Come On In, GUYS! After a grueling, accelerated 26-day season filled with new twists and advantages, castaways skillfully navigate their way to the final three, with one crowned the Sole Survivor; Jeff Probst hosts the after show.
We all know how I feel about the drop from 39 to 26 days so I guess I don't need to rehash THAT. I'll just say I wish I was more enthusiastic for this finale. Here's hoping I'll be more excited for next season, when we finally get longer episodes after years of begging and pleading. Even if it took a writers' strike to make it happen. I would have LOVED longer episodes during, say the "Winners at War" season. Or maybe "Cagayan" , one of my absolute faves (the more Spencer the better, right? :) We will see how I feel come fall. As for tonight... since Caroline escaped elimination last week, I am still feeling the season could be hers. And I wouldn't mind that at all. As quirky as she is, there is no denying she is also quite astute and would be a worthy Sole Survivor. We shall see. Who wants to Live Chat the Season Finale of Survivor at 8 pm?

Come on in, GUYS! Castaways must get the ball rolling in the right direction at the reward challenge to win a relaxing evening at the sanctuary; with only six castaways left, it is an emotional struggle to decide which castaway will be going home.
I would never have believed I'd ever think this when the season first started, but... are we in for a Caroline win? I hear this is RobC's prediction (Dalton Ross leans more and more towards this every week too). Has the edit has been pointing us this way all season? Who knows? We could all be wrong. WM? Any thoughts? (Maybe the elimination of Danny - this season's Xander / Rick Devens obsession you sometimes get that blinds you to the possibility of any other winner - will allow you to watch the finish with a fresh perspective?) **Excuse me, WM, but... never have I once suggested I thought Danny was the one who should win. I like Danny. I think he is the ONE player in this cast with an old school heart trapped in the wrong season. But never did I suggest he should win. There was NO obsession with Xander. I just felt, plain and simple, that he should have won his season based on the season and the edit I watched. The person who got the win got no edit to prove why she deserved it. Editor's fault? Maybe? I felt the same way about Aubry that season SHE should have won. No one is obligated to agree with me though. As far as Devins go... that was far and away the shows worst season with the most undeserving winner and underwhelming end. Devins was the entertainment of the season, and I was sad when his run was over; I don't know anyone who wasn't flat out frustrated over the winner of the Edge of Extinction season, Chris Underwood. I almost think ANYONE would have been a better winner. Nothing against Chris. It's just a person shouldn't be the first one voted out, then brought back in at the last minute to win the game. Blame the producers for their stupid "edge of extinction" twist or blame the jury for rewarding him the win over whoever else was at the end with him that they were bitter against? I don't remember much about the season to remember if Devins was the CLEAR winner; but he would have been a more satisfying winner then the one we got. Anyway, back to current season .... I do feel like Carline is FAR more astute than most were giving her credit for since the beginning. Her superpower is that she is deeply underestimated, and she has used that to her advantage. I guess we will see soon enough. Who wants to Live Chat Survivor at pm? Good morning, Castaways must land a win at the reward challenge to earn a night at the sanctuary and letters from home; castaways need to snake their way toward a win in the immunity challenge.
Aww. The "Letters from home" episode. Seems like the season just started; how did we get HERE already? btw, I checked the "Inside Survivor" site for any new news about internationals - but sadly, found nothing to report. Dang it, I was hoping for news about an upcoming "Survivor South Africa" (though we never actually watched the last season of that). Perhaps we should try this summer, since we seem to be lacking in good TV? Who wants to Live Chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? Hello Survivor fans, Castaways must negotiate with Angelina to earn a big pot of rice for the entire tribe; the castaways put their best foot forward to earn immunity at the next tribal council.
"Their BEST foot forward". A challenge involving "all feet / no hands?" The Aussies had one of those this past season. And last week had a gnarly-feet-covered-in-mud-grinding-in-horrible-pain challenge too. An episode titled "Under the Wing of a Dragon" should include an appearance of Coach, the legendary "Dragonslayer", right? Or at least a Probst reference to him? Perhaps he'll say the most famous (well, at least in my mind) quote of Survivor Tocantins "Sierra is the bowel movement that comes out of the dragon when you slice its head off." Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? Hello Survivor fans, A war between old tribes risks creating a shift in power; castaways get twisted and caught up in the immunity challenge; Caroline freaks out.
