Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Hello RTV people, Before we do anything else, let me just say... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Windbag Mark! I did do a "birthday party page for him yesterday - after a few people had acknowledged it on the Daily Page! Here is the link, if you are interested. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WINDBAG MARK!! - RTV Fanatics Unite (weebly.com) Sorry I was so late with it. It was about 8 pm - so late that not even WM found it before the day was over. Still, it is the thought that counts, right (absolutely!) I knew it was this weekend. In fact, I looked up the date a couple of days ago but somehow I thought the 22nd was Sunday. So I missed it... whoops. Believe me, the oversite was not intentional. Windbag Mark remains a very important part of our world here and a very dear friend to me. And frankly, if you asked him, he'd probably rather we DIDN'T make a big deal (you know me well!) Anyway, hoping your day was a good one, WM. Moving on.... Not a lot of good TV this week. Let's see what we have: Sunday, May 23rd "American Idol: Finale" Season 19 Episode 19, 8 pm on ABC The top three finalists perform and the winner is announced; scheduled performers include Lindsey Buckingham, Alessia Cara, Luke Combs, Sheryl Crow, Fall Out Boy, Mickey Guyton, Chaka Khan, Leona Lewis and Macklemore. I never got around to watching the entire episode last week after blowing it off for "Zoey", but I did watch the performances. Sadly, it was Casey Bishop who was sent home... awwww! I'm unhappy about this. I really liked Casey a lot. And just look at her: she looks the part of a pop star and has the voice to back it up. Sorry to see her go. THAT means our final three are: Willie Spence, Grace Kinstler and Chayce Beckham. Honestly, not at all surprised at these three being in the finale. Who do I think will win? Not at all sure. All three really are great. Will have to watch to find out, I guess. Monday, May 24th "The Voice: Live Finale Part 1", Season 20 Episode 17 In the final phase of the competition, the remaining artists each perform a ballad and an up-tempo cover song in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton to compete for the title of "The Voice". I'm not nearly as well-versed on this one. Didn't keep up with it at all. Will I watch anyway? Maybe. Tuesday, May 25th "The Voice" Finale Part 2 at 8 pm to 10 pm Host Carson Daly reveals who America has chosen to be the winner; the star-studded finale features special performances by chart-topping artists and finalist/coach duets with coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton. "The Voice" is causing a bit of a roadblock for "This Is Us" though. The two hour finale causes TIU to be pushed to 10 pm. How will that affect our chat, I wonder? "This Is Us: The Andirondacks" Season 5 Episode 16, 10 pm on NBC **One hour later than normal at 10 pm due to "The Voice" Finale. Sorry, folks. Blame NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: "The family gathers for Kevin and Madison's wedding." Of course, the season will end with Kevin's wedding setting us up for the Sixth and final season of This Is Us. Aww. Maybe they will change their mind. :-}} (Not at all likely. This was the producers' plan, right from the very conception of the show. They should be admired for sticking to their original vision) Wednesday, May 26th "The Masked Singer: Finale" Season 5, Episode 13, 8 pm on Fox All three remaining singers perform and are unmasked, but only one is awarded the Golden Mask Trophy. Our final three are: the Pig, the Chameleon, and the Black Swan. Who are you rooting for, WM and Ali? Either the Pig or Black Swan for me. All that "rapping" from Chameleon... heh. "Crime Scene Kitchen" Premiere, 9 pm on Fox NEW COOKING SHOW ALERT! Bakers must decode what type of dessert was made using just the leftover crumbs, flour trails and a few elusive clues, then re-create the recipe for celebrity judges chef Curtis Stone and cake artist Yolanda Gamppp; hosted by Joel McHale. I don't know why, but this show look fun to me. Might have to check it out. Anyone interested? Thursday, May 27th Not seeing anything chat worthy here..... ("Manifest" is over? I thought there were three episodes left? Is something taking its place for this night only?) Friday, May 28th ... nor here. Let me take a sec to look ahead to next week.. Hmm, let's see.... "American Ninja Warrior" is starting on Monday, May 31st. "America's Got Talent" is starting on Tuesday, June 1st. There is a repeat of "To Tell The Truth" at 10 pm but I think the new season is set to start on June 7th. A new season - finally! - of "Masterchef" will begin on Wednesday, June 2nd. A new season of "Beat Shazamm" begins on Thursday, June 3rd; however, there is a new "Manifest" on at the same time so will probably wait to watch. Also, not listed on Zap2It, but June 3rd is the date that the new season of Survivor South Africa will start. Will probably not be able to get a link until Friday. Not sure I'll be available on that Friday though. Maybe Saturday, if anyone wants to watch and will be available, but I know Saturdays are hard. Anyway, these are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. Have a fantastic Sunday!
