Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And of course me, Catlover04! Good morning, RTV People How are you on this fine, sunny and a lot more pleasant than it has been Sunday morning. We had some gorgeous weather yesterday. Not in the 90's making it a perfect middle of the city beach day for WM. But a pleasant 82, giving me a great opportunity for a nice walk outside. Loved it! A sign that Fall is right around the corner. And with it, a very meager Fall TV Line up. This too shall pass, I guess. But while we wait, we do have several choices. Choice number 1, lots of past TV I've missed that I could just continue catching up on. And probably will. Lately, I've been enjoying Season 1 of "Suits". "Burn Notice" is getting some attention. "Death In Paradise" which is on my newly acquired "Britbox" app, an app I might keep for a while. Lots of great British TV mystery shows. "Blue Bloods". An occasional episode here and there. Choice Number 2., international TV. I've currently been enjoying the new seasons of both "Traitors Australia" and "Traitors New Zealand" and wishing I had someone to chat with about it. But alas, not happening right now. I will tell you, the links I've been using for NZ on Dailymotion have been excellent. If anyone chooses to check it out, let me know... please. I'd spend some time re-watching just to chat with someone about it. Choice number 3, Streaming site original shows maybe? I hear there is a new season of Virgin River right around the corner. Will have to take a closer look at Streaming site originals. Choice number 4, turn off the TV and read a good book or take a long walk with an audiobook, something I like to do sometimes. Or better yet, spend more time interacting with the family! All is not lost. For those of us who enjoy the occasional RTV, there ARE some good upcoming options. I mean... let's all recall this little site was born out of a mutual love for "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race", specifically. And for the first time in the two show's history, we are getting extended, 90-minute episodes. And let's do not forget Great American Family, Hallmark, and UpTV for those wonderful Fall and Christmas Rom Com offerings. Something to look forward to for ME. TV Line, every season, does a nice little Calendar which highlights the TV Schedule Calendar for the upcoming season. Thank you to the good folks at TV Line for making a great calendar like this. It's not giving us Premiere dates, but it is still very useful. But check out Wednesday. I swear my theory is they put all the good shows on Wednesday to keep people out of Church. I should defy them all and go to Church anyway! Maybe I will. Seriously, everything I have been looking forward to come fall are scheduled for Wednesday night. So annoying.... big sigh... anyway moving on.... Every year, I do a Fall TV preview page mainly highlighting anything I think we might get a good chat going for. I know... I said I'd be doing that yesterday. But the call of a walk outside happened, and I never got to it. Today, this will be my project. I'll post it, with a link in the comments, as soon as I get it completed. So, what about our upcoming TV Week? Sunday, September 3rd "The Chosen: I am HE" Season 1 Episode 8, 8 pm to 9:30 pm on the CW Jesus and His students complete their preparations and leave Capernaum for Samaria; Jesus meets with a suffering woman at Jacob's well and announces that He is the Messiah. The final episode of Season 1 which ends with an important moment with the "woman at the well". Then, next week will be the premiere of Season 2. "Big Brother", Season 25, Episode 14, 8 pm on CBS WM? No, The Challenge USA tonight? I don't see one scheduled. "When Calls The Heart: The Heart of the Problem", Season 10 Episode 6, 9 pm on Hallmark. Rosemary and Lee's baby brings up memories of Rosemary's own mother and questions about her past. Meanwhile, the kids feel left out of the hot springs with all the tourists. I don't know about other fans of this show, but I have had a feeling that this woman is up to no good. Am I right and she will be exposed soon? Or am I wrong, and she is being set up as a "love interest" for Bill? Time will tell, I guess. Monday, September 4th Wide open! I know I will have some family stuff this day anyway. And a need to mentally prepare for a busy Tuesday. So it might not be a bad thing for me. Tuesday, September 5th "The Amazing Race Canada" This hasn't ended yet, right? I will probably work in both Traitor's Australia episodes here. Wednesday, September 6th "Big Brother", Season 25, Episode 15, 8 pm on CBS WM? "Masterchef United Tastes of America: Patio Grilling Challenge and The Wall" Season 21, Episode 15 and 16 at 8 pm on Fox The remaining nine home cooks must prepare a restaurant quality barbecue plate; the chef with immunity must pair contestants to cook on opposite sides of a wall, where they must rely on great communication to save themselves from elimination. At least we have two new episodes of this fun show. On Wednesday.... of course. Thursday, September 7th "Big Brother", Season 25, Episode 16, 9 pm on CB WM? "The Challenge USA: Independence Day" Season 2 Episode 8, 10 pm on CBS The game takes a dramatic turn when TJ announces that teams are no more, strategy shifts for several players, and a shocking draw from the hopper forces two rideordie allies to go headtohead in one of the most grueling eliminations yet. I've lost track of this one. WM? I'll have two episodes of Traitors NZ on this night. Friday, September 8th Hey, Star Trek Fans, looks like CBS is filling up some of THEIR dead time with a Paramount Plus Star Trek original.... "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds", 8 pm on CBS - the first two episodes of Season 1. When one of Pike's officers goes missing while on a secret mission for Starfleet, Pike has to come out of self-imposed exile; he must navigate how to rescue his officer, while struggling with what to do with the vision of the future he's been given. I've seen a couple of these and keep meaning to get back to it but... alas.. have not. Maybe I'll watch this one as it airs. Anyone interested? Will be working on the Fall 2023 Preview page later today. These are my rat musings for the day. If anyone has anything to add, please do so in the comments.
