Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good morning, RTV people. Hope you guys are all doing well. I've got everyone home right now so enjoying time with kids, not online as much as normal. I apologize for my lack of participation. Seems like a lot of shows are ending which means summer programs will be starting. We will have a couple of "in between" weeks of not much to chat. So let's take a look at this week: Sunday, May 16th "American Idol: My Personal Idol/Artist Singles" Season 19 Episode 18, 8 pm on ABC Artist FINNEAS mentors the finalists, who are grouped to perform two of his songs; the top four perform two additional songs each; FINNEAS performs with Ashe; the top three finalists are revealed. Not sure how many more episodes are left, but if we are getting down to final three - it won't be long. I just realized I never went back and finished last week after switch to Zoey. Hmm.... "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: Zoey's Extraordinary Goodbye" Season Two FINALE, Episode 13, 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: Zoey must face a difficult goodbye. I refuse to accept this: we will not be forever losing Max. Nope. Won't happen. Not possible. Did the writers of the show get the message yet? I fear they will lose their entire audience if Max goes. This is the finale for season two. They will leave us wondering all summer - then when the show comes back, an idea from me on what could take place. MAX will be coming home after a huge breakup with the girl (Rose) who convinced him to move. He will be brokenhearted. And Zoey will be there to help. Simon will see how "heart-connected" the two of them are and will realize that Zoey and Max should remain this way forever. He will step back - or meet the girl of HIS dreams - Sarah Wayne Collies! Let's all come up with suggestions on what songs could be sung (well, Fleetwood Mac"s "Sara", of course!) Hmm.... got nothing. Will think on this some more. "The Rookie: Threshold", Season 3 FINALE, Episode 13, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: Officer Nolan mildly injures himself while chasing down a shoplifter and the local district attorney wants to charge the suspect with assault, despite Nolan's wishes; Lucy goes under cover; Lopez' wedding venue is seized by the FBI. I don't have nearly as much to say here. I still like the show. Haven't been as enthused about this season, but the likable, engaging characters will bring me back in September - assuming there will BE a next season? Have we heard the word? This is also a finale. Next Sunday will be far less busy, for sure. Monday, May 16th "The Voice: Top 9 Perform", Season 20 Episode 14 The top nine artists perform in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton for their chance at a spot in the finale. Top nine already? Not even sure why I'm including this. No one watches but me and I'm a couple of episodes behind. Heh. I guess just because SOMETHING needs to be on Monday. I miss the days when we had quite a few who watched and chatted along. Tuesday, May 18th "The Voice" results show at 8 pm.. "This Is Us: Jerry 2.0" Season 5 Episode 25, 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: Kevin and Madison partake in their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties.... ... which will cause some fond memories of the Jack and Rebecca wedding. Awww. I don't know this will happen. Just a guess. My only question is... who is Jerry? "Prodigal Son: The Last Weekend" Finale (I beg of you Fox; SEASON finale, not the series finale! Listen to the fans of the show for once!!), Season 2 Episode 13, 9 pm on FOX Episode synopsis reads like this: The search for a serial killer known as "The Woodsman" might help the NYPD find one of its own. Half afraid to watch this if it's going to end on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved. Somebody's head at Fox should roll over this decision. Rare to find a dark police drama with such engaging characters and clever humor. Someone needs to save this one... it needs to continue. Anyone fighting to save it (twitter is!) Don't know... but they should be. Here's to you, "Prodigal Son". We will miss you. "Big Sky: Love is a Strange and Dangerous Thing", Season 1 Episode 16, 9 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: Cassie and Jenny leave the Kleinsasser women to forge their own path, ridding themselves of their ranch troubles and heading back home; Ronald leads the team on a wild goose chase, straight into the arms of the syndicate. But, of course, THIS dark show with no clever humor will survive (plain and simple: money. Deeper-pocketed networks like NBC can afford more expensive