Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! And of course, me, Catlover04! Good morning RTV people, Hope you are well on this fine Sunday morning! Does anyone here have the "Decades" channel? For those who love classic TV, it is a treasure trove of classic TV, done by the decades. I don't think it was one that I could access with the antenna (when it was actually working!) but it appears as a sub-channel on your local TV, sponsored by the Weigels. I receive it on my Frndly app - and I cannot seem to disengage with it! Bunny trail: our family took Hulu Live to get sports for hubby. I dropped Frndly for a while when Hallmarks showed up on Hulu, and I found I could access Great American in an "entertainment add-on" with Hulu. But the only two "add-on" channels I ever wanted to use were GAF and Magnolia. Frndly does not have Magnolia - and I'm sure they won't get it, as it would cost them too much and their goal is to keep everything cheap and affordable. But the line up on Frndly has FAR more in it that I would actually use - more than that add-on could ever offer me for the same price (probably a bit less, since I took a discount to do the annual). So I ditched the "add-on" and took Frndly back - like the wonderful old friend that it is! Okay, I bunny trailed. To return to the point: the Decades channel is pretty great for those who enjoy reliving the past. And if you've ever wondered why I love the old show "Early Edition", here's your chance to find out: that series is available on Decades. Kyle Chandler (before he found fame with "Friday Night Lights"), was Gary Hobson - a man who gets tomorrow's newspaper delivered to him one day early, each morning via a beautiful orange cat. It's still one of my favorite TV shows of all time. I have the complete five-season series on DVD, but it's fun to catch random episodes now and then on Decades. Last night's GAF movie was a pretty great one. Did anyone else catch it? Called "Romantic Rewrite", it starred Christina Cole and Russell Quinn. A talented romance book editor is tasked with helping a mystery writer incorporate romance into the next book in his best-selling series. He volunteers to be her "faux date" for her best friend’s beach wedding in return for her editing skills. This was the first of three new movies presented by GAF Family in the "Valentine" month of February. I found it a really fun one. Sunday, February 5th Nothing chat worthy here.... so, "The Chosen", Season 3 Episode 7 live stream at 7 pm This is where I will be at seven pm. Two episodes left: one tonight, and the finale on Tuesday. "Australian Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains" Week 2 Week one was a great start to what I'm sure will be a very fun season. I'm hearing from my Australian correspondent (DNA42) that week two might actually begin tonight for four episodes, Sunday to Wednesday. If that IS the case, and we wanted to work in episode four tonight, that would be okay. I might not be available until about 9 pm, but for one episode, that would work. Of course, that would mean me putting off this.... "The Way Home: What's My Age, Again?", Season 1, Episode 4, 9 pm on Hallmark Alice double dates with her parents as teens; Kat's first visit to the past brings a surprising discovery; Del swallows her pride to ask for help. .... until later, but I'd be okay with that. I must say I really do love this show so far. Anyone else watching? Monday, February 6th "The Bachelor: Zach", Season 27 Episode 3, 8 to 10 pm on ABC During a crucial week, Zach takes two lucky women on jaw-dropping one-on-one dates featuring prehistoric creatures and a romantic musical performance. The previews hinted that the season 27 villain will be confirmed tonight - and country singer Barbara Mandrell may NOT be happy with her niece's behaviour! "Alert: Missing Persons Unit, Tim and Amy " Season 1 Episode 6, 9 pm on Fox Jason and Mike search the Allegheny Mountains for a missing couple; Keith bonds with a patient at a trauma therapy group. Still something fishy about Keith.... but he has convinced them all (well, except sister Sydney) that he really is Keith after a DNA test seems to have proved it. I still have my doubts. How you fake a DNA test, I don't know (hell, I didn't know you could "fake" diabetes until I watched "Prison Break"!) This is a show worth watching for me. I've been enjoying it a lot. "Quantum Leap: Let Them Play", Season 1 Episode 12, 10 pm on NBC Ben finds himself in 2012 in the midst of the Méndez family as they help their transgender daughter who dreams of playing on her high school basketball team; Magic and Jenn discover another piece of the puzzle of why Ben leapt in the first place. The Ben puzzle is slowly being revealed; but don't expect a resolution this season... or next.... Tuesday, January 9th Nothing I care to chat on this night... so might be a good night to work in some "Australian Survivor". Huh? No "Rookie"? "Will Trent"? "La Brea"? Or is the US "State of the Union" address taking over all network TV? Wednesday, January 8th New Comedy Alert! "Not Dead Yet", Season 1 Premiere, 8:30 pm on ABC with Episode 2 at 9:30 pm. Nell attempts to restart her life in a new place with a new job writing obituaries at the local paper and a new roommate; Nell receives life advice from an unlikely source. ABC's version of a ghost story in comedy form. Looks pretty funny. I will more than likely check this one out. Weird that they have the premiere on at 8:30. Then episode 2 at 9:30, with "Abbott Elementary" sandwiched in between. "The Ark: Like It Touched The Son", Season 1 Episode 2 The crew struggles to establish order; investigations uncover more questions than answers. Did anyone catch the premiere last week? I forgot to, but I do plan to check it out at least once. Thursday, February 9th "Ghosts: Trevor's Body", Season 2 Episode 14, 8:30 pm on CBS Trevor receives disturbing news about his parents when they come to collect his newly discovered remains; Isaac and Nigel's relationship hits a roadblock. Wait, didn't Trevor die in eighties? Did we know his remains were never recovered at the time of his death? This is news to me. "So Help Me Todd: Wall of Fire", Season 1 Episode 13, 9 pm on CBS When Todd agrees to help Susan's fiancé locate a missing employee, he stumbles into a case Margaret agreed to co-counsel with Gus. Todd finally meets Susan's fiance, the one he was starting to think didn't really exist? All I really know for sure is that this show is getting a second season #YAY, and that Allison is NOT fine, no matter how much she tries to sell that she is. Friday, February 10th Another good "Australian Survivor" night for whatever episodes we don't make it to before now. These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments.
