season of Australian Survivor taking up a lot of time during the week - and this year, they didn't give us one during the summer. The South African one fell flat when the easy spreadsheet for links went missing, then for some reason, I wasn't really motivated to watch it. Didn't seem like anyone else was either. Wonder why? Oh well, no time to bother with it all now. We have a lot of interesting new shows to chat about for a while. So let's get looking at our TV week, shall we? Sunday, September 25th "Big Brother: Two Hour Finale" Season 24, Episode 34, 8:00 pm on CBS The winner will be declared tonight! And it's a final three NOBODY would have predicted at the season's start: immediate house pariah Taylor, targeted by racism and petty envy, looked unlikely to survive one or two evictions; Turner, the "fun-loving hippie" archetype who is kept around for sheer likability but quickly dismissed when the game starts to get serious; and Monte (the less said about, the better). And believe it or not, someone in this trio is about to become the season twenty-four champion! Also likely, the winner of America's Favourite Player (although an online racist cult is trying to rig the contest for one of their own). Most important question: will Lays-potato-chip-lover Taylor land a million dollar advertising campaign with this company and single-handedly double their sales. "Chesapeake Shores: It's Not For Me To Say", Season 6 Episode 7, 8 pm on Hallmark Kevin learns something new while David questions what he thought was true; Bree finds out that she and Luke share a birthday; Kevin discovers the gender of the baby; David confronts his father. I'm a puzzle: why do I feel the need to post this when I KNOW no one care? But here it is. If you have access to Hallmark and enjoy sappy romance stories done well, you should check this show out. Admittedly, when Jesse Metcalf left the show, it did disappoint me. But their solution to his exit has been entertaining so the series wasn't ruined permanently. Great show that's in its final season. "The Rookie: Double Down", Season 5 Premiere, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: Officer John Nolan is once again face to face with serial killer Rosalind; officers Bradford and Chen work under cover with Detective Lopez and the Las Vegas Police Department to arrest leaders of a major criminal enterprise. I can't recall the cliffhanger from last season. WM? Do you? (Nope!) Perhaps I shall look it up today and watch the final episode of last year before tonight's kick-off of season five. Monday, September 26th "The Voice: Blind Auditions" Season 22, Episode 3, 8 to 10 pm on NBC The blind auditions continue, and the show is truly off to a great start. As was the case last year, no one showed up for the chat, so I won't bother with a page unless someone tells me they want one. Camilla Cabello is the new judge and I suppose I should have recognized her: Fifth Harmony. Daughters liked them at one time. Plus, she was John's mentor last year. After two nights of auditions, I don't think I've heard a bad one yet. You've also got Blake running around set with a goat (yes, a goat!) who has a "GOAT" sign hanging around its neck - Blake making a statement about how he really feels about himself being the "Greatest Of All Time". Ha! See what you're missing! "Quantum Leap: Atlantis", Season 1 Episode 2, 10 pm on NBC Ben finds himself headed into orbit aboard the space shuttle Atlantis in 1995; Addison confides to Ian about a discovery and finds herself at odds with Magic and Jenn. I think those of us who chatted through this agreed it was worth the watch. We'll be continuing for now. Sort of making me want to watch a few episodes of the original show (I do believe I have access somewhere). "Dancing With the Stars", Season 31 Episode 2 on Disney Plus, still live at 8 pm. Curious if anyone watched this. I watched only the Trevor Donovan performance on YouTube (cute but awkward - he's obviously not had a lot of dance experience) but not the whole thing. Still not sure if the show would have been cancelled if it didn't move to Disney Plus, or if ABC just wanted to free up the time slot for Monday Night football? Or was there was more to it than that? I did read comments from a lot of angry fans. One article said since a large demographic of DWTS fans are of the older generation (old people don't want to pay subscription fees and have no idea how to use streaming apps), ABC has just made a large chunk of their fan base mad (I laugh because I am an older person who has no problem at all understanding how to use streaming apps and I don't seem to mind paying subscriptions fees - obviously since I pay for so many). Last time I'll mention it, but I was just curious if anyone checked it out. Tuesday, September 27th "Bachelor In Paradise" Premiere, Season 8 Episode 1, 8 pm on ABC Already? Did we just finish one of these last week? (Yep!) Why didn't they put DWTS on Tuesday and save this for summer where it usually is. Sheesh. Could have kept that demographic of older people who