scripted shows like "Big Sky"; Fox lives by cheaper-to-produce reality shows [like its two dozen "masked" ones] and struggles with scripted ones). I'm grumpy over the cancellation of "Prodigal Son". Can you tell? Wednesday, May 19th "The Masked Singer: The Quarter Finals-Five Fan Favorites" Season 5, Episode 11, 8 pm on Fox The final four sing their hearts out in the semifinals; Cluedle-Doo finally reveals himself (or....cleverly disguised HERself???) Do we have any good guesses for Cluedle-Doo? (Jamie Foxx!) Hmm.... Thursday, May 20th "Manifest: Compass Calibration" Season 3 Episode 10, 8 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: Ben's pursuit of a vulnerable passenger's calling lands him in the crosshairs of an enemy; Michaela unearths a dangerous arsenal of 828 hate; a seemingly natural disaster leads Saanvi to make a bold move. Friday, May 21st I've given up on trying to initiate any chats. Much as we all love Survivor, people just seem completely uninterested I will, for sure, be checking out the South African season starting soon. If anyone would care to play along, please let me know. Would be happy to make it a channel thing. Not going to take the time right now to look for summer TV news. Need to leave soon. Hope you all have a fantastic Sunday. Anyway, these are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments.

Hello RTV People If you are all caught up on anything you care about from last night's TV, you are safe to enter. Truth be told, this page has become a pretty fun one, full of randomness. No one here will post anything that hasn't already aired on TV. You only need to worry if you missed something from last night that you don't want spoiled! So if you are NOT caught up on LAST NIGHT'S TV..... yada, yada, yada. Have a great day!

Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good morning, RTV people. And a very.... To all of our Moms, Step-Moms, Grandmoms, Greatgrandmoms... wishing you all a happy and wonderful day. As mentioned on yesterday's Daily Page (that no one seemed a bit interested in) we have a brand new season of "Survivor" to enjoy this summer. No, not the US version but something with the potential to be good. It's the eight season of the South African franchise. I've seen two of the previous seasons and found them very good. 2021's begins on June 3rd and there are already some good teasers out there. My "go-to" for these kinds of things is RHAP (Rob Has A Podcast); international Survivor podcasts are done by Shannan Gaitz, an Australian journalist who does a fantastic job. Here is a link to the first two installments of her pre-season cast assessments. She is joined by RHAP's own Mike Bloom. Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island Pre-Season Interviews, Part 1 – RobHasAwebsite.com Survivor South Africa: Immunity Island Pre-Season Interviews, Part 2 – RobHasAwebsite.com The challenging part for international watches is finding a good link. I have a source that is usually reliable but I haven't used it in a while. I will check there first. Most of the time, South Africa makes them available on both Dailymotion and YouTube. Finding a good time to group chat can also be challenging. If anyone is interested in checking this new season out, let me know. Moving on to the upcoming week: Sunday, May 9th "American Idol: 417 (Coldplay Songbook & Mother's Day Dedication)" Season 19 Episode 17, 8 pm on ABC "The remaining finalists perform one song dedicated to the special loved ones in their lives in honor of Mother's Day and a second song from the Coldplay songbook, mentored by the band's lead singer, Chris Martin." Oh that's right! Coldplay songs... I expect Ali to know each and every one because I sure won't. Heh. "American Ninja Warrior: The American Ninja Warrior Women's Championship" 7 pm on NBC Twelve elite female competitors battle across two daunting courses; the top four finishers advance to race head-to-head on the power tower, with the winner taking home $50,000 and becoming the first-ever American Ninja Warrior Women's Champion. Not the official start of the new season but potentially a fun watch. Do these ANW shows have the potential to draw ConorL out of hiding? heh. "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: Zoey's Extraordinary Session" Season 2 Episode 12, 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: In therapy, Zoey reflects back on her unexpectedly profound first day working at SPRQPoint. Wait... do we get an appearance from Lauren Graham? Wouldn't that be wonderful? Much as I'm enjoying her as "cool hockey mom" on "The Mighty Ducks" ... we sure miss her as Joan. No mention of Joan on the previews, but...... an