Hello Survivor Fans, Episode synopsis reads like this: After a grueling season with no food, a warm meal is up for grabs at the reward challenge; the immunity challenge is a test of focus and balance. Just who IS the baby with a machine gun? Hmm... I think the youngest one still in the game is Xander. Could someone be saying this about HIM? Somehow that doesn't seem like the right answer to me.A reference to someone perceived to behave childishly... like Shan, who insists on having only her own way to the detriment of her own game? She continues to irritate people in the bigger group. Controlling the original six on her first Yasa tribe proved easy. Things have gotten a lot more difficult since the merge. Some Shan antics that worked on Yasa are now making her look like a control freak. I truly don't see her winning the game. In fact, I'm still rooting hard for Xander to continue finding a way to survive week after week. Still holding an idol. And... isn't he still holding a "steal a vote"? Or did he use it already. Help me out here WM (No, what he holds is an extra vote like what Shan used last week. By the way, RHAP think he was a fool not to use it last tribal to ensure Liana's vote out). I like to root for underdogs. Go Xander. Once again running late.... no time for NGH's this morning. But the good news is, after today, I get a five day weekend! WM? care to play? Come On In, GUYS!! Beginning of Mini Recap... ... though I admit, it might not be much of one. I'm lacking motivation but never fear: even if chatting at EW is something you don't want to do, Dalton's recap is always a fun read. Here is a link if you care to join in. Think I'll read - or skim - through it and see if I can find some motivation. Survivor 41 episode 9 recap: Double trouble | EW.com Well, the first several paragraphs are about Liana's hatred of Xander's face. How much needs to be said about that? (Dalton knows no limits!) I'm just going to keep this simple and let WM work his magic tomorrow. Show starts with Naseer and Heather. Her antics at the last tribal council left Naseer thinking she cannot be trusted. I understand where HE is coming from, but I must say: I was baffled about the need to boot Heather. She's had very little impact on the game - and the one time she tried, she failed badly. There are other choices who are far more game-savvy and dangerous. #Curious. At the challenge they were split up into two teams of five. Now bring on a gruelling endurance challenge Survivor is so famous for! Two teams were: Danny, Evvie, Liana, DaShawn and Xander, Ricard, Shan, Erica, Heather, and Naseer Last person standing for each tribe gets immunity. Losing team goes to tribal first and votes out one player. Winning tribe is rewarded with a nice lunch and the second visit to tribal. Didn't take long for people to drop like flies from this exhausting challenge. Erica lasted longest of all the blue team, but couldn't (or didn't care to) stay up long enough to be in the running for the food reward ("Ah, screw them. They left me alone for two days on Exile Island. I'll show THEM what hunger feels like!") That left Xander and DaShawn to battle it out for victory. Both guys gave all they could, but in the end it was Xander who pulled out the win (much to the frustration of Liana, who for whatever reason has a strange obsession with hating Xander and his face. Seriously, WTH??) See Dalton's recap for his dissertation on what possible reason she could have for hating his face. Spoiler: It's not so much his actual face but the fact that his face is still in the game when she has been warning what a threat he is since DAY FIVE (when she tried to convince Shan to boot out him instead of David Voce). The interesting part of this episode was the post challenge/pre-tribal parts. Still in the same teams and separated at two different camps, we got a back-and-forth look at the way they decided just who to vote for. It was edited well, increasing the tension for the two tribals. For the group of Xander, Danny, DaShawn, Liana and Evvie, it was clear that Evvie was the target. Xander has immunity and is also holding an idol. He's not going anywhere, and they aren't voting him out with an idol in his pocket. The most chuckle-worthy part of this was the idea that Liana - after all her distrust of Xander and her obvious hatred of him (which, by the way, is also is very clear to HIM, Liana. Jeez, it's just a game, girl!) - she was so concerned he might play the idol to save Evvie that she asked him to hand the idol over to her to