I have nothing to go on about here (well, the previews showed Caroline getting hysterical as she tangled herself deeper in the ropes; that should provide some good laughs). I'm glad I don't attempt recapping anymore; I'm just not enthusiastic enough about this season to care. You know WM, maybe we'd enjoy this season more if we started creating our own "NGH"s again. What we could come up with might be more entertaining than the season itself, heh! Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? Hello Survivor Fans, Castaways must find the key to unlock a new twist in the game; one castaway finds themself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
There IS a new Survivor though...and the merge has "officially" happened! We are now playing an individual game, and there are real idols and fake idols in abundance! Who wants to Live Chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? Hello Survivor fans, The tribes pack their bags and prepare to meet each other on the same beach; one castaway risks getting caught up in their own web of lies.
Now that the greatness that is "Australian Survivor" has ended, will I be able to find some interest in this season? Remains to be seen. So far, not really feeling it but I'm sure I'll stick it out. Odd that the synopsis doesn't call it a "merge"; or that last week's preview just showed Probst saying "Drop your buffs!" Yep, we're being mis-directed..... **Isn't it too early for a merge? Tribe swap maybe? Well, they started with eighteen, six have left, so that leaves twelve now. Don't know if that's too many for a merge. Tribe swap for two tribes of six? Maybe. In the new era, there's been one week of the tribes staying together with some twist (the legendary turn-back-time-breaking-the-hourglass move, which made you hate season 41 #HeeHeeHee). That could happen this week, with the "official" merge taking place next Wednesday. Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? Come on in GUYS! A budding romance could become an easy target for one tribe; one castaway hopes to convince the tribe of their worth to stay another day.
Uh oh, is there trouble brewing for the dork magnets? Jeez, when will people learn not to openly display romantic feelings on Survivor? It just makes everyone else scream "Split them up!" in a hurry. Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? Hello Survivor Fans, Tribes must snake their way toward the win for immunity and reward; paranoia starts to set in over a looming suspicion; lines are drawn in the sand at tribal council.
Love the title. Who are the two "dorks", I wonder? The premiere episode is in the books. It was okay. A couple of confusing decisions from our new players. I've been puzzling over blowing your "shot in the dark" in the first episode. Not just one... but two people. Mind blower. I'm sure it was simply a case of feeling "spooked" not really feeling safe but come on. They ALL knew who the target was (No, Bruce was smart to use his. His arm was in a sling; he was especially vulnerable. If there was an actual female alliance, he would absolutely have been their alternate choice against Brandon) ..**You mean MATT, WM If you can't make it through the first tribal council you are in without feeling the need to use the one sure lifeline you have... how do you intend to make it through the entire twenty-six days? (Should be thirty-nine hee hee). What will you do the next time you feel spooked? Unbelievable. (Catlover, SOMEBODY goes home in every first tribal; holding back because you MIGHT need it later if you're target. Bruce now has a strong alliance with the other two men. This might have been the only time he would have needed it). ** Again, you mean Matt. My response to WM's inserts: no Bruce is the one who got injured and sent home. Matt is the one who climbed a big rock and got injured, though not seriously, putting his arm in a sling. I went and read Dalton because I couldn't remember people at all... heh. But what I thought I was remembering was that they all were going to vote Brandon - at the constant urging of Maddy. One lost her vote already. So that leaves five. If Maddy had convinced them all to vote Brandon and Brandon played his idol whoever it was that Brandon voted for would be the one leaving. If it is true that Matt is the one that whispered a warning at Brandon as Dalton suggested, then he should have been confident that Brandon's vote wouldn't go his way. That's what I meant. Maybe we can give a slight pass to Matt (but I don't think he really deserves one) due to his injury. But Jaime blowing hers made zero sense. Survivor newbie spooked at the first tribal council when she had no reason to worry, is what that was. The conversation you missed if you didn't visit Sunday's Rat Page. heh.