refuse to pay subscription service fees and have no idea how to use a streaming apps happy #GeezerHumour. ABC is stupid. I've been saying that for years. WM? (I never watch "Bachelor in Paradise"; when the first season ends I desperately need a break and sit this out. The other two male posters are of similar mind) "The Voice Premiere Week" Blind auditions continue, Episode 4, 8pm NBC" Just an hour tonight, followed by.... "La Brea: The Next Day", Season 2 Episode 1, 9 pm on NBC Desperate to reunite with her son, Eve follows a lead that brings her face to face with a ruthless prehistoric group; Gavin, Izzy and Ella question whether they're fit to survive in 10,000 B.C.; Josh and Riley wake up in an unfamiliar time. I'm going to have to re-watch the last couple of episodes from the first season. Hopefully I can do some of that before this episode airs. Looking forward to the start to season two. Chuckling now to recall that after the first episode, every single one of us gave this show no chance for a second season, thinking the premiere was terribly done. But all of us agreed it was worth watching by the end of the season. That first episode was filmed in the "La Brea Tar Pits", a tourist attraction in Los Angeles. Didn't know this till recently: was told by someone I know who works at this park. He was so excited to get everyone he knows to watch, just to see his workplace on TV! It wasn't someone I talk to much, obviously. But I chuckled over the fact that the debut was, by far, the worst one. Wednesday, September 28th "Survivor 43: Lovable Curmudgeon", Season 43, Episode 2, 8 to 9:30 pm on CBS An unexpected storm hits and keeps tribes shivering all night in their shelters; one castaway puts their tribe at risk of going to tribal council after failing to pull their weight in the challenge. Who do you suppose is being called a "lovable curmudgeon". Gabler, maybe? Or Jeff Probst himself? HA HA. The premiere episode was a pretty good one. Perhaps it was the lack of any good Survivor for so long, but I enjoyed it and hope the season doesn't disappoint later on, as sometimes it does. As we all know. (This week's episode is a ninety-minute one, as is Amazing Race's. Only next week will we be finally able to watch the "Love Boat" reboot, made into a reality show! I know we've all been waiting on pins and needles for this #SarcFont! "The Amazing Race: Patience Is the New Me", Season 34, Episode 2, 9:30 pm on CBS Teams explore the beauty of Austria and must learn a traditional wedding dance and yodel. Who do we imagine said this episode title? Well, not sure I know the teams well enough to guess (or maybe it's a player's butt tattoo? #Survivor43Humour) So what do we think about the new "No non-elimination legs"? I'm okay with it, I guess, but I bet I'll change my mind the first time a team I really like comes in last with no hope of being saved. Wonder how many continuing legs we will have then? And will ALL greetings at the mat now just be chat with Phil - no more "You are team number two!" to always keep us on our toes? "The Masked Singer: Vegas Night", Season 8 Episode 2, 8 pm on Fox Blue Man Group, jugglers, and more visit the show to welcome two new celebrity singers for their first performances of the season; two new characters enter the game and two are unmasked. The premiere was a really fun episode, but I must say, very confused by the format this season. Last week, only four performed and three were unmasked leaving one to be the "Queen". This week, it sounds like we only get two new ones to add to the Queen and two will be unmasked, leaving only one left again? Is that how it will be all season? No groups? Just knocking it down to one every episode? Very confusing. "Big Sky: The Woods are Lovely, Dark and Deep", Season 3 Episode 2, 10 pm, ABC When disgruntled realtor Tonya calls the police on a squatter living in one of her homes, Jenny arrives only to discover a shocking connection to her past tied to the case; Cassie and Beau work to track the still-missing backpacker. Intriguing premier episode (as they always are) includes the introduction of a new arc with creepy characters (and their mothers!), some likable characters (with daughter issues!) and some remaining characters we like (always keep Boss Lady Tonya! But bring in Teri Hatcher as her even-more-evil mother!). It's all fun and games until deer blood starts dripping on your head! "Resident Alien: I Believe in Aliens" Finale, Season 2 Episode 16, 10 pm on Syfy Harry comes face to face with his greatest enemy and makes a choice that may affect Earth forever. The finale episode of the season! How does Ali feel about Enver being Harry's greatest enemy, I wonder? And the baby alien: last episode was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time when we lost the alien tracker right when he found his son. Too much detail? Wonder if there will be a season three? Thursday, September 29th "Young Sheldon: Four Hundred Cartons of Undeclared Cigarettes and a Nablingo", Season 6 Episode 1, 8 pm on CBS George Sr. bails Meemaw