Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good morning RTV people, I was in the middle of doing this page last night when I remembered - at 11 pm - that I was planning to make my fall favorite "Pumpkin Muffins" to take to Grandma's house today. Who in their right mind makes cupcakes at 11 pm? Well, I do, I guess, since I was needing to work on this anyway. When autumn comes around, all I need is a batch of pumpkin muffins and a big pot of chili. Yum! The perfect fall meal! I love fall. I love everything about fall. Cooler temperatures that allow you to walk outside without breaking into a sweat. An excuse to pull out all your fall sweaters. I'm such a sweater person - who needs a winter coat when you have plenty of sweater jackets? That works best in North Carolina - probably not so much up in Canada. Heh. Right WM? (Sweater jackets have a short time frame up here!) Anyway, I'm so very much enjoying this change in the weather - except that any change in weather causes my allergies to act up for a couple of weeks. But once I adjust, I'm okay. One more thing to look forward to when fall hits, is the new fall TV schedule. So let's dive in and see what is on tap for the week: Sunday, September 26th "Big Brother" Season 23 Episode 36, 8 pm on CBS WM? After Friday night's "clip show", the game continues. We're down to the final three competing to see who wins the final two-part HOH comp and decideing who they will sit beside for the season final. No spoiler to say that the odds of Xavier NOT being one of them are very slim indeed. "The Rookie: Live and Death", Season 4 premiere, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: Officer Nolan and the entire team race against the clock to locate Lopez after she is kidnapped on her wedding day, not only to save her life but her unborn child's. Now that we are in season four: they are not ROOKIES anymore! I recall there was talk of Nolan wanting to TRAIN rookies. Not sure how that worked out. I guess we will find out on the season four premiere of "The Rookie". Monday, September 27th "The Voice: Auditions Part Three", Season 21 Episode 3, 8 pm on NBC This time, I do intend to really watch. From the beginning. No distractions. Maybe.... No, I really do want to enjoy the show this time. Every season there seems to be some distraction. I've "hit-and-miss" watched the last two years but this time I really do wish to follow it to the end. Really. Arianna is actually a pretty good coach. She's cute. She has some great input and far more experience than I knew about. She doesn't just sing: she writes, she produces, she has much knowledge. And she is able to do complicated math problems quickly! For example, on the last episode, she calculated that even though Blake has had eight wins and Kelly has only had three, Kelly actually has a higher PERCENTAGE of wins because Blake has been there for twenty seasons and Kelly has only been there for seven. So this proves that Kelly is actually a more successful coach than Blake. HA! Take that, Blake. Also, apparently all who enter the room want Arianna as their coach. Heh. The other three had better watch out! "The Big Leap: Classic, Tragic Love Triangle" Season 1 Episode 2, 9 pm on Fox Episode synopsis reads like this: With auditions beginning for the three lead roles, tensions rise as the contestants all vie for the same parts; Gabby confronts Nick about his purposeful manipulation of the show; Mike accidentally reveals a huge secret to Nick and the producers. This show is a distraction for "The Voice" though. A couple of us chatted it last week. Ali liked it more than I did, but I do plan to follow it; just not at the expense of "The Voice". Let me know if we need to make chat pages available. If it turns out that no one is chatting "The Voice" with me, I would be open to switching to this mid-show then finishing "The Voice" after... well, after this.... "Ordinary Joe: Requiem", Season 1 Episode 2, 10 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: With the anniversary of 9/11 approaching, all three Joes grapple with the emotions that come with the day; Cop Joe and Amy pursue a romance, but Music Joe and Amy's marriage is clouded by a big secret; Nurse Joe and Jenny have a breakthrough. LOVED this show's premiere and will need to catch it on time this week. We seem to have a few who like it so I'll do a chat page this week. However, as I mentioned on last week's page, this will be one of those "chat mostly during commercials" shows, as it does require actually complete undivided attention to follow it well. "The Good Doctor: New Beginnings", Season 5 Episode 1, 10 pm on ABC Thought I'd give this one a mention. Even though I haven't watched since about season two, I know a few of you do. Episode synopsis reads like this: Shaun and Lea's upcoming engagement party has everyone in a festive mood; a young single mother learns her son may have contracted his cancer from a surprising source; Mateo finds out if his previous issues in America will be resolved. Tuesday, September 28th "Bachelor In Paradise" Season 7, Episode 10, 8 pm on ABC Anyone care to comment? "The Voice: Auditions" Season 21 