appearance from dad! Peter Gallagher is back! And a much younger Zoey and Max! "The Rookie: Triple Duty " Season 3 Episode 12, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: Officers Nolan and Bradford hope they can de-escalate a drug war before any innocent lives are lost; Officer Harper hopes she can get Officer Chen ready to go under cover. Last time we saw Nolan's mom (Frances Fisher), she was told in no uncertain terms to leave his house. Something tells me she won't be making a sentimental appearance to honour this occasion tonight! Monday, May 10th "The Voice: Top 17 Perform", Season 20 Episode 13 The winner of the four-way knockout is revealed; the remaining top 17 artists perform in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, John Legend and Blake Shelton for their chance at a spot in the top nine. I thought I was caught up on this but I don't recall a 4 way knockout. I guess I shouldn't have blown off last week's filler - I thought - show. Hmm... Tuesday, May 11th The Voice... results show at 8 pm.. Didn't know this. "This Is Us: The Music and the Mirrors", 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: Beth navigates her career path; Kate and Toby face unexpected issues; a run-in with someone from his past gives Kevin pause. Did we get a hint of who the past friend was (well, "someone from his past" doesn't automatically mean a "friend". Kevin's past relationships didn't always end well, did they?) I believe we did but can't recall the name. Beth's friend and the one who traveled to Vietnam with him last season? "Prodigal Son: Sun and Fun", Season 2 Episode 12, 9 pm on FOX (Now that is an entirely too happy title for this show. Heh) Episode synopsis reads like this: As the search intensifies for a serial killer on the run, so does Malcolm's tenacity, causing U.S. Marshal Emily Ruiz to kick him off the case. Now, I have a dilemma this night. I got word from "The Chosen" that Season 2 Episode 4 will be dropping at 9 pm on Tuesday. Will I be able to wait until after TIS to watch? Not sure.... we will find out on Tuesday. I guess I could just watch it at 10 pm while you guys chat.... "Big Sky: Nice Animals", Season 1 Episode 15, 9 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: When Scarlet gets an alarming call that her sister is missing, Ronald realizes just how twisted his situation has become; Cassie, Jenny, Gil and Rosie find themselves in trouble on the ranch. Oh dear. A child in danger. Glad I'm not watching. (Child missing? Only child this season is Scarlet's daughter, and she wasn't mentioned) Wednesday, May 12th "The Masked Singer: The Quarter Finals-Five Fan Favorites" Season 5, Episode 10, 8 pm on Fox The final five singers perform in the quarterfinals to see who advances to the semifinals. This just in; the guest judge will be "Holey Moley's" Rob Riggle. Should be a hoot. Yeti, Piglet, Black Swan, Russian Dolls, and Chameleon are the ones still in competition. The season is winding down in a hurry. Who will win the coveted "Masked Singer" championship? And just who is the person underneath the Cock-A-Doodle costume? We will have to watch to find out. Thursday, May 5th "Manifest: Bogey" Season 3 Episode 9, 8 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: Ben reunites with a duplicitous foe; Michaela and Zeke's dinner party with Jared and his new girlfriend is halted by a calling that ignites the Stone siblings to save the life of one of their own; Olive's friendship with Levi blossoms but is tested. No double episode this week. Awww. (Hey! How come Michaela doesn't get the first line in the synopsis this week??? WTH??) Friday, May 14th Finally found a pretty good list of summer premieres... here is the link if you are interested. TV Premiere Dates 2021 Guide – The Hollywood Reporter Of particular note: Crime Scene Kitchen, Wednesday, May 26th Hosted by Joel McHale. A somewhat different take on a cooking show. American Ninja Warrior, Monday May 31st Premiere of Season 13 Making It, Thursday June 3rd Premiere of Season 3 The Chase and To Tell The Truth, Sunday June 6th Didn't these two shows just end? hmm The Bachelorette, Monday June 7th Holey Moley and The Hustler, Thursday June 17th Season three for Holey Moley. Season two for The Hustler. And you guys thought it wouldn't get renewed! I'm happy; I really enjoyed both these shows. Didn't see a mention of Big Brother (unless I missed it completely). Hmm. If there is any info to be had, I'm sure QOTROS has it already. Also, not seeing much in the way of scripted shows to care about. It's okay; I need to watch less TV anyway. Heh. Anyway, these are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. Have a great day!