and Georgie out of jail; Sheldon and Missy meet Mandy; Mary feels unwelcome at church. I hope I still like this show. A bit concerned about Mary feeling unwelcome at Church. Can't recall where the show ended last season. "Ghosts: Spies", Season 2 Episode 1, 8:30 pm on CBS Sam enlists the ghosts to help secure a good review from an overly critical couple staying at the bed-and-breakfast; Isaac tries to integrate Nigel into his friend group. I'm sure we have posters looking forward to THIS. Some pretty great comedy in this show, for sure. "So Help Me Todd", Season 1 Pilot, Episode 1, 9 pm on CBS Meticulous attorney Margaret Wright hires her scruffy son as her law firm's in-house investigator. This is the one I've been most looking forward to checking out. Anyone care to join me? Looks kind of fun - but I imagine I will be expecting Skylar Astin to break into song at least once every episode. In fact, I might be disappointed if he doesn't! Friday, September 30th I guess Friday will be catch-up night for all those missed shows on Wednesday and the rest of the week.
These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments.

Hello RTV people, This is the much-anticipated start to the fall 2022 TV season so expect a much longer than normal Rat page. Keeping that in mind, this heading will be much shorter than normal. No rambling on about the weather or my thoughts about... whatever. Instead we will dive right into our TV week. So here goes. But first.....(#JulieChenHumour) I spent a big chunk of yesterday assembling and preparing to launch the "Faith and Family" wing of my site. I have titled it "Entertainment Good for The Soul" and have labeled it "The Faith and Family Wing of RTV Fanatics Unite". Maybe I can find a few like-minded people to ME, who would be interested in participating in conversation about this kind of thing - instead of beating a dead horse over here about it with folks completely uninterested. Worth a try - and if it fails, it fails. We shall see how it goes. NOW, here goes. Sunday, September 18th "Big Brother: Season 24, Episode 31", 8:30 pm on CBS We're down to the final four! No shields left to hide behind, no background to slide into - how you play is going determine your fate. This is the week when winning HOH (as Taylor did on Thursday) is nowhere near as important as winning POV (probably seen on Thursday, since there is no Wednesday night episode this week). The schedule is all mixed up as we race toward next Sunday's season finale! "Chesapeake Shores: Straighten Up and Fly Right", Season 6 Episode 6, 8 pm on Hallmark Various issues are troubling the O'Briens; Mick is in denial about his addiction; Margaret passes the bar (ironically, passing bars is probably what Mick needs to start doing to beat this addiction! #HeeHeeHee); Jess pursues a new idea, and Bree tries mending the rift between her and Luke. All these new issues and this is the final season.... but so good. I know... I'm all alone in this on RTVFU, but still love this show. "Relative Race" Season 10, 8 pm on BYU TV. I've never seen this show but have alwqys wanted to. I can't find where to watch all seasons, but I do have access to three of the previous ones on UpTV Faith and Family. Here is a link to an article which explains what the show concept is in more detail, but it is a race in which players use DNA to find lost relatives. Relative Race Is Back – Season 10 Premieres on Sunday, September 18, 2022 on BYUTV – Journey Through the Generations I actually have access to BYU-TV on Frndly. Will try to make a real effort to watch this new season (then I can go back and watch the previous ones). It starts today at 8 pm and could be a good candidate for the other site, but I wanted to mention it here as well. I hear it actually IS a race, but is also a heartwarming show. Monday, September 19th "The Voice: Blind Auditions" Season 22, Episode 1, 8 to 10 pm on NBC The talent is exceptional, and the competition fierce as global superstar Camila Cabello claims her red chair alongside returning coaches John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon. But the question is, will anyone but ME care to watch? No idea who the new judge is and I'm really not a fan of Gwen Stafani. AND... what happened to Kelly? Seriously, do I really WANT to watch? Well, having missed good tv for such a long time, perhaps I'll give it a go. If anyone cares to play along, let me know. "Quantum Leap" Premiere: July 13, 1985, 10 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: A new team assembles to restart the Quantum Leap project; lead physicist Ben Song takes an unauthorized leap into 1985 as the team scrambles to figure out what happened and how to get him back. I never really watched the original show. Was aware of it, sure, but was too busy in life for TV back then. Might check this one out though... if for no other reason than to have a time travel back to 1985 moment. What's memorable for me in 1985? The year I graduated from college. The year that the most iconic movie about time travel hit theaters, "Back