Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! OOPS... didn't put anything HERE. WM, feel free to add some kind of funny/inspirational/goofy heading if you want..... Nothing goofy, just a sincere word that we missed you greatly this week Catlover, and the site is just not the same without you. But family should always take priority over any website, and we are all happy you got this chance to travel far west and visit your father. We know "mom" is experiencing the start of her own empty nest syndrome - perhaps the best solution to that is to switch from "mom" to "daughter" and let dad know that you have love to share with all generations of the Catlover family! Sunday, September 19th To kick off fall Premiere week... "The 73rd Emmy Awards" Not a fan of awards shows (as you all know) but feel free to create a space for a chat if you want. Monday, September 20th So much to be found on a Monday! I'm snubbing DWTS (still protesting the loss of Tom and Erin; didn't watch last season beyond episode one. Not going to watch this season at all.) But there are so many OTHER great options: let's check it out! ***This is "travel home" day for me. And my flight doesn't get in until about 7 pm so I'm sure I won't be available for any chatting. I'll let you all decide what pages you are interested in setting up. "The Voice", Season 21 Premiere, 8 pm on NBC For season 21, Nick Jonas has stepped away (awwwwwww), to be replaced with Ariana Grande. You know, Frankie's "far more famous than him" sister. Something of a "sentimental" pick for me: both daughters loved the show that made her famous on Nickelodeon called "Victorious" (she was a pink-haired songstress with a cute personality). A few years later, both the pink hair and the two Nick shows, are gone, replaced with a thriving career as a singer. Now she will try her hand as a coach on "The Voice". We'll see how she does. But I will miss Nick. Several scripted shows of interest. It has been my habit to mention everything to see what people find an interest in. So here is the list: "911: Panic", Season 5 Premiere, 8 pm on Fox
"The Big Leap" Season 1 Premiere, 9 pm on Fox
"NCIS Hawaii" Season 1 Premiere, 10 pm on CBS
"Ordinary Joe", Season 1 Episode 2 Premiere
Tuesday, September 21st. "Bachelor In Paradise" Season 7, Episode 9, 8 pm on ABC Anyone care to comment? Winding down; now only on once a week, not twice. "The Ultimate Surfer: Season Finale" Season 1, 10 pm on ABC Two men and two women meet in the final showdown; surfing champion Kelly Slater surprises the finalists with a coaching session; one man and one woman are crowned the winners and receive the $100,000 grand prize. For the most part, I have enjoyed this fun little show. I won't be crushed if there is no second season, but I have enjoyed the while it lasted. We will see what happens. "The Voice" Season 21 Episode 2... 8 pm on NBC. Night two of the first week of "The Voice". Hopefully, I'll get to watch the premier before this one airs. CBS is full of FBI shows; three different incarnations. I've never needed a one of them; not a single episode. Has anyone watched?
On the medical show front, there are two premiering tonight:
Wednesday, September 22nd. Finally! The long anticipated .... "Survivor 41" Premiere, 8 pm on CBS For some of us - those brave enough to dive into "international Survivor" - this is the icing on the Survivor cake: the long-awaited US version begins just as the South Africa and Aussie seasons finish. "Survivor" has the BIGGEST potential to call back some of our long-absent previous participants. Have you all checked out the cast? Who do you like? Who do you feel will be the seasons villains? It's always fun to guess. However, I just plain do not have the time to hunt down the teasers. If anyone spots any teaser articles (particularly Dalton Ross ones) please feel free to post them on the Survivor page. I know the effort will be much appreciated. "Come on in, guys!" The time is right for a brand new season of Survivor! 8 pm on Wednesday! "Big Brother" Season 23 Episode 33, 10 pm on CBS Not the finale? Nope, one more week left! For once, these two CBS reality shows will not both debut AND finish on the same night! Let's not forget FOX and the "MASKED" shows!
"The Goldbergs: Tribute to Grandpa", Season 9 Episode 1, 8 pm on ABC I know no one but me follows this fun little show but I have a reason to mention this: George Segal. Here's the episode synopsis: "The family pays tribute to Pops, venturing down memory lane by visiting Pops' favorite stomping grounds; Adam films the outing, giving it a "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" theme." George Segal passed away in March, leaving a large hole in this show's cast. Pops will be sorely missed and I think it is nice they are opening this season with a "tribute" to him. "The Wonder Years", Season 1 Premiere, follows at 8:30 pm on ABC I mention this because some have shown interest. I can't find the enthusiasm despite the presence of Dule Hill, who I absolutely LOVED on "Psyche". Such a funny man he is; trying to imagine him as a stodgy, work-worn man with no sense of humor that Kevin Arnold's dad was. It's set in 1969 Montgomery Alabama; still a "coming of age" comedy. Fred Savage (the beloved original Kevin Arnold from the first series) will be directing. Still, I loved the original show so much - this is inspiring me to rewatch THAT instead of diving into this new show. We'll see. Revisiting the original show might be FUN. First episode synopsis reads like this: "Struggling to figure out where he fits in, Dean decides to pursue his calling as "The Great Uniter" and attempts to organize the first integrated baseball game between his team and his friend Brad's team." Thursday, September 23rd Finale night of our two Thursday summer fun shows.
"Big Brother" Season 23 Episode 34, 8 pm on CBS STILL... not the finale? This eviction will leave the three house guests required to begin the finale! Also, the second night of both "The Masked Singer" at 8 pm and "Alter Ego" at 9 pm on Fox. Friday, September 24th Oh dear, a problem with the idea I was having for Survivor finales: "Big Brother" Season 23 Episode 35, 8 pm on CBS What the heck is a BB episode doing on Friday? Seriously..... Not a problem, Catlover. This Friday is a "walk down memory lane" episode (what "Survivor" used to call "clip shows"). I think I speak for whimsicali too when I say we'd MUCH prefer to watch International Survivor season finales! I was going to suggest back-to-back finale watches of... ... beginning at 8 pm. I guess it will have to wait till 9 pm and maybe spill into Saturday. If only I hadn't hadn't chosen THIS week for my trip. OH well.... Might work, but I assume BOTH shows will be two hours long? That makes four hours of Survivor on Friday - past midnight, since no matter how hard we try, we NEVER begin exactly at eight. Any opinions will be welcome, though if we are going to wait until all of us are free I can't see doing it before this day. These are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. Have a fantastic Sunday!
