Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good Morning, RTV people! Just spent a good fifteen minutes typing some detail into this page... then Weebly kicked me out! Made me log back in and I lost it all. Big sigh. Nothing like starting all over again. Am I annoyed? Yep... very much so. Heh. But it DID give me something to open with here. I was saving this part till last, hoping that typing through the detail would give me some kind of inspiration. Nope. Inspiration to whine is what it did. I guess most of you know we now have a cast list for "Survivor 41". Premiere date is September 22nd. I will be back from my trip by then so should no issue with the premiere. What do you all think of the new cast? I haven't yet had a chance to look any deeper than the quick bios I read - so mind not made up about any of them yet. Life will slow down again for me soon... I promise. Until then, I'll keep doing the best I can to keep up. Moving on to our TV week (that I will now have to re-do, since a bunch of it was done but lost when Weebly glitched on me! Grrr......) Sunday, September 5th "Big Brother" Season 23, Episode 26, 8 pm on CBS Who won the "Hanging" challenge (left still-in-progress Thursday night) will determine how the week will go. Continued domination by the CookOut, or can an outcast throw a wrench into their plans? Find out tonight! "Australian Survivor: Brains Vs. Brawn" Episode 22, Group Watch at 9 pm We are down to final five and somehow cockroach George has not yet been squashed. Our favorite, Haley, has proven time and again how easy it is for her to look one straight in the eye and lie so believably, so convincingly, that despite the fact that she's flipped on them all more than once, they believe her. Australian Survivor synopsis: There two main players; one with a strategic brain and an ability to spew lies with great ease - but with the world's most annoying personality and despised by all. And yet, for some reason, everyone believe even when they know they shouldn't. Player number two has a strategic brain and the ability to spew lies with great ease - but with a fun personality and liked by all - to the point that they believe her even when they know they shouldn't. Note the similarity in both their games. I have to believe if it comes down to the two of them, Haley wins hands down. She has a great case to make for herself and she is well-liked. Even last evictee Dani, who has referred to her as her "arch nemesis", spoke with some real respect for Haley's game during her Jury Villa. But does George also have a great case to make for himself? Yep, he sure does. And when the game began, NO ONE would have ever believed he would still be in the game at final five. We will see how it turns out. I think we have four episodes left: three this week, and the finale next Sunday, (which I WILL be here for). I THINK it's the finale - but not sure. Anyway, tonight's fun starts at 9 pm. Page has already been done. I'll send links out as soon as they become available. Monday, September 6th "Bachelor In Paradise?" Season 7 Episode 6, 8 pm on ABC Joe comes face-to-face with the woman who broke his heart; Natasha and Brendan start to move in the right direction, but just as Natasha feels the spark heat up, another familiar face makes her appearance. I know nothing. Don't let "Brendan / Natasha" red herringing fool you: this week will be ALL about Kendra confronting Joe for the first time since their break up. The show has been leadingup to this all season long! "The Ultimate Surfer: A Little Game of This", Season 1 Episode 5, 10 pm on ABC The surfers are greeted by some old friends who force them to up their game; new teams get a second chance at redemption, but old alliances could hinder their progress; four teams enter the wildcard wave challenge. Now that I've watched four episodes, I'm glad I stuck it out: I'll finish the season for sure. Based on the promos, I was worried that it might be more about relationships than surfing. Nothing to worry about; that's not the case. at all. I've been enjoying it a lot. Surfing is an interesting, fun-to-watch sport. And every one of these contestants would make a great Survivor player. Heh. Tuesday, September 7th "America's Got Talent - Semi-Final 2", 8 pm on NBC Last weeks' "semi final" was a huge disappointment. Oh, I'm sure I'll watch: only a couple of episodes left. But they really do need to find a way to breathe some new life into this show, or they'll lose their audience out of sheer boredom. heh. "Bachelor In Paradise?" Season 7 Episode 7, 8 pm on ABC Guest host Tituss Burgess storms the beach, ready to shake things up by throwing an exclusive welcome party that stirs up more drama than Wells does drinks; Olivia Holt performs. No idea.....Ali? Feel free to jump in. "The Ultimate Surfer: Will You Accept This Wave?", Season 1 Episode 6, 10 pm on ABC The eight remaining surfers give surfing lessons to Bachelor Nation fan favorites Hannah Ann Sluss and Mike Johnson; the surfers light up the night with a beach party and nighttime surf session under the moonlight. Well, in spite of every one seemingly capable of being a great "Survivor" player, instead they gear them for "The Bachelor". And YES, right after singing the praises of this show - I have to endure "Bachelor Nation" people infiltrating for an episode! I suppose I should have seen this coming, with all the "Bachelor" references (the ones that almost made me stay away) in the premiere episode. No, this show really has not been "Bachelor" like at all. However, I think I should skip this and "on demand" it later, in order to catch this.... "Australian Survivor: Brains Vs. Brawn" Episode 24, Group Watch at 10 pm Since Thursday is such a busy night.. I think we should get this worked in at 10 pm tonight. Do you all agree? Wednesday, September 8th "Big Brother" Season 23 Episode 27, 8 pm on CBS Veto night: do the people on the block stay the same, or is there a back-door plan in operation? Tune in to find out! "Masterchef Legends: Legends: Semi Final -- 3 Chef Showdown; Semi Final Pt. 2 -- 3 Chef Showdown ", Season 18 Episode 14, 8 pm on Fox The remaining four semifinalists tackle a brand-new culinary triathlon that sees the home cooks making three dishes back-to-back alongside three different legendary chefs: Nyesha Arrington, Suzette Gresham and chef Ramsay himself. I think there are only a couple of episodes left. And once again, they are showing an 8 pm Thursday episode. I'm not falling for it this time. For some reason, they are feeling the need to try to throw me off their schedule, week after week. Nice try but nope. Fool me once... well, you know how the saying goes. "Australian Survivor: Brains Vs. Brawn" Episode 24, Group Watch at 10 pm The final episode of the week should be done tonight right after "Masterchef" at 10 pm. That way we can keep everyone open for Thursday fun. Thursday, September 9th "Big Brother" Season 23 Episode 28, 8 pm on CBS Ready for this, house? Double eviction night! Will this thrown everything into turmoil? And will it do it even more when there is ANOTHER one again NEXT week? Wow, talk about expecting the unexpected! "Holey Moley: The Classic Dipsey-Doodle", 8 pm on ABC Finally, a new episode of this fun little show. It's been a couple of weeks now.... An open hour in between, but then..... "The Hustler: A Real Imposter At Work", 10 pm on ABC Motorcycles and moon cycles are clues to discovering the hustler. Another fun show, even though I routinely guess wrong. Heh. Friday, September 10th "Survivor South Africa" Episode 24 Group Watch, 8 pm ish. With the loss of Kiran, I feel like Chappies' chances for a win increased by a pretty large percentage. He will have to continue his immunity win run to protect himself for sure, but it IS doable. Kiran was his biggest threat there, and now he is gone; Tyson is injured, and Smash is quite inept at challenges (his chances of victory are always low). As for Nicole, she can be a strong competitor: the right challenge and she could give Chappies a run for his money (especially if she takes the advice of host Nico and finds a crab leg or two to enjoy. Heh). This is the show I think I may have a conflict with the finale schedule. Not sure if next week's episode is the finale - but since we are at finale four, I suppose it's possible. Not sure how they do it in South Africa. Really hoping I can wrap up both "Survivor" shows before my trip: I don't have to make you all wait for me to return to finish. As soon as I figure it out, promise I'll let you all know. Running late so will end it here. These are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. Have a fantastic Sunday!