To the Future". Anything else? WM? (Live Aid raised millions of dollars to fight starvation in Ethiopia, featuring the biggest recording stars of the day in a twenty-four hour concert all across the globe - but denied the festival's organizer Bob Geldof the Noble Peace prize (that sneaky Mother Teresa yanked the rug right out from under him!) If anyone cares to chat through this one, let me know. A chat page could be done. Maybe this show will be more successful than last years' "Ordinary Joe" which was in the coveted right-after-The-Voice spot but managed to fail anyway. "Dancing With the Stars", Season 31 on Disney Plus, still live at 8 pm. Did a bit of research and found that the reason they pulled it from ABC has more to do with that channel wanting to promote Monday Night Football than anything else. But they lost a lot of ratings on network TV due to controversial decisions such as firing Tom and Erin and replacing them with Tyra. Ratings have dropped the last couple of years with a lot of fans clamoring to have Tyra replaced as she stumbles over her words and dresses outlandishly. So instead of firing her... they gave her a co-host in Alfonso Rabiera and moved it to Disney Plus. I guess they figure only fans who really love the show will follow it there. I don't know; I'm really on the fence about this. I don't just want her replaced. I want Tom and Erin back with a full apology for this egregious error in judgement. That is what made me stop watching consistently in the first place. Then Tyra was such a bad hostess, it completely turned me off and I gave it up. Trevor Donovon might be the only thing that makes me check it out this season. The Hallmark, and now Great American Family, actor has been in a ton of enjoyable movies and will soon have his own show on a new Great American Community App, which will become available on September 26th. It's titled "Everyday Adventures with Trevor Donovan", and he'll in the cast paired with Emma, who has always been one of my favorite pros. Still on the fence about this. Let me know if anyone would appreciate a place to chat. I must say that "The Voice" will probably be my first choice so if I check this out it will be on demand. "Snake In the Grass: Something Is Snaky Here (Isn't something snaky here every week?)" Season 1, Episode 8, 11 pm on USA An alliance is broken when head games are played; a Snake tries to keep its story straight. Once again, I must implore NBC to put this show on network TV so we can have fun with it next season! And in a better time slot. The last episode was a really fun one. I've really enjoyed this all summer. It is such a shame that no one else has been able to play along. Oh well, maybe next season. Tuesday, September 20th "The Bachelorette Finale", Season 19 Episode 12, 8 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: Gabby and Rachel are each down to one man looking for lifelong love; both women join Jesse Palmer as they watch the shocking conclusions to their journeys play out; the new bachelor makes his debut. Like every single season finale in the show's history, this one promises to be The Most! Dramatic! Show! Ever! And will inevitably fail to match the over-the-top hyperbole. I'll bet many are like me and just ready to get the damn thing done and over with. "The Voice Premiere Week" Blind Auditions continue, Episode 2, 8 to 10 pm NBC If I do a page, it will be one page for both episodes. If anyone would like to play along, please let me know. "The Amazing Race Canada" Season 8 Episode 9, is on at 9 pm for our Canadians. I'm a couple of weeks behind and must get caught up very soon - tonight is the season finale! Prayingthat #TeamCanmoreBroAndSis are still in the race! "Monarch: There Can Only Be One Queen (And She Is Sandra Diaz-Twine)", Season 1 Episode 2, 9 pm on Fox The Romans rally together after tragedy strikes; Nicky and Gigi grow even more competitive when the press dub Gigi "The New Queen"; sparks fly between Nicky and Wade; Kayla discovers some shocking news. Did anyone watch the premiere? I watched a bit and said I was going to finish it later but never did. Might go back and give it more of a chance. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts about this. Also, we have the return of "The Resident" tonight on Fox. Now, in the past I have LOVED this show. And then last season's "Halloween" episode completely turned me off. Also, the loss of a key character (Nic) made me very sad. I suppose if I'm going to watch this season, I should catch up. But still, every time I think about it, I think about the last episode I watched and how much it troubled me. Shame they ruined this lovely show for me. I believe we also have the return of "New Amsterdam" at 10 pm on NBC. I know this is a favorite of EJetson. Wednesday, September 21st "Survivor 43: Cutthroat Island Premiere", Season 43, Episode 1, 8 to 10 pm on CBS Premiere episodes read like this: Eighteen new castaways come together to form their own society and begin their adventure for $1 million. Here it is, folks: another