hold; you know, in case he succumbed to the temptation save Evvie. Huh? WTH?Second time in this game that an interaction between Xander and Liana made her look foolish. Hey, maybe I know the reason why she hates his face so much! But Ricard, Shan, Heather, Erica and Naseer seemed split in their thinking. Control freak Shan wanted Heather (I don't know, maybe because of... the mastermind that she is? Because she's such a threat to win challenges?) Hmm. There is no possible reason why Heather should be the target here - but for Shan it's time to cut her loose. Ricard correctly saw things differently. Now was not the time to cut a "no-threat to win anything" player like Heather. It's time vote out a potential victor. Or at least one (besides Shan) holding an idol. Yes, they are describing Naseer. Now, I really like Naseer. I was rooting for him to do well. But Ricard is not wrong here. With only five players voting, it was easier to gather votes against a big threat. Shame the top tier settled on Naseer and the bottom tier didn't rally together and blindside Shan or Ricard. Now Ricard is facing the difficult task of convincing Shan that she is wrong, the better plan is not the one she is pushing for. Let me repeat: Ricard now has to CONVINCE SHAN THAT SHE IS WRONG! Tribal council begins, losing team first. The most amusing part: a player mentions that who is holding idols is common knowledge. So Probst asks, in the most incredulous tone imaginable, "Why does everyone know what everyone has?" Gee, Probst... wonder how THAT happened? Take a moment and give it some thought. It's not like anyone had to say a ridiculous phrase into front of all the tribes to activate a hidden immunity idol, is it? Once everyone returns from the voting booth, the vote is six / six split - in a tribe of five. Hmm. How can this be? Oh, those damn advantages! Shan had that extra vote that she decided to play. But instead of putting two votes on Heather to get her way, she split them: one for Heather, one for Naseer. Why would she do this? The only thing I can think of is that she wasn't confident that just two votes would be enough to get Heather. She wanted to put an extra one on her just in case - then put one on Naseer so that she could honestly say to Ricard that she voted with him. Yes, Shan has often proven that she cares little about honesty in this game - but Ricard IS her main alliance. (Actually Catlover, it was fear of Nadeer playing his idol and the votes shifting that prompted Shan's split votes) I could be way off on this.. who knows why Shan does anything? But a tie vote occured, a second vote followed, and with that, Naseer was voted off with an idol in his pocket. Bring on the tribe of Xander, Liana, DaShawn, Danny and Evvie! This vote seemed more straightforward. I did wonder if Xander MIGHT use his idol on Evvie, since it had to be clear to him that Evvie would be the target. But no, there would be no second save for Evvie. We can debate whether he should or shouldn't have to keep at least one ally in place - or was better keeping his idol to use another day. I personally fall in the "Good he kept the idol" camp. Still rooting for "Xander the underdog" (or "Under the xanderdog") to win... despite the "confessional" burp (it's the mother in me!), which I admit brought a laugh. Check out Dalton's recap if you want a more detailed one. See link above. Beginning of Live Chat... no mini-NGH this week. aww.
Episode synopsis reads like this: A castaway is singled out for a dishonest game; immunity and reward are on the line. Who will be singled out, and who says "Who's Who In The Zoo?" If I had to guess, I'd sat Shan is singled out (DaShawn's distrust of her makes me think this). Weird that I recall nothing about last Wednesday's preview of next week. As for who says the quote... hmm... no idea. Well, we know it isn't witty enough for Xander. I'll guess Evvie for no other reason than I can sort of hear her say something like that. I need context. #IDemandContext! It IS disappointing to learn that, if Tiffany's version is correct, Xander wasn't the one most responsible for the Knowledge-Is-Power move. Wasn't Tiffany plotting against Xander just the week before? Now she wants to work against Liana to save his idol from being stolen? I guess it was more about saving Evvie from being voted out. But still... (It was about saving their small three-person alliance. They had just three, easy pickens for the majority. They needed anything they had to protect themselves). Tiff qualified her statement that it