"It was a pretty naughty sandwich for a first date. It was a sandwich with all the toppings." "Right here is where the fire is... the heart." Just a couple of the sentiments you will hear from our new cast. What are we watching? "Survivor"... or the naughty side of the "The Bachelor"? It's "Survivor", of course. And I admit.... I watched the premiere. As you might expect, we have a tribe of "Titans" full of egos. And a tribe of "Rebels" trying too hard to prove they are rebels. There are three episodes a week. We COULD do one on Thursday, after "Next Level Chef". And then two on Friday. Seems a reasonable game plan, until Thursday night gets busier. I'm open to whatever works for you guys. I DID manage to connect with our Australian correspondent DNA42. He said he would try to join in our chats when he's able. So who is interested in having a chat about "Australian Survivor: Titans Vs. Rebels"?

Hello Survivor Fans, I have watched the first two episodes and am ready to pick up with Episode 3. Should be ready to do that right at 8 pm if you guys are ready to go. Who wants to chat Survivor UK at 8 pm? Hello Survivor fans, The remaining five castaways must stack up a win in the immunity challenge to secure a spot in the final four; one castaway is crowned sole survivor.
I think our general consensus is that if Dee is in the final three at the end, she will win. Unless "bitter jury syndrome" takes over and non-Reba jurists want to punish that tribe by NOT rewarding them the money. As you all know, I've been rooting for Austin most of the season (well, post-Kaleb!) but his crush on Dee might be his Achilles heel. Dee showed superior game strategy despite her close connection with him. Rob C and Mike Bloom on RHAP had some interesting analysis about how this last episode could play out this week. If only I had the time this morning.... but sadly, I don't. Work, you know...... Wednesday night is when someone is named the season 45 "Sole Survivor." COME ON IN, GUYS! The castaways must roll their way through the reward challenge to win a picnic in the middle of the ocean, before taking on the immunity challenge to try to earn a spot in the final five.
Surely it is not Austin who says this. We all assume Dee is the NEW girlfriend. So then Julie would be the EX? (Uh, the ex's mother, maybe....). Such drama! Symbolically speaking, WM. Julie thought she was Austin's number one, right? And now she is learning she is NOT. However, she COULD have kept herself in his good graces by giving his idol back to him. Yes, his fault for handing it over so willingly (in good faith, to protect her when they thought she was in trouble) but if she WANTED him to not turn on her... she COULD have had a discussion with him about that idol instead of just taking ownership. Perhaps then she wouldn't have been in as much trouble last week. Just saying. At least he still has his idol and I believe this is the last episode he can use it. So GO AUSTIN! I'm over being mad at him. EJetson talked me down (see last week's page). Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS! Castaways celebrate a victory after tribal council; castaways must rope a win in the individual immunity challenge to fight for safety and reward.
Has anyone been reading discussions about the last episode? Emily is getting both love and hate. Imagine if EW was still giving us discussion pages; it would be mayhem. Mayhem! Some people feel that she made a HUGE move and has set herself up for a win with this exceptional bit of strategy. Others feel like she made a HUGE mistake that is setting up Reba four to cruise to victory. "Why the heck are they not splitting the Rebas up?" they wonder. I found one comment interesting: "People love Emily and are giving her far more credit than she deserves just because they like her." FASCINATING... considering where her game began. Can we give her credit for being the girl everyone hated episode one to the girl everyone loves this close to end game? I can. Some expressed disgust at this horrible bunch of castaways who aren't really playing Survivor. Others have praise for this pretty solid cast. The audience seems to be quite split this season. I personally think this has been a good cast overall. I just want "old school" Survivor back. Or at least something more resembling "old school" (like a return of the legendary "Survivor auction"! Oh, wait a minute!). But since I can't have that... this season has been a pretty good one. Am I wrong? I saw all of this on "Survivor" facebook discussions. I didn't participate in the discussion; just found it fascinating to read through. Oh, and I'll guess... Julie or maybe Emily on the episode title. (Julie. Hell, she practically said this exact same thing last week at tribal council!) Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS! Castaways must navigate through a maze where they are inches away from disaster or victory to win the reward challenge and earn a night in the sanctuary.