season of "Survivor" kicks off today. Now, I've spent the last couple of weeks listening to a three-part podcast done by RHAP which gave a good cast assessment of these new players and first impression from both Mike Bloom and Rob C. Enjoyable listen, and can be found on pretty much any Podcast platform. Here is a link to the cast page if anyone cares to check it out. It is showing about fifty comments now, all me except one from DNA42. heh. Please folks, participate! "SURVIVOR" is back. Survivor 43: Cutthroat Island Official Cast Announcement - RTV Fanatics Unite (weebly.com) After listening to them all, I can say the two I'm most excited about are Jesse Lopez and Ellie Scott. But quite a few of them are interesting. Might have a bit more enthusiasm for this season then I thought I would, particularly since EJetson mentioned he read that the dumb hourglass twist will not be back. So happy to hear that. Of course, there will be a live chat. If I'm running late for it, sorry, but it might happen. But will have the page up early. "The Amazing Race: Many Firsts But Don't Be Last", Season 34, Episode 1 Premiere, 10 pm on CBS Episode synopsis reads like this: Twelve new teams start their journey in Munich; a team is eliminated. A new season of "The Amazing Race" is another thing to get excited about. For some reason, I missed getting a cast assessment but will do so today. I know there is a lot of information out there; I just haven't check it out yet. Sorry, dropped the ball. But that doesn't mean I'm not thoroughly excited for a new season. Will get a "kick-off" page up today and post it in the comments. "The Masked Singer: A Royal Season Premiere", Season 8 Premiere, 8 pm on Fox Episode synopsis reads like this: Four celebrities perform, with only one contestant moving on to the next week. This show being on against Survivor is a problem; but I will be watching. Let me know if anyone else would like to chat this one with me. "Masked Singer" is so much more fun with a chat. Can't believe they are on season eight already! Wow. I'll bet I couldn't name more than three winners without googling! "Lego Masters: Ready to Launch", Season 3 Episode 1, 9 pm on Fox Teams are introduced and tasked with a space-themed challenge...building personalized spaceships. Also on at the worst time ever. I haven't seen any of this show but I know Ali really has enjoyed it. Another one that could have a delayed chat if anyone cared to do so. Let me know. "Big Sky: Do You Love An Apple", Season 3 Episode 1, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: It's been a few months of relative peace, but all that's about to change when Sunny Barnes and her family set up Sunny Day Excursions just outside of town; Cassie is called in to investigate a missing backpacker; Beau and Jenny track a murderer (or is that murder a tracker?) Well, I'm not a fan of this show but I know we have a few. Must ask - WHEN did it move to Wednesday (Stupidly, just this season!) What a terrible decision to put it on such a busy TV night. I thought it was always a Thursday show. "Resident Alien: Best of Enemies", Season 2 Episode 1, 10 pm on Syfy Episode synopsis reads like this: Harry has an unexpected partner as he tries to infiltrate a military base to find his alien baby. And since TAR is beginning, this will need a delayed chat as well. Probably not too many episodes left in the season though. This week, maybe just doing it at 8 pm Thursday would work (as we did last week). Then there are all those "Chicago" Shows for EJetson. And "The Goldbergs" for me - though I must say they are keeping this show alive longer than it needs to be. Adam graduated high school last season; I think. Might be time to give it a rest. Is annoying Mom going to follow Adam to film school? Wednesday is loaded. As I say every season: jeez, networks. There ARE other nights of the week besides "WEDNESDAY"! Why pile all the good shows on the same night? It's annoying. Thursday, September 22nd "Big Brother" Season 24 Episode 32, 9 to 11 pm on CBS Wednesday's show was cancelled so this will have to be VETO night - but what else will happen? The schedule is mixed-up this week! Friday, September 16th "Big Brother" Season 24 Episode 33, 9 to 11 pm on CBS WM ? No idea what pic to put on a Friday night episode (Julie Chen dancing on Tik Tok!) I guess it will depend on how much was covered on Thursday for the VETO comp, the live eviction and the new HOH comp. We'll just have to find out as they happen! IF I missed anything, please let me know. I did find this pretty good look on Deadline about TV shows premiering. Here is a link if you want to check it out: Fall TV Premiere Dates 2022: New, Returning Shows On Broadcast, Cable, Streaming – Deadline I'm fascinated that they have included the BYU show "Relative Race" which is beginning its tenth season. See above on Sunday's information. These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments. ![]() Hello RTV people, If you are all caught up on anything you care about from last night's TV, you are safe to enter.