was she and Evvie's idea. I CAN believe that Evvie helped put this plan together since it was mostly HER game on the line. Still wondering if it was Tiffany's brainchild though. Will we ever REALLY know the truth? Heh. I guess the truth in this case is defined by who is telling the story. Now it's Wednesday, and I'm running late so no real time for an NGH. Whoops. My days are confused. No longer working Mondays any more, and last Monday the whole family was home so we did a day trip together. That made it feel like a weekend. Everything yesterday at work felt like a Monday so last night I completely forgot that today was "Survivor" day and gave no brain time to an NGH. Just wasn't thinking. Maybe WM has a brilliant idea. If not, well I guess we are taking a break for a week. Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS Beginning of Mini-Recap "Okay, let's take a pause from our Justice 4 Heather campaign and get into all the other big moments from Survivor 1 (What? They told me to drop the 4!)" Dalton Ross "Heather Speaks!" was the name of Dalton's recap. Fitting: this was the first time she has made a real effort to impact the game, and it was... a nice effort, I guess. But a complete failure. Sorry Heather. The show opens at camp after the last explosive tribal council. You know: Liana tried to take Xander's idol but got outsmarted. Back at camp, the Yasa three (who worked so well to trick Liana) suddenly seemed to be turning on each other! Xander, Evvie and Tiffany.... none of them trust each other. All of them are looking to find new allies. None of them are having much success. Wonder why that trio (and try to include Liana for four) couldn't stick together long enough to reduce the Luvus? I really am curious about this. Or to take out Ricard or Shan. Why wouldn't Shan and Ricard, the tribe of two, be at the bottom and not the Yasas, a tribe of four going into the merge (Shan is in a sub-allliance with Luvu's Danny, Dashawn and Liana. It wouldn't require much convincing to take those six votes - the majority - and switch the target to any of the bottom three)? Why did all three of them see themselves as at the bottom? I know... they all felt betrayed for one reason or another. But the three of them seemed so solid at that last tribal council. Why did it fall apart for them as soon as that TC was over? (Tribal proved the Luvus were "Navity strong". With Shan and Ricard on their side, it was only a matter of time (and immunity wins) before they all got pagonged). It made for some interesting conversation. And at the end, it seemed as though Evvie would be the target. Of course, this was early in the episode, so we all know what THAT means: no way was Evvie going anywhere at the end of this episode. Reward Challenge -To start, everyone had to draw a rock. Whoever drew the gray one had to sit out the challenge and miss the reward: lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and chips. In keeping with the new tradition, Erica was the unlucky one to draw the gray rock. Before the tribe arrived, we got a moment alone with Jeff, who explained he was hiding an advantage under the sit-out bench. Good things come to those who seek hard enough to find them, right? (Right Michaela, who practically stubbed her toe on the hidden idol during "Second Chances" but didn't bother picking the bag up? Right Sara, who caught a glimpse of the bag while swimming in the challenge, and managed to secretly board the raft and steal the idol for herself after the tribe had left) Xander, the kind-hearted soul that he is, offered to take Erica's spot on the bench so that she would not miss out on lunch. Aww. What a nice guy! Well, sort of. Heh. There were selfish motives at play here. He clearly knew he should look for .. something. But he didn't look hard enough and found no advantage (which, we must say, really wasn't concealed well). He should have looked harder and not worried about anyone noticing. I mean... I doubt anyone completely bought him doing it out of the kindness of his heart. Everyone knows Xander and the player he is. Still, Erica's team won (in large part due to Evvie's puzzle solving skills) and she got a good lunch out of it. I'm sure she appreciated that. Xander also said he liked the idea of using time spent with those who lose, to gain allies while they are feeling vulnerable. Liana and Shan had a meltdown over the loss of the challenge and a lost chance for some real food; Xander lent a compassionate ear. Meanwhile, tribe provider Naseer went out and found them all