I'm giving the episode title for this one to Bruce. Not sure why. Any thoughts, WM? The "mobster"? OMG, is he referencing my favourite Australian Survivor older woman, "The Godmother" Janine (who was brutally robbed of victory by the completely useless Pia, the Australian version of Survivor 41's Erica)? Maybe just before Jeff sends them up to vote, Bruce will turn to his alliance mate and say "Erica, when you get to the urn, one of two things will be on your parchment: the name I told you to write down - or your BRAINS!" #TheGodfatherHumourBostonRobWillLove I doubt it, WM. hee hee. (Well that's disappointing!) Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS! In order to win immunity, castaways must compete in a three-part challenge; some castaways take a journey and face another difficult decision.
I'm going to give credit for the episode title to Napoleon Dynamite because he's the smartest person on the tribe, heh. I don't even know what a "Sword of Damocles" is. Anyone else have any guesses? Who wants to Live Chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS!! The Survivor auction is back! Castaways must fuel up to keep going in the game; they must also be the last one standing in the immunity challenge to earn a spot in the final nine.
Must say, they are doing much better in the "episode title" department this season. Now, who makes this funny comment, I wonder? And are they confusing - or trying to combine - "You can lead a horse to water" with "Flogging a dead horse"? Oh please, I hope they follow the suggestion people have been making online for years now: do NOT offer an idol or advantage for bid at the auction! Offer only food items. When the last one goes, Jeff calls the end of the auction. And all the starving money hoarders will be standing there with no food in their bellies and now useless Survivor dollars in their hands! Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS! Zap2It gave such a generic Survivor synopsis, it's postless to point it. Wonder who is having the thorn/thumb issue?
After last week's fantastic tribal council, can't wait to see how Kaleb is able to protect his game moving forward. If he is able to, good on him. Never mind he was saved by one of those completely random, luck-of-the-draw plays that usually annoy me. I like Kaleb, so it's okay this time. :-}} Wait! We have an OFFICIAL synopsis now: "Castaways must hold on for their lives during the first individual immunity challenge to earn safety and a reward at the sanctuary; castaways must come to a consensus on who to vote out at tribal council, where two people leave the game." Oh! Hang onto your hats, folks! We are losing TWO people tonight! Perhaps one of those challenges where the tribes are split by gender, and one man and one woman get immunity? But Catlover! Castaways forced to "Come to a consensus" on who to vote out is the worst possible scenario for our buddy Kaleb! Last week the tribe came to a consensus to vote him out without even being FORCED to! Is there any reason to think he won't be the easy target seven days later? We must hope and pray Kaleb wins immunity tonight! Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? COME ON IN, GUYS! Castaways must roll their way to a win in the immunity challenge, leaving the rest at risk of going home; a comment from day one comes back to haunt one of the castaways.
I guess we all know who says the episode title; no guesswork required here. But I AM wondering who gets haunted by a day one comment. Maybe Emily - I'm thinking of her first episode attack on Bruce right when the show started. (Did you mean Katurah? She's the one obsessed with Bruce to the point of perhaps requiring the Survivor psychiatric team. Emily was on the loser yellow tribe on episode one.) No, I meant Emily. I'm having a memory of her verbally attacking Bruce because he was a returning player or something (even though he didn't even make it through one episode last time, so you could barely call him that) in the first episode before they even jumped off the boat. I was trying to find a reference to it on Dalton's recap but couldn't. Did I dream this moment? Oh well. (Maybe it's combination of both. Maybe Emily was the FIRST to bring up Bruce's previous experience, then Katurah grabbed that branch and ran with it to the point of no longer being able to think of a single other thing?) I believe the merge is this week (You believe correctly - unless we should "expect the unexpected"). Who wants to live chat "Survivor" at 8 pm? |