Hello RTV Fanatics Unite fans! From Ricky the Rat, Rufus the Rat Terrier, And, of course me, Catlover04! Good morning, RTV people. Our boards have been pretty quiet lately: not a lot of TV to chat about, and a lack of enthusiasm for any Survivor rewatches. Seriously, we need some NEW Survivor. I was hoping at least we'd get a new "Survivor Australia" after reading they are doing a new season (in Queensland instead of Fiji). Still don't know just when. This article was on "Inside Survivor" in February and I haven't seen any more recent news. Australian Survivor To Film in Queensland - Inside Survivor Usually new seasons air mid-summer. We will have to see if they are able to keep that schedule. As for US "Survivor", this article from "Monsters and Critics" five days ago mentions that it is currently filming in Fiji and expects to have its premiere on schedule, around late-September when "Big Brother" is ending. Great news! Survivor 41 start date: When will new season of Survivor air on CBS? (monstersandcritics.com) But some things I've read make me wonder if it will be anywhere close to the enjoyable show I know and love. Still, this channel needs some fresh Survivor in order to breathe life back into us. Seriously, we were BUILT on the fun of Survivor! There are some people who only visit this channel during the Survivor seasons: ConorL, MadamP, DNA42, to name a few. We miss you people terribly! Maybe I need to dabble in some Survivor fan fiction? Heh. Or resurrect Jasper for some "Never Gonna Happen" fun. I still would love to do a rewatch. Survivor 33 - Millennials versus Gen X is the season I'm looking at, but the issue is WHEN? Friday had been the traditional time but I've had zero success getting that off the ground - am I beating a dead horse trying? So if anyone is interested in some "Survivor" fun, please let me know. Would love to make something happen. Moving on to this week's TV chat schedule, which is a bit better than last week: Sunday, May 2nd "American Idol: Top 16" Season 19 Episode 16, 8 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: "The results of the comeback show; the top nine travel to Walt Disney World for a one-on-one session with a celebrity mentor; the top seven finalists are revealed." Only one episode this week! And "Zoey" is creating a conflict. As is typical for me, if daughter is home I'll probably just watch this till the end since she likes it too. If she is NOT home, I'll switch at 9 pm for Zoey and finish this later. "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist: Zoey's Extraordinary Double Date" Season 2 Episode 11, 9 pm on NBC Episode synopsis reads like this: "Zoey attempts to throw all her energy into her relationship, but things get complicated when a double date doesn't go as planned." Surely she and Simon are not double dating with Max and his girl? That seems crazy. "The Rookie: Brave Heart" Season 3 Episode 11, 10 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: "After rushing his son to the hospital following his collapse, Nolan is reunited with his ex-wife, and they must come together to help their son; Detective Lopez discovers La Fiera is in the same hospital and wants to find out exactly why." Reading this synopsis is making me realize that we haven't seen Nolan's doctor friend (played by Ali Lartner) all season. I can't recall how that ended. Whimsicali? Do you remember? I recall we agreed the doctor was good for our Nolan - but something happened to break them up. Details...they are escaping me. On my proofread, I seem to recall something about her ex-husband coming back in the picture? I think that was it... now I remember. Anyway, moving on. Monday, May 3rd "The Voice: Knockouts Part 2", Season 20 Episode 11 Awww... filler show. Probably won't even bother to watch. Which is leaving Monday WIDE open. Survivor 33 rewatch anyone? Unless there is a BB CAN in the way. HEY! Just realized I've been forgetting to add Big Brother Canada on this page for WEEKS.... WM? Not even sure when it airs these days. This is