papayas. As the winners came back, their bellies full from lunch, Ricard's eyes light up at the site of freshly cut up papaya and he nabs a piece. Imagine his shock when his ride-or-die Shan tore a strip off him for taking a piece after just having had a reward lunch. "I've never seen this on Survivor, a player getting their hand slapped for taking food at camp after having food at a reward." he whined. Uh, Ricard? It's happened many, many times over the last fourty seasons. Immunity Challenge The immunity challenge is an old warhorse endurance comp: stand on your tippy toes with a block of wood on your head pressed up against a frame. Last person standing wins immunity. Who can endure the longest? As it turns out... HEATHER can! Well, almost. Before we discuss Heather, we should mention the deal. Probst made an offer: he would send a full bag of rice back to camp if some would sit out the challenge and give up their shot at immunity. Shan is the first to volunteer but she wants to make a deal. "How many need to sit out to get the rice?" She first offers "Two" and Probst all but scoffs at the notion. "Seven? Five?" Naseer steps up but no one else - so the two decide to give up on it. Then Xander talks Probst down to four, and offers to be the third volunteer. Ricard makes four, and the deal was done. To recap: Shan, Naseer, Xander and Ricard (three of whom are holding idols, so not as much of a risk for them) sit out of the challenge in exchange for a bag of rice for the tribe. Many players drop down almost as soon as the challenge starts. Quickly it narrows down to Evvie and Heather. Yes, HEATHER! The silent one who has barely been seen all season suddenly is THIS close to winning a challenge. I was all feeling good for her (until Tribal Council). Evvie takes possession of the necklace, Back at camp, Shan was causing real hard feelings among her alliance. She just HAS to have her way no matter what. She won't listen to the opinions of others. She wants full control at all times. Liana wanted to force Xander to use his idol but actually target Tiffany. Shan wanted to vote.. Naseer? Or was it... Heather? Huh? Because she came so close to winning ONE challenge after having spoken barely two words in eight weeks... now she's a threat? Honestly, it all got confusing for me. I lost track of who was wanting what about halfway through with all the drama between Shan and Deshawn (who really didn't appreciate the paster not wanting to hear his opinion - or anyone else's). Xander caught wind that Liana's goal was to flush his idol, so his radar was up too. They get to tribal council and the drama continues. When Jeff finally announces it's time to vote, Hether (!) asks if she is allowed to talk. She jumps up and starts whispering to everyone. WTH? It looked for a second she might be actually shaking up the works. And then... no. Heather wanted to shift everyone to Naseer. Shan could hear, and called her people around to vote Heather for causing so much drama. DaShawn didn't want anyone telling him what to do without feeling like his opinion was heard. It was a bit confusing to watch and ultimately, Heather ended up looking rather foolish. Dalton's recap gives the play by play quite well. Here is a link if you care to check it out: Survivor 41 recap: Heather speaks! | EW.com In the end, it was Tiffany who was voted out. Sadly. It felt like she wasn't really the target going in (well....the Luvus semmed determined to get one of the bottom three out. Evvie had the idol, so if they brought the floaters in and split the vote, Xander might be forced to play his idol and Tiffany would go. That seemed to be their ideal plan). But somehow after all the drama, she was the fall guy. HA.. or girl. She might be a fun jury member though. Should search out the first Ponderosa. "Oh, and as for yet another live Tribal, remember back when players weren't allowed to have private conversations there and actually had to figure out a way to communicate certain things to certain people without tipping off others? I miss those days." Dalton Ross Me too, Dalton. Me too. Okay, we will let WM add all the details I missed. See ya next week. Beginning of Live Chat
Episode synopsis reads like this: "The castaways must work to make amends after betrayals; an interesting turn of events takes place at the reward challenge." There were plenty of betrayals: Xander feeling betrayed by Evvie with the knowledge that she had shared his idol info with DaShawn; the Luvus feeling betrayed by Erica for hitting the hourglass and putting them all in jeopardy; Liana feeling betrayed by the Yasas (specifically Tiffany, who she thought she could trust) for making her look foolish, tricking her with the fake idol to save Evvie. Maybe Evvie feeling betrayed by Liana (so determined to take Xander's idol that it became impossible for him to use to save Evvie at that last tribal council - until he got wind of her betrayal and came up with a slam dunk defense against her, that is). Perhaps all of the above? So many options! And just what "interesting turn of events" will take place at the reward challenge? I don't even have a guess. But maybe I'll try to come up with one before Wednesday for NGH purposes. This might take some thought! Well, now it's Wednesday... hmm. I really STILL don't have a guess. Maybe another "re-write history" moment: all the voted-out players return as a team, to go head-to-head against the people still in the game. If the ex-players win this challenge, "history" will rewrite their torch-snuffings and they are now back in the game; the losing tribe of current players are unceremoniously sent to Ponderosa. Not fair? Who cares! That's what rewriting history is for! (Must read that back to see if it makes any sense. Hmmm.....) ...yep, it makes sense. And I wouldn't put ANYTHING past the drunken producers (who obviously had far too much time on their hands when plotting out season 41) to pull something completely unfair like that. Here is how I imagined the planning sessions went: they began by rewatching all fourty previous seasons. Which immediately led to... drinking game! Each time Probst said the word "guys", everyone had to chug the alcoholic beverage of their choice. Naturally, they got completely plastered; naturally, that was followed by some incredibly stupid ideas. "Probst should stop using the word "guys" so much. It's annoying. Also, very bad for the liver." said one. "I have a perfect way to put a stop to THAT." said one, slobbering over his drink. "Wouldn't it be a hoot for the players to humiliate themselves week after week by saying random, idiotic sentences? Maybe "butterflies are dead relatives"? No, I'll come up with stupider when I'm drunker. Hey, do goats ever use Astro-turf?" "It's GOLD, I tell ya!" said another, legendary for quoting "Seinfeld" whenever he imbibed. "Hey, let's have one team win immunity - only to have it reversed on them the very next episode by a different advantage!" said a third. "Maybe we should really stack the teams by making it a very physical one - well, except for that damn puzzle at the end that Probst insists finish EVERY challenge - then load all the strong young men on one team, with maybe one or two token females, and all the other ladies - especially any over fourty - onto the other team, with just one male. " "Ha! Oh ya, they will be SOME pissed!" Now, I don't drink and have no idea how to write people speaking while drunk so I will let WM make those three statements more entertaining to read (just make each one vomit whenever they finish a sentence). We know from his past history on EW that at one time he used to post as a guest, under incognito monikers. One was a drunk, if I'm not mistaken. So long ago, I can't recall what he used to call himself (Her name was "Old Lush", after the drunk office worker in the movie "Nine to Five". She was a constant drunken presence on the "Bachelor" board). Out of time..... WM, fix all this for me. Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS!! Beginning of Mini-Recap I walked into this episode expecting to be mad at the end... bu it turned out to be quite an entertaining ride. I despise many of these new advantages - but I love that some players are finding ways to dilute them. I'll try to remember details enough to paint a picture - a bit muddled a picture, but a picture nonetheless - of Survivor 41 episode seven. The show opened with a "Previously on" moment (!) for the first time in a long while. Why? Because they KNEW they have thrown so much at their audience there is no way we could have kept track of it all. A reminder of that "three way idol" that would only wake up after the three holders all said a series of silly sentences at the same immunity challenge (Xander, Naseer and Shan are the holders). The extra votes (DaShawn and Xander). The "Knowledge Is Power" idol held by Liana, which allows her to ask any player: "Do you have an idol" or "Do you have an advantage" at tribal council; if the answer is yes, the person must then hand it over to Liana. This all lead to the suspenseful (#SarcFont) question "What will Erica do?" Stuck at Redemption Island for two stormy nights, she had a choice to make: crush the hourglass to go back in time to reverse the results of the last challenge (the winning team would be stripped of their victory; now THEY would be the ones to compete in an immunity challenge. Only one player, not the whole team, would now have immunity at tonight's TC). The former losing tribe would now all be safe, being handed this gift by Erika, not by earning it. Or she could NOT crush the hourglass and keep everything the same. D'uh. It wasn't hard for us to figure out what her choice would be: of course she would crush the hourglass. Seriously, why WOULDN'T she? She knows the only reason she is sitting at Redemption Island is because those Luvus who won the challenge consider her their easy boot. Instead, she now has an easy way to save herself - AND finally rid the game of a Luvu player she's had a rivalry with from the beginning: namely Sydney. We all knew she would be the Erika target. Back to the beach to meet the tribe. The news of Erika's choice was certainly met with confusion. Suddenly, instead of sitting out and watching the challenge, Danny, DaShawn, Naseer, Evvie, Ricard and Sydney were the ones fighting for immunity, even though'd the won that privilege last week (so unfair! Not at all a fan of this. In fact, it makes me mad.) And the losers last week - Heather, Tiffany, Liana, Shan and Xander - are now safe and through to merge (even though they didn't earn the right to be there). Challenge Time: From Dalton Ross: "The immunity challenge this week had the players using their feet to release a rope and then stack blocks in a circle with a flag in the middle." It was very close.. and fun to watch. Always love watching a great "work with your feet" challenge. And while it was a nail-biting finish between Sydney, Evvie and Ricard - Ricard won immunity (which, I shall mention again, he had already WON until a dumb twist made him have to win it AGAIN. So unfair #FloggingADeadHorse). Back at camp: let the scrambling begin! It starts with Luvu wondering how the heck they WON the challenge last week and now they are suddenly at risk of going home? Poor Danny... the pro athlete in him just could not get his head around that. Totally understandable. He wasn't being a poor sport: when you win a challenge, YOU WIN A CHALLENGE! No one should be able to take that away. More from Dalton Ross: he is so much better at explaining the scramble details: "With Danny and Deshawn wanting to get a woman out of the game, that put the target squarely on Evvie. And once Liana shifted allegiance over to her new fearsome foursome of her, Shan, and D&D, then the target was locked and loaded. All that was left was to see how Advantagepalooza would play out. Because Xander was ready to play his idol for Evvie. And Liana was ready to use her Knowledge is Power advantage to take away Xander's idol. And everyone was telling everyone everything. Tiffany told Evvie about Liana's advantage. Then Evvie told Xander about Liana's advantage. Then Xander told Danny about Liana's advantage even though Danny already knew about Liana's advantage and was on the other team, and I'm not exactly sure what that accomplished other than alerting Liana to the defenses being put up against her. It was around this time that both sides starting parsing out every single word of the Knowledge is Power rules, realizing that Liana had to successfully figure out the person actually in possession of the idol at the time she asked the question for it." Read the rest of Dalton's recap here: Survivor 41 recap: Knowledge is sour | EW.com Well Dalton, I think what it accomplished was confusion. I think that was Xander's plan: cause as much confusion as possible so that Liana would have no idea who was holding an advantage. Liana DOES have a talk with Xander and Evvie, trying to fish out their plan. She apparently walked away convinced that Evvie was NOT holding the idol. Oh Liana... At tribal, Xander feels the need to whip out that idol for everyone to see. I wondered why in the world he would do that? Wouldn't that clue-in Liana to where the idol is? Of COURSE it would! You see, this was the plan! Liana can't believe her good fortune. Xander had just made it so EASY! So she pulls out her advantage, reads it out loud, and asks Xander if he has an idol. "Hm.. nope. But I have this FAKE one..." he says as he hands Liana the bogus one. I liked Xander before; I now truly appreciate him. The camera cuts to a brief look at this plan being hatched earlier in the day. Hard to know if it was Xander's alone or if he and Evvie (and maybe Tiffany) had hatched it together. But since it's HIS idol, I'm giving him the credit: he did all the work to pull it off perfectly (though as mentioned in our live chat, it IS a bit hard to understand why Liana fell for it. She KNEW Xander knew about her advantage. Did she not wonder why he would so blatantly flaunt the thing in front of her?) So a fake idol was made. The real one, along with his advantage, was safely tucked into the pocket of Tiffany. It never occured to Liana to ask her, so the plan played out perfectly, nullifying Liana's oh-so-powerful "Knowledge is Power" advantage (which is now no good to her or anyone else). Now the scrambling at another "full participation tribal council" commences (I admit, this usually drives me nuts. But in a situation like this, it's easy to understand why folks were unclear of which plan they should follow). DaShawn was sure he would be the target so he played his extra vote. Sydney was sure it would be her, so she played her "shot in the dark", a last ditch effort to save herself. But by doing so, she her vote - and didn't win immunity either. Evvie, sure it was her, pleaded with Tiffany to play the idol for her, while Xander urged her NOT to play it (even if it appeared Evvie did have good reason to worry). Tiffany - understanding (as Shan never would) that even though it's in HER pocket it is still not HER idol - would defer to whatever Xander decided. He was convinced Evvie would be safe; Evvie was not so sure. The votes are read. First three: one each for Deshawn, Evvie and Sydney. Next three: another one each for Deshawn, Evvie and Sydney. Then two more each for the two women. One vote left... and sadly for those of us who liked her... ... it is Sydney who is sent home. I know... kind of a sketchy recap. As usual, I'm sure that WM will improve it greatly once he gets his hands on it. (I know, this is probably just me - but does Sydney look like Stephenie Lagrossa in that picture below? Both their smiles look remarkably similar!) Beginning of Live Chat. Episode synopsis reads like this: Castaways compete in their first individual immunity challenge in the game; Erika is on Exile Island for two days and must make the biggest decision in the game thus far. Raise your hand if you think there is even the slightest chance in the world that Erica WON'T use that advantage. The more I've thought and read about it, the more firmly I am on the "No chance she won't" side. What will it hurt her to use it? The theory from RHAP's "Know-It-All"s (well, half of the know-it-alls. Stephen missed this week for his little baby girl's birthday. That's sweet: it made me smile) and replacement guest Lauren (from "Island of the Idols"): Erica will use it, realizing that she has no future with Luvu. Now the former blue tribe will be at risk, and all the people Erica just saved will be so grateful that they will join together to vote out her arch-rival Sydney. That's only a theory; not a spoiler. But it sounds like a rational one to me - and if it's correct, Sydney could be in real trouble. Anyone?
The above comment was from Sunday morning. Hmmm.... I'm not really sure I have an NGH in me this morning. Who else is at risk if Erica uses this advantage? Well, most of Luvu: Danny, Dashawn, Naseer and Sydney. Also Evvie and Ricard. The only Blue on the other side is Heather. So far, she's has had zero impact on the game; I doubt anyone will start listening to her now. Shan, in an only two-person alliance, would want to protect Ricard (even though we now know she doesn't trust him). Tiffany and Liana would want to protect Evvie. I guess it WOULD end up being Erica with the upper hand in choosing tonight's target. Hmmm... okay, I still say that Lauren and Rob C have guessed right. If Erica's the one who saves them all, everyone should defer to her just to finally get rid of ONE Luvu - and for sure Erica would pick Sydney. Or... perhaps the "women's alliance" ladies will speak up and talk Erica into ditching one of the guys just for being a guy? They all know Naseer has an idol - but he's so loveable, Liana could be convinced not to take his from him. So.... Danny maybe? DaShawn, since he has been gunning so hard for Erica (willing to throw challenges to get her out)? Hmm..... Nope. Got nothing. I'm about to be late and I don't want to be. If WM has a good NGH to add, please.. do it! Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? |
