Hello Survivor Fans, It's time, once again, to prepare for another season of Survivor. Wish I had more enthusiasm. I hate to say it but, Survivor's glory days are over, I do believe. But, am willing to be wrong so maybe they will exceed my expectations this season and give us some great fun. I maintain though, that if Australian Survivor can manage 49 days for a season, US Survivor can stop being wussy and go back to the traditional 39. But enough about my irritation with US Survivor's unwanted changes. Let's look at the new cast for Season 43. Here is the link to the EW Artcle by Dalton Ross which gives all the necessary information. Meet the cast of Survivor 43 | EW.com I am taking this Tribe by Tribe. So here we go.... starting with The Coco Tribe (Blue) Whose members include (from left to right): James Jones, a 37 year old Event Planner from Philadelphia who hates pushy people and has as his claim to fame winning the US Chess Open Championship at the age of twelve. Expect a lot of chess analogies from this one. He is also a man of deep faith who grew up in Church. Lindsay Carmine, a 42-year-old Pediatric Nurse from Greensboro, NC but currently living in Pennsylvania who fancies herself as a Natalie (physical strength), Sarah (strategic), Michelle (social). So basically, she says she has it all. Ryan Medrano, a 25-year-old Warehouse associate from Savannah, GA. He loves fishing (so, of course, fancies himself a Rupert) and says he is competitive, social and great at puzzles. Geo Bustamonte, a 36-year-old Project Manager from Honolulu, HA. who fancies himself a combination of BR and Cochran. Interesting combination. It's the strategic thinker, maybe. Karla Cruz Godoy, a 28-year-old Educational Project Manager from San Diego, CA. She says she is incredibly competitive, and an over-achiever and she fancies herself a Cirie Fields. Cassidy Clark, a 26-year-old designer from Plano, TX. She says she has a fighting spirit, a love for life, aand is a competitive and social powerhouse who fancies herself a Kim Spradlin. That "silent assassin" kind of player. (so like a Pia, in Australian Survivor speak... is what she really means.) The Vesi Tribe (Red) Dwight Moore, a 22-year-old graduate student from Palo Alto, Ca. who really hates when people make Office references to him when hearing his name is Dwight. Why did that amuse me. HA. But I get it. Will refrain from comparing you to the Office Dwight all season, I promise. While not a big outdoor living fan, he feels he is a bit of a Wendell with a great social game to back him up. Nneka Ejere, a 43-year-old Pharmacist from Weatherford, TX who says she is joyful, hardworking and trustworthy. She also fancies herself a Cirie, though I see a bit more love for the outdoors in this one than Cirie had. Cody Assenmacher, a thirty-five-year-old salesman from Iowa currently living in Honolulu, HA. Optimistic, charismatic and fearless. He fancies himself a bit of a Malcolm and he says that he and Survivor were meant for each other; it just took them 20 years to realize it. heh. Fun statement. Noelle Lam, a 25-year-old US Paralympian, who has remained a competitive athlete despite losing her leg in 2016 (her bio doesn't say how). She says that most people underestimate her when they see her leg and that is a big mistake. Somehow, I believe her. She fancies her a Kelley Wentworth in her second season. be Jesse Lopez, a 30 year old with a degree in Political Science currently working at Duke University, from Venice, CA currently living in Durham NC. He warmed my heart when he said his favorite hobbies are chess with his son and dancing with his daughter. And that his favorite time of day is spending time with his lovely wife after the chess player and dancer go to bed. Aww. Nice. He fancies himself a Christian or Spencer, "no one can beat me in strategy". Big words. We shall see. Justine Brennan, a 29-year-old Cyber Security salesperson who lives in Marina Del Ray, CA who has a Psychology degree and works in Sales so figures that will make her great at outwitting people. Thinks she will be great at playing a game similar to that of a Kelley Wentworth or even Joe Anglin, minus the challenge beast aspect of Joe. Though, she says she was raised as the son her Dad wished she was so they might be underestimating her in that regard. rt. The Baka Tribe (Yellow) The Baka Tribe (Yellow) Elizabeth Elie Scott, a 31-year-old Clinical Psychologist from Atlanta, GA who really cannot stand when someone is intentionally hurtful to others. She says she is naturally nurturing and caring but will not be afraid to be strategic and to outwit the other players. She was so wordy, I paraphrased. Sami Layadi a 19-year-old recent High School Graduate who has picked an unfortunate job to begin his adult life with. He promised to be the kind of player who never gives up and who will never allow himself to not know what is going on around him. He is another one who wants to play like Kelley Wentworth. Why does this suprise me that so many people want to play like Kelley. Morriah Young, a 28 year old Teacher and Content Creator from Philadelphia, PA and you know what I like most about her? She was right to the point on her bio here. I love her response to the which player will you be most like. "James: "Don't bite the apple!" Stay true to your alliance as best you can, and stick it out to the end." Short and sweet and I like James too. **Oh, the irony of ME being annoyed at someone being too wordy. hee hee. Owen Knight, a 30-year-old College Admissions Counselor from New Orleans, LA who has a pet peeve about people who don't know what to do at a 4 way stop. OMG.... I have one of those right up the road from my house that I have to drive through every day and EVERY DAY I get annoyed by this. Why is it so hard for some to know what to do at a 4 way stop? Anyway.... Jeanine Zheng, A 24-year-old UX designer from South Hamilton, Mass. She fancies herself a Kim Spradlin...with a bit of an Andrea Boelke thrown in. I always liked Andrea. Mike Gabler, A 52-year-old Heart Valve Specialist from Houston TX, currently living in Meridian, Idaho. Social, yet requires time alone. More sensitive then one would think. When asked if he can be the sole Survivor... his response was only one word. "YES!" Short and to the point. These are our three tribes. Got the countdown in place, showing the game is seventeen days away. Never fear, folks... we might have some decent TV coming around soon AFTER all. The Season Premiere of Survivor 43 is September 21st at 8 pm on CBS!