the last week of Big Brother Canada! We're down to the final four, about to find out who the final HOH will be. The show airs on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, when a two-hour special will crown the winner of Big Brother Canada season nine! Tuesday, May 4th One more repeat week for "This Is Us" - what is up with that, I wonder - but all that means is that those of us who like "Prodigal Son" can watch in live time. "Prodigal Son: You Can Run", Season 2 Episode 11, 9 pm on FOX Episode synopsis reads like this: "After a terrifying incident at Claremont, Malcolm is in a race against time to track down multiple killers; the NYPD realizes someone close to home might be the key to finding them." Multiple killers, one of whom is none other than the Surgeon himself! Malcolm would have to be the key. The Surgeon, for all his terrifying faults, loves his son. This will be an interesting episode. "Big Sky: Nice Animals", Season 1 Episode 14, 9 pm on ABC Episode synopsis reads like this: "Cassie, Jenny, Jerrie and Lindor work to get things back on track when the motel is reduced to rubble; at the ranch, Cheyenne seizes an opportunity to shift the family power dynamic in her favor." I know I haven't been watching this show but is this pic not of the Truck Driver? I thought he was out of the picture. Or am I confused. Explain, WM? That is indeed Ronald the truck driver, cleverly disguised and still very much a part of the season. The only thing changed about him is his appearance: his homicidal ways and obsession with his (now deceased) mother remain as strong as ever! But his story is more of a subplot right now: the violently criminal Kleinsasser who run a town by fear are generating all the action now). And while you are at it explain why I cannot remove the BOLD for any of this paragraph but the word "watching" (No idea. I cannot fix it either). Wednesday, May 5th "The Masked Singer: The Spicy 6" Season 5, Episode 9, 8 pm on Fox Episode synopsis reads like this: "The final six sing for the golden mask trophy; guest panelist Chrissy Metz." Chrissy Metz! Awww. Fun! She is jumping ship from NBC to do this? Is this allowed? Plan to watch and chat this on time, right? Thursday, May 5th "Manifest: Precious Cargo" Season 3 Episode 7, 8 pm on NBC, followed by episode 8 "Graveyard Destination Unknown" at 9 pm. Episode synopsis of "Precious Cargo": "Michaela questions Ben's developing relationship with Eureka; a new adversarial group suspicious of Ben takes drastic measures to gain answers; Saanvi proves her worth through a scientific breakthrough; Angelina reaches a breaking point." Episode synopsis of "Destination Unknown": "Michaela and Ben join forces to aid a desperate Flight 828 passenger; Saanvi grapples with a discovery at Eureka and the burden of secrecy that comes with it; Grace and Angelina's bond deepens; a maturing Cal enlists Zeke's help in a personal matter." Another double episode week for "Manifest". Two weeks in a row. Not that I mind, but it does seem like they are trying to get the season over with quickly. This show IS compelling TV though. Friday, May 6th I am open to Survivor 33 on this night - but this is the weekend that my daughter is moving home from college. Right now, it looks like I'll be doing that on Saturday morning. That could change though: I'll just have to let you know. Running through this, I have picked Monday night as a possibility to work in a couple of Survivor 33 episodes. And maybe Friday night. Anyone interested in any of this at all. Let me know. If not, I'll just give up and watch the season alone. But don't be surprised if I STILL make all kind of comments somewhere, just for kicks. We need some Survivor conversation somehow.. somewhere... "Over the rainbow / bluebirds fly..." And monkeys observe from their treetops. Heh. I really miss Survivor as you can tell by my Survivor-themed page today. These are my Rat Musings for the day. If I missed anything, or if you have something to add, please do so in the comments. Have a great day!