Episode 4, 8 pm on NBC Second episode of the week; audition phase continues for just one hour tonight. I'll just use Monday's chat page. We will see if anyone care to join me. "La Brea: Pilot", Season 1 Episode 1, 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: When a massive sinkhole opens in Los Angeles, the Harris family is split in two; Eve and her son are sent to a mysterious primeval world; Gavin discovers that the visions that have plagued him for years might hold the key to bringing them home. Another new one I kind of want to check out. Let me know if anyone is interested in watching with me. I will do a chat page and we'll see who shows up. "The Resident: No Good Deed", Season 5 Episode 2, 8 pm on Fox Episode synopsis reads like this: When one of the doctors is found unconscious in an elevator at Chastain, the staff frantically retraces his steps to figure out the cause; Bell helps Kit make a decision about a new neurosurgeon joining the team at Chastain. Truly love this show. The premiere was excellent; looking forward to more. Anyone else catch the premiere? Really miss Nic.... "New Amsterdam: We're In This Together" Season 4 Episode 2, 10 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: Max and Sharpe go public with their relationship at the hospital; the team struggles to keep a handle on an overcrowded and understaffed ICU and everyone must pitch in; Iggy's overly critical feedback alienates his residents. I know we have a couple of fans of this one too. Wednesday, September 29th "Survivor 41: Juggling Chainsaws", Season 41 Episode 2, 8 pm on CBS Episode synopsis reads like this: Immunity challenges get interesting when a new idol is introduced that has a special twist. Oh look: New idol. New twist. Those of us who watched "Australian Survivor" might feel a bit burned by twists. Watch out, cast: you never know when an unexpected twist will bite your game in the butt. (Also, we know CBS has been overhyping this as "The most dangerous Survivor ever!".... could that mean the title "Juggling Chainsaws" might be meant literally?) "Big Brother" Season 23 Finale, Episode 37, 9 pm on CBS WM? Corrected the time for you, Catlover: tonight's finale starts at nine o'clock, right after "Survivor", since it's one of the dreaded two-hour ones. That means filler galore (sometimes even ONE hour finales have filler galore!) Still, history will be made with the first ever Black winner on "Big Brother". "The Masked Singer: Group B Premiere" , Season 6 Episode 3, 8 pm on Fox Did you guys ever catch up week one? I did... but am reluctant to post any pics so as not to spoil. The problem of when to work this in is still waiting to be resolved. Except... The "hamster" is really cute - and the Big Baby is really... I don't know... creepy. Heh. But also cute. Thursday, September 30th I suppose that we could do some "The Masked Singer" tonight. I don't think I see anything pressing that would hinder this - at least at 8 pm or 9 pm. However.... "Big Sky: Wakey, Wakey", Season 2 Episode 1, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: After Ronald's escape, Cassie distracts herself with work; Jenny, recovering from her near-death experience, decides to take Sheriff Tubb up on his offer for her to rejoin the force; Ronald is wrapped up in something he can't get out of. I know some of you will not want to miss this. I admit, I sort of regret I didn't follow with you. Hmm. Shall I catch up and join in - despite the fact that WM insists I shouldn't? (We don't think it's your "cup of tea", but only you can make that decision, Catlover. Watching a few "catch up" episodes might let you definitively decide if you want to continue into season two (or as we took to calling them, "semester three"). We'll see. Friday, October 1st Friday is the night I traditionally keep open for Survivor rewatches or something of that nature. I have no plans for anything like that right now; however, I'm open. We could take a few weeks off for now since we've just finished all the international finales. I'm still open. And we've been posting this week that Paramount Plus will begin offering past seasons of "Australian Survivor" and some of these seasons are truly great ones. Just let me know if anyone has any thoughts on this subject of "rewatches". How I wish that Netflix in Canada had "LOST". I'd convince WM to go there with me as I know he has never seen it but would love all those wonderful moments with Vincent ("Go back, Vincent! Go back!!) My streaming choice for right now, though.. is not on Netflix but on Disney Plus. I've mentioned this before I know.. but "Turner and Hooch" is the reboot I didn't know I needed but am so glad I have! It's truly a lot of fun. If anyone has Disney Plus, highly recommend this one. Especially if you are a pet lover who likes cop shows. Well, he's technically a "marshall". If there was ever a show like this that WM should have access to, it's this one - if only to get to see Angel the white German Shepherd in action. She's so pretty. heh. Okay, enough gushing... must get to Church soon. These are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. Have a fantastic